If you ask me if there is any big difference between the Eureka NEU202 vs NEU203, my answer will be “No.” The only difference I’ve known is the market versions. The Eureka NEU202 has the Canadian version NEU202C. Meanwhile, for the NEU203, I can only find the US version online.
Apart from that, they have the same specifications and cleaning performance. So, I will give my honest review of their performance in this post.

For me, the performance of Eureka NEU202 and NEU203 is good. I mean, they meet my standard cleaning requirements with ease.
Cleaning performance
For the cleaning performance, they do have good suction and can pick up different types of objects on the floor, such as fruit loops, pet and human hairs, and sand, without any kickback. Note that sharp objects like broken glasses should be removed before vacuuming to keep your vacuum functioning well in the long run.
They have traditional bristles brush and a wide nozzle of 12.6 inches with 5-setting adjustable height. Their brush rolls do a good job of loosening dirt embedded in the carpet, while their adjustable nozzle height supports their movement and vacuuming efficiency on different carpet piles, from low to high and thick rugs or carpets.
However, it is impossible to turn off their brush rollers while the power is on, even when putting them in the straight upright position. I personally prefer the vacuum model having the option to turn off the brush roll for the suction-only mode when using the hose with attachments or delicate floors.
Design & Convenience
Both Eureka PowerSpeed NEU202 and NEU203 can be considered lightweight as they are all under 13 lbs. So, for me, they are relatively easy to push and pull on carpets and bare floors. They have standard-length cords of 25 ft. and an extended hose length of about 7 ft. This provides enough reach range for an apartment, in my opinion.
However, I see that they are not easy to steer because they are old-school built and have no swivel joints. They also do not have the lift-away feature, so I have to carry a whole vacuum on the stair to clean it. This is just my specific need, so it may not be too significant to other people. Overall, they are still decent vacuums for the price.
Dirt Tank & Filtration
Eureka PowerSpeed NEU203 and NEU202 have a large dust cup capacity, 2.1 litters, much larger than many vacuums in the market. Besides, their filtration is the conventional type, which consists of multiple filter foams that are washable.
However, I do not really like their filtration systems as they do not have HEPA filters and an allergen-seal air path. This means they may emit micro dust and dust odors considerably, which is not good for allergy or asthma sufferers.
Utility
Features I appreciate about Eureka PowerSpeed NEU203 and NEU202 are the auto-rewind cord and the LED headlights. The cord is easy to put back in with a touch of a button. This is a breeze! The LED headlights efficiently lighten up the dark areas so that I can see every single hair and dust particle on my floors. So amazing!
Their attachments are enough for multi-use. They include a Pet Turbo Brush, a Crevice Tool, a Dusting Brush, and an Upholstery Tool for tackling dust on every surface and in every corner of the house.
