The Dyson V11 works great on carpets and performs well on hard floors, and if you spend extra bucks to buy a soft roller head, it will be a superstar on any type of surface. In addition, it is equipped with a sensor that can automatically adjust the suction based on each surface. Some other pros are a useful LCD screen and a quality set of attachments. Its exorbitant price is the only thing keeping many people from getting it.
The Xiaomi V10 works best on hard surfaces and is just usable on carpets since it comes with a soft roller. It is very light, comes with many accessories, and on top of all that, it is very cheap. So it is a budget-oriented option for those who are looking for a good quality stick vacuum that shines brightly on hard surfaces.

Xiaomi V10 vs Dyson V11: Differences
The Dyson V11 overwhelmed the Xiaomi V10 with a score of 4-0. The winner works great on carpets and performs excellently on hard floors. It also has a good battery life, which can be further extended by purchasing extra batteries. In addition, it is equipped with a modern and useful LCD screen.
Cleaning Performance

Maximum Suction Power
With the Boost mode turned on, the Dyson V11 produces a maximum suction power of 185 AW, which is greater than that of the Xiaomi V10 at 140 AW. So does that mean the Dyson V11 performs better than the Xiaomi V10? Well, not really. Regarding factors that affect how well a vacuum works, the suction power isn’t everything. Some other factors are also important, such as the design of the brush roller.
The Xiaomi V10 comes with a soft roller floorhead, while the Dyson V11 sports a High Torque cleaner head. So even without testing these machines, I can assert that the Xiaomi V10 is ideal for hard floors, while the Dyson V11 works best on carpets.
Note that the version I used is the Dyson V11 Torque Drive. The Dyson V11 Absolute comes with a soft roller head (similar to the Xiaomi V10), which is specially designed for vacuuming bare floors.
Hard Floor
The soft roller of the Xiaomi V10 was excellent for cleaning hard floors. I started by turning on the boost mode and noticed that the vacuum sucked up a lot of dust and debris. But it splashed a small amount of dirt forward, and I quickly realized the cause was the rapidly spinning soft roller.
Then I switched to medium mode, and it picked up everything. It’s worth noting that the Xiaomi V10 may fail to remove large debris, such as fruit loops, which can clog the narrow tube. This is just because of the limit of its design.
As for the Dyson V11, it also picked up about 97% of the debris on my hard floor with the Boost setting enabled. That’s a respectable result for a cordless vacuum, but you can take its cleaning performance on floors to the next level by purchasing a soft roller head separately.
Carpet
Although I believed that the Xiaomi V10 was only suitable for cleaning hard floors, I still tried it on carpets, and it performed better than I had anticipated. On my low-pile carpet, it removed 90% of the debris from the mess, which is not bad for a vacuum that is supposed to work only on bare floors.
I also noticed that the Xiaomi V10 struggled with finer debris, such as fine coffee grounds, which is a common issue with the soft rollers on carpets. On the high-pile carpet, I also ran the V10 Pro at the highest setting, and it only picked up about 60% of the debris. Anyway, that is a pretty good result for a roller without bristles.
As for the Dyson V11, it passed both of my tests with flying colors. The only minor problem was that I found it a bit difficult to maneuver the vacuum on high carpets. So I highly recommend using the Auto mode instead of the Boost setting and/or the adjust gate on the floorhead.

Weight And Maneuverability
The Xiaomi V10 weighs only about 7.7 pounds, which is significantly heavier than the Dyson V11 (6.7 pounds). Of course, the lighter the vacuum, the easier it is to maneuver and carry around. But you should know that an adequately heavy vacuum will provide the necessary grip and friction for the roller to do its job properly.
Maneuvering these machines is generally easy, thanks to the rotating head. By removing the handle from the tube, these models can be used with attachments as portable vacuums. In this configuration, they are much lighter because the floorhead and tube are not there.

Both the Xiaomi V10 vs Dyson V11 can be put on the wall bracket for simultaneous charging and storage, which is a neat and smart solution. The Xiaomi V10’s wall mount has room for three attachments, while the Dyson V11’s docking station can house two.
What’s more, there is a wand clip that allows you to store two attachments on the Dyson V11’s body. So you can keep your two most important attachments with you during your vacuuming journey.
You can also purchase a floor stand (about $70) to store the Dyson V11 without drilling or punching holes in the wall. This stand can also store all the attachments.

As you can see, whichever vacuuming mode is turned on, the Dyson V11 lasts a bit longer than the Dreame V10. But the key area where the Dyson V11 triumphs over the Xiaomi V10 is that the first one uses a click-in battery, while the second one is powered by a built-in one.
That means the Dyson V11’s battery can be removed, replaced, or recharged independently without the vacuum, which you can’t do with the Xiaomi V10. So you can double or even triple the Dyson V11’s runtime by buying extra batteries.
Dustbin Size And Filters
Winner: Dyson V11
The Dyson V11’s dustbin has a capacity of 0.76 liters, which is bigger than the average. If you think it’s a bit small, remember we’re talking about stick vacuums! All the recent Dyson stick vacuums, including the Dyson V11, share an easy emptying mechanism. All you need to do is push down a latch, and the outer transparent sleeve will jolt down, then everything will be ejected. You may need to do this up-and-down motion several times to remove everything.
With a 0.5-liter capacity, the Dreame V10 has a slightly smaller dustbin than the Dyson V11. This dust cup is vertically aligned with a lid at the bottom that is opened by pressing a button (also located on the bottom) to empty the cup. I think this emptying mechanism isn’t user-friendly since the location of the release button may cause dirt to fall on your hands.
The HEPA filter on these machines is removable and washable, and it should be washed often to keep the machine running well.
Utilities
Winner: Dyson V11
Display Screen
The Dyson V11 sports an LCD screen that displays the currently enabled vacuuming modes and the remaining battery. Better yet, when maintenance is required or a problem with the filter is raised, the screen will give an alert with animation that will help you fix the issue easier.
Unfortunately, not only is there no screen, but the Xiaomi V10 has nothing to indicate about battery life. It would be awkward and frustrating to try to figure out how much runtime is left while vacuuming.
On/Off Trigger
The Xiaomi V10 vs Dyson V11 share a pistol-like trigger, which is used to activate the vacuum. But the Xiaomi Dreame V10 presents the “Hold” function, so it is unnecessary to hold down the trigger while vacuuming. Those with weak hands will definitely fall in love with function.
