Tineco S11 vs Dyson V11 are two of the most popular cordless stick vacuum cleaners on the market today. Both models offer powerful suction, long battery life, and a range of useful features to make cleaning easier and more efficient. However, my experiences show that the winner is the Dyson V11.
Dyson V11 is known for its powerful suction and innovative features, such as the Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) system and LCD screen. The DLS system allows the vacuum to automatically adjust the motor speed and suction power depending on the surface being cleaned. The LCD screen provides real-time information about battery life, cleaning modes, and filter maintenance. Also, this machine has a longer battery life than many other cordless vacuums, providing up to 60 minutes of runtime.
Tineco S11 is a more budget-friendly option that still offers impressive performance and features. The S11 comes with a dual-charging battery system, allowing you to charge two batteries simultaneously for extended runtime. The vacuum also features an iLoop sensor that adjusts the suction power based on the amount of dirt and debris being picked up and LED lights on the cleaning head to help you see in dark areas.

Tineco S11 vs Dyson V11: Differences
After weighing the differences between these two vacuum cleaners, I concluded that Dyson V11 won 3:2 against Tineco S11 thanks to its cleaning performance and innovative features. To learn more details, please read the breakdown below.
Cleaning performance
The winner: Dyson V11
Performance on hard floors
When it comes to cleaning hard floors, the Dyson V11 is the better option. This vacuum is equipped with a powerful motor and a Digital Motorbar cleaning head that is specifically designed to pick up dirt and debris from all types of surfaces. Its motorized brush roll has stiff bristles that can agitate and remove even the toughest dirt and debris. There are gates at the front of the cleaning head, which allow the user to adjust manually to optimize cleaning performance.
As a result, the V11 was able to pick up all kinds of particles in my test, including flour, sugar, rice, cat litter, breakfast cereals, and even full-size Froot Loops.
Meanwhile, the cleaning head of the Tineco S11 is not a really good choice for hard floors. This floor head is not only low to the ground but also has very small front gates, which makes it unable to pick up almost anything of significant size on hard floors. Actually, my tests show that this machine is okay to pick up fine debris like flour and sugar, but with larger objects, it’s pretty hard for the vacuum to deal with.
Performance on carpet
The Dyson V11 Torque Drive and Tineco Pure One S11 are both powerful cordless stick vacuums that excel at cleaning carpets.
In fact, the Digital Motorbar cleaning head of the Dyson does a great job on both hard floors and carpets. It features a stiffed bristle brush roll that can dig deeper into the carpet and pull out more dirt and debris every pass, including pet hair and dirt. According to my experience, this machine can go well with low- and high-pile carpets.
The Tineco S11 is also an ideal option for carpeting. Unlike when on hard floors, this machine can pick up all types and sizes of debris on my cleaning carpet tests with no problems. It also can deep clean carpets so well, specifically clean low- and medium-pile carpets.
Pet hair performance
Both the Dyson V11 and the Tineco S11 are good at picking up pet hair. However, the V11 would be a better choice for pet owners.
That’s because the Dyson V11’s cleaning head is equipped with a series of vanes that act like a comb to clean hair from the brush roll. Additionally, the V11 also comes with a hair screw tool, which uses an anti-tangle conical brush bar to remove pet hair. This is a motorized tool that is specially designed for small spaces.
Meanwhile, the Tineco S11 does not have an anti-tangle function. Although it is quite good at picking up hair, the brush roll can get clogged with long hair easily. This will be quite troublesome if your home has a lot of furs and long human hair that needs to be handled.
Dirt bin and filtration
The winner: Dyson V11
Dirt bin
Both the Dyson V11 and the Tineco S11 are bagless vacuums. Their dirt bins are all easy to empty and clean. These bins are made of clear plastic, so you can tell how full they are at a glance.
The Dyson V11 has a larger dustbin compared to the Tineco S11. The dustbin of the V11 can hold up to 0.77 liters of debris, while the S11 can hold up to 0.6 liters. In general, their dust containers have a fairly large capacity compared to most other stick vacuum cleaners. This allows the user to vacuum without emptying the bin frequently.
The dustbin design of the two vacuums is also different. The Dyson V11 has a point-and-shoot mechanism that allows you to empty the dustbin in one smooth action easily. Meanwhile, the Tineco S11 features a that releases the bottom of the dustbin for easy emptying.
Filtration
The Dyson V11 Torque Drive comes with a whole-machine filtration system that captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, such as dust, bacteria, mold, pet dander, etc. This filtration system includes a fully-sealed system that ensures that the air that is expelled is cleaner than the air that was sucked in. Dyson doesn’t mention whether this filtration system meets the HEPA standard, but from my personal experience, this system works pretty well.
The Tineco Pure One S11 features a four-stage sealed HEPA filtration system that captures up to 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. This system includes a pre-filter, a mesh filter, a HEPA filter, and a cyclone system. The pre-filter captures large particles, while the cyclonic filter captures smaller particles. The HEPA filter captures even smaller particles, and the high-efficiency filter captures the smallest particles, including viruses and bacteria.
Thus, it can be seen that the filtration system of the two machines is suitable for people with allergies or respiratory problems. Besides, their filters are washable and reusable, which will save you money on replacements.
Design and convenience
The winner: Tineco S11
Maneuverability
Both the Dyson V11 Torque Drive and the Tineco Pure One S11 are cordless and lightweight, making them easy to move around while cleaning.
The Dyson V11 weighs around 6.68 pounds, while the Tineco S11 weighs around 5.78 pounds. Therefore, the S11 is lighter than the V11, making it more comfortable to use for longer cleaning sessions or for cleaning areas requiring more movement.
