If you’re looking for a high-end cordless stick vacuum around the $500 mark, my Xiaomi Dreame T30 Vs Dyson V11 comparison will help you decide which one you should get.
While the Dyson V11 is no longer the Dyson’s most intelligent, powerful cordless vacuum, it’s still a top-notch model and hard to beat in its price bracket. It works well on carpets and hard floors, has a great set of attachments, comes with respectable battery life, and features a handy LCD screen.
Although the Xiaomi Dreame T30 isn’t a Dyson killer, it is still a good-value-for-money option. It offers some cutting-edge features, a nifty digital display screen, and solid vacuuming performance around the house.

Xiaomi Dreame T30 Vs Dyson V11: Differences
The Dyson V11 wins 2-1 and ties once against the Dreame T30. The Dyson V11 comes with a better set of attachments, has a longer battery life, and sports a sealed system with a HEPA-grade filter.
Cleaning Performance
Winner: Tie
Suction Power And Floorhead
Regarding maximum suction, the Xiaomi Dreame T30 vs Dyson V11 are neck and neck (with 190 AW and 185 AW, respectively), and they are all significantly more powerful than their predecessors. I have also tested some more powerful models, such as the Dyson V15 or the Samsung Bespoke Jet.
Both the Xiaomi Dreame T30 vs Dyson V11 (Torque Drive) come with only one floorhead, which is designed for all floor types don’t have a soft roller attachment. The Dyson V11’s floor cleaning nozzle features a V-shape brush pattern and combs to minimize hair wrap, while the Dyson V11’s high torque cleaner head is also equipped with anti-tangle technology.
Hard Floor
My examinations showed that the Dreame T30 wasn’t effective and powerful enough on this surface type. It could easily pick up almost all the smallest dust particles and slightly larger debris. Still, it struggled with particularly large debris since its multi-floor cleaning head lacked clearance. That is why I never prefer using the standard nozzle for cleaning hard floors.
The Dyson V11, on the other hand, easily picked up almost all the debris in the first pass, including larger ones, since its high torque cleaner head has two adjustable gates. I just ensured these gates were fully opened to pick up all the large debris. If you opt for the V11 Absolute version, you will get a soft roller, which can achieve flawless scores on hard floors. The good news is that this roller can also be purchased separately on Amazon or Dyson’s original website.
Carpet
Thankfully, the Dreame T30 got almost flawless scores (98%) on both high- and low-pile carpets with the turbo mode enabled. This score is a notch below the Dyson V11 (nearly 100%), but still a great percentage. I also used the eco, middle, and auto settings, and the overall score didn’t change significantly.
The Dyson V11, as mentioned above, could pick up almost all of the debris on my carpets with the auto mode turned on. On the boost setting, it was so strong that it “devoured” my carpet, making it very difficult to push the vacuum.
Hair Removal
Both the Xiaomi Dreame T30 vs Dyson V11 passed my hair tests with flying colors. They could remove all the hair, and almost no hair stayed on their rollers because, as mentioned above, their floorhead is equipped with anti-twist technology. So if you’re a pet owner, you’ll be fine with one of them.
Design And Usability

Attachments & Storage
Xiaomi Dreame T30 | Dyson V11 |
---|---|
Multi-floor cleaning head Dusting brush Motorized mini-brush Combination tool Flexible elbow joint Wall-mounted storage Battery (x1) | High Torque cleaner head Stubborn dirt brush Mini soft dusting brush Combination tool Crevice tool Mini Motorized tool Docking station & Charger Wand storage clip Battery (x1) |
Like most cord-free vacuums, the Xiaomi Dreame T30 vs Dyson V11 can’t stand upright on their own, so they rely on the wall mount that installs directly for storage and charging.
The Dreame T30’s wall mount can store three tools, while the Dyson V11’s only has room for two attachments. The Dyson V11 has an onboard storage adapter (or wand storage clip), which allows you to keep the combination attachment and crevice tool within reach while vacuuming. It is worth noticing that you have the floor stand option to store/charge the Dyson vacuum, which is ideal for people who hate/can’t drill into their walls, but it is an additional $90.
Weight & Maneuverability
The weights of the Dyson V11 and Xiaomi Dreame T30 are very close – 6.7 lbs and 6.8 lbs, respectively. They are lightweight but still feel solid and well-built, different from the fragile feel of the Tineco A11 Master. I didn’t feel any part would break anytime soon, but only time can give an accurate picture of the overall quality.
These machines are all great ergonomically. I did feel them a bit top-heavy (meaning most of the weight was put in my hand) due to the design – the motor and dust cup are on top, but pushing them around wasn’t a daunting task for me. Getting in and out of tight areas is a breeze thanks to the swivel head, but the Dreame T30’s steering felt a bit stiff, and it didn’t turn as sharply as the Dyson V11.
Like all stick vacs, these models can be turned into handheld vacuums (looks like giant pistols), which are considerably more compact and lighter. With the proper tools attached, I could easily clean stairs, ceilings, bookshelves, and even inside my car.
Battery Life
Xiaomi Dreame T30 | Dyson V11 | |
---|---|---|
Battery Life | Eco: ≈ 49 mins | Eco: ≈ 76 mins |
Med: 25 mins | Med: ≈ 35 mins | |
Turbo: 10 mins | Boost: ≈ 9 mins | |
Charging Time | ≈ 4 hours | ≈ 3 hours |
I did the above tests with the main nozzle attached. Unlike most older Dyson stick vacuums that use built-in batteries, the Dyson V11 comes with a removable click-in battery that can be charged with or without the handheld unit. The charging time is quite long, so I recommend buying an extra battery, which costs about $190, to double its runtime. Yes, its battery is quite expensive, but time is the most valuable asset!
Likewise, the Dreame T30 also uses a removable battery, and the spare battery also needs to be purchased separately. The battery can’t be charged separately since the charging pin is on the handle.
Dust Cup & Filtration System
Winner: Dyson V11
The Dreame T30 shares a 0.66-liter dust cup with the older T10 and T20 models, which is slightly smaller than the V11’s dust canister. It has the trap door design as many stick vacs available out there.
The Dyson V11 sports a 0.75-liter dust cup, which is on the large side, and emptying it couldn’t be easier: Just detach the wand or attachment from the handheld unit, place the dust cup directly above the garbage, and push a red lever down to send all the debris into your garbage. The fascinating part is that I rarely had to put my hand inside the cup to remove clogged clumps of dusty hair – a widespread issue with stick vacuums that simply open a hatch like the Dreame T30.
Regarding the filtration system, the Dreame T30 features two filters: one pre-motor filter and one HEPA post-motor filter. I tested it with a fog machine and found that there was a slight leak – that said, it has no sealed system. So there is a risk of allergens escaping before being trapped by the filters. So there is a risk of allergens escaping before being trapped by the filters. All filters are washable.
The Dyson V11, on the other hand, takes the lead with a fully sealed system and a rear HEPA filter. So if you have severe allergies or asthma, you’ll be better off with this one. The filter can be rinsed under water – just ensure it is bone dry before reusing.
Utilities
Winner: Xiaomi Dreame T30
Digital Screen
The Dyson V11 features a handy LCD screen on the back of the handheld part, which accurately shows battery life in minutes, shows the cleaning mode used, and delivers a guide on resolving blockages. It is much more advanced than the simple LED screen on the Dyson V11 Animal or the V10.
There is also a display on the back of the Dreame T30’s handheld unit, which in my opinion, is smarter and more advanced than the Dyson V11’s LCD screen. It shows the dust level, the remaining runtime, and the current power mode and offers a wide variety of language options. The T30 features an advanced sensor that can count dust particles and displays this data on the screen through a line graph, but it doesn’t show the count and size of dust particles like the Dyson V15. This feature can theoretically tell if an area is clean, but I found it seemed only to detect larger debris and couldn’t monitor smaller particles better than larger ones.
Control Method
To turn the Dyson V11 on and keep it running continuously, you will have to hold down a trigger. This feature, according to Dyson, is very nice for extended cleaning runs since it only uses power when needed. However, the biggest chink in this design’s armor is that it will make your hand tired quickly, making longer cleaning cycles more tiring. To toggle between three cleaning modes, just press a small circle button on the LCD screen.
The Dreame T30, on the other hand, also has a trigger used to power the vacuum. But it is ahead of the game since there is a digital lock on the smart display screen, allowing you to lock the trigger so you don’t have to keep it pressed the whole time with your index finger. There is also another button on the screen to switch between power modes.
Suction Power Mode
Apart from “Eco” and ” Boost” modes, the Dyson V11 also has an “Auto” mode, which can adjust the suction power depending on the floor type. Its High Torque head uses the dynamic load sensor (DLS), which can detect the type of flooring and automatically adjust the suction power for optimal performance.
On the flip side, the Dreame T30 has four power levels, including eco, med, auto, and turbo. The Auto setting also allows the unit to automatically increase/decrease suction based on what type of surface is detected.