The weight of the handle of the Tineco S11 is about average but much less than the Dyson V11’s handle. The S11’s handle has a more compact design which makes it easier to use as a handheld vacuum.
You can use these two machines as handheld vacuums. Each vacuum comes with a range of accessories, which are designed to help you clean various surfaces and hard-to-reach areas. Also, their cleaning heads are swivel which allows them to navigate around furniture and tight spaces easily.
Storage
The Dyson V11 comes with a wall-mounted charging dock, which can be used to store the vacuum and charge its battery at the same time.
The Tineco S11 also features a wall-mounted charging dock, allowing you to store the vacuum and charge it at once. The docking station can be used to charge two batteries and also store three extra tools.
If you don’t want to use the docking station, you can still store these two machines in small corners of the house because they are both relatively compact in size. In addition, the vacuum can be disassembled and stored in its separate parts for convenient storage in a closet or utility room.
Noise level
The Tineco S11 is generally quieter than the Dyson V11 Torque Drive. The Tineco S11 has a maximum noise level of around 71 decibels, which is relatively quiet for a vacuum cleaner. On the other hand, the Dyson V11 has a maximum noise level of around 78 decibels. These are specifications that I have measured, so they are for reference only.
The Tineco S11’s noise level of 71 decibels is comparable to the sound level of a normal conversation. In comparison, the Dyson V11’s noise level of 78 decibels is closer to the sound of a blender or a motorcycle.
However, it’s important to note that noise levels can vary depending on the specific setting and mode of the vacuum cleaner. Both the Dyson V11 and the Tineco S11 have different modes and settings that can affect their noise level. Additionally, the noise level may also be affected by the type of flooring and the amount of dirt and debris being picked up by the vacuum cleaner.
Battery life
The winner: Dyson V11
The Dyson V11 Torque Drive and the Tineco S11 both feature removable and rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. However, there are some differences between the batteries of the two machines.
The Dyson V11 has a battery life of up to 60 minutes when using non-motorized cleaning tools and up to 10 minutes on its highest power setting. The battery life of the Tineco S11, on the other hand, is up to 40 minutes on its lowest power setting and up to 8 minutes on its highest power setting.
In terms of charging time, the Dyson V11 Torque Drive takes around 4.5 hours to charge fully, while the Tineco S11 takes around 4 hours to charge fully. Remember that the battery life and charging time of both machines can vary depending on usage and cleaning mode.
Utilities
The winner: Tineco S11
LCD display
The Dyson V11 has an LCD display located near the top of the vacuum’s handle. The screen is easy to read and provides useful information about the vacuum’s performance. It shows the remaining battery life as a percentage, which is helpful in letting you know how much cleaning time you have left before needing to recharge. The display also provides information about the filter, letting you know when it needs to be cleaned or replaced.
In addition to battery and filter information, the LCD display on the Dyson V11 also shows the current cleaning mode. The vacuum has three different cleaning modes (Eco, Auto, and Boost), and the display lets you know which mode you are currently using.
Meanwhile, The Tineco Pure One S11 does not have an LCD display but rather an LED display. The LED display is located near the top of the vacuum’s handle and provides real-time information about the vacuum’s battery life, filter maintenance, suction power, and cleaning mode.
Sensor
Both of these vacuums use sensors to optimize their cleaning performance.
The Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) system is a unique feature of the Dyson V11. The DLS system is designed to automatically adjust the suction power and motor speed of the vacuum depending on the surface being cleaned. This system consists of a sensor located in the cleaning head of the vacuum, which detects the resistance of the surface being cleaned and sends signals to the vacuum’s motor and electronics to adjust the suction power accordingly.
The Tineco Pure One S11 also comes with an iLoop sensor that adjusts the suction power based on the amount of dirt and debris being picked up by the vacuum. This sensor is located in the cleaning head of the vacuum and uses optical sensors to detect the amount of dust and dirt on the surface being cleaned.
These sensors not only optimize cleaning performance but also conserve battery life. By automatically adjusting the suction power based on the amount of dirt and debris, the vacuum can provide effective cleaning while also maximizing the runtime of the battery.
LED lights
The Tineco S11 comes with LED lights on the cleaning head, while the Dyson V11 doesn’t. This feature can be useful for cleaning dark areas or for providing any dirt or debris. The LED lights are located on the front of the cleaning head and provide bright and focused illumination on the surface being cleaned. This can help you see any dirt or debris that might be hiding in the shadows or under furniture, making it easier to clean effectively.
Dual-charging battery system
The Tineco S11 features a dual-charging battery system, allowing you to charge two batteries simultaneously for extended runtime and convenience.
The Tineco S11 comes with two interchangeable batteries, which can be easily removed and replaced as needed. The dual-charging battery system includes a charging dock that can hold both batteries simultaneously and charge them simultaneously, allowing you always to have a spare battery ready to go when you need it.
Great for value
Tie
When it comes to value, the Tineco S11 offers a lot of features and capabilities at a more budget-friendly price point than the Dyson V11. The S11 has a powerful motor that provides strong suction and comes with a variety of accessories and cleaning modes to tackle a wide range of cleaning tasks. The vacuum also has a long battery life, providing up to 40 minutes of runtime, and a LED screen that displays real-time battery life, maintenance reminders, and more.
On the other hand, the Dyson V11 is a premium cordless vacuum cleaner that offers some innovative features and a high level of cleaning performance. The vacuum has a powerful motor that provides strong suction and comes with a range of accessories to tackle different cleaning tasks. The V11 also has a longer battery life than the S11, providing up to 60 minutes of runtime, and features an LCD screen that displays real-time information about battery life, filter maintenance, and cleaning modes.
Overall, the best choice for you will depend on your specific needs and preferences, as well as your budget.
