Tineco Pure One S12 vs Samsung Jet 90: Which one is better overall? The short answer is the first one.
After considering everything, I can affirm that the Tineco Pure ONE S12 is a good value. Although this model comes from a less popular brand, it can compete with various high-end stick vacuums out there thanks to some smart features. In addition, it is lightweight and comes with many useful attachments.
The Samsung Jet 90 is also a great 2-in-1 cordless stick vacuum. For me, the most appealing parts are the soft roller (which is specifically designed for cleaning hard floors) and the Z station (which can stand on its own and charge two batteries at once).

The Tineco Pure One S12 beat the Samsung Jet 90 with two wins and one draw. The S12’s cleaning performance isn’t better than its competitor’s, but it comes out as the overall winner thanks to a great set of accessories and some cutting-edge technologies.

Cleaning Performance And Floorhead
At the maximum power setting, the Tineco Pure One S12 generates a suction power of 150 AW, which is on par with the Dyson V12. Meanwhile, the Samsung Jet 90 maxes out at 200 AW, which is equivalent to the most powerful machines I’ve tested, such as the LG CordZero Kompressor (200 AW) or the Samsung Bespoke Jet (210 AW).
As for the included floorhead, the Pure One S12 comes out of the box with a multi-surface roller called the LED multi-tasker power brush, while the Jet 90 includes two floorheads: a turbo action brush and a soft action brush.
Hard Floor
Without the soft roller, the Pure One S12 didn’t achieve excellent results on my hard floors, but it wasn’t terrible at all. It could easily tackle small to medium debris in the forward pass but pushed a larger amount of debris around because its floorhead didn’t have enough clearance to sweep it. So if cleaning hard floors is your priority, it is highly recommended to spend extra bucks on the Pure One S12 Pro EX, which is equipped with an LED soft-roller power brush.
Not beyond my expectations, the Jet 90 picked up everything, from fine debris to big ones, easily with its soft action brush. If there’s room for improvement, it’s the lack of headlights on the cleaning head, which I consider a must-have for high-end vacuums.
Carpet
One of the main selling points of the Pure One S12 is the ability to adjust its suction automatically. I found this feature to work best on my high-pile carpet. On the low carpet, I had to use the maximum setting to remove everything from the carpet fibers.
With the highest power mode on, the Jet 90 also did a respectful job on my low-pile carpets – almost nothing was left behind. But on the high-pile carpet, it was so strong that it sucked down on my carpet, making pushing the vacuum a bit difficult while it couldn’t pick up large debris – this is a widespread issue for models with such insanely powerful suction. Then I switched to Mid mode, and the issue was solved.
Hair Removal
Both the Tineco Pure One S12 vs Samsung Jet 90 have picked up hair like champs, but the lack of anti-twist technology has taken the shine off their convenience. They had no problems with fur or short hair, but there was a moderate amount of long hair that got stuck in their rollers.
Thankfully, all the brush rolls are easily detached from the cleaning heads for untangling and cleaning. Tineco makes it even easier with the hair-cleaning tool.

The Jet 90 features a telescopic wand that can be adjusted to four length levels. I also saw this telescopic design in the LG CordZero Ultimate and found it useful for reaching high places and for more compact storage.
As mentioned in many other posts, I’m always against drilling into walls, so I prefer Jet 90’s Z station. But it’s not the best self-standing charging station I’ve ever seen. This charging stand can sit freestanding anywhere without being mounted to a wall and provides a safe spot to park the vacuum and store some attachments. It can store only two accessories and provide a slot to charge the second battery, which must be purchased separately since it’s not included.
The whole structure of the Z station is a bit cumbersome and takes up a bit of space, which may be very large for those living in an apartment. I would be perfectly fine with its somewhat bulky design if it could hold all the attachments as the LG CordZero‘s AIO charging station or could charge the vacuum and empty the dust cup at the same time as the Samsung Bespoke Jet‘s clean station.
The Pure One S12, on the other hand, comes with a white plastic wall dock with room for the vacuum, three attachments, and the included spare battery. Although I’m not comfortable with drilling into my walls, I have to admit that it provides a neat and tidy charging/storage solution for the vacuum and accessories. It would be better if the charging station could house the whole attachment set, and I could plug the charger directly into the battery or the vacuum.
Weight And Maneuverability
The Tineco Pure One S12 vs Samsung Jet 90 weigh 6.35 pounds and 6.2 pounds, respectively. I wouldn’t say they’re lightweight, but they’re not the heaviest models I’ve ever touched. I felt their weights were well balanced, and they didn’t tire my hands after a while as some Dyson models did.
Maneuvering these machines is generally easy. I could make sharp turns without any problems, thanks to the rotating head. They can also be reconfigured into handheld vacuums, which are lighter and more portable. With the proper attachments attached, cleaning hard-to-reach areas was a stroll in the park for me.
Regarding the ability to get under furniture, the Jet 90 takes the lead since it can lie completely flat on the ground like the Dyson V15, while the Pure One S12 doesn’t.

As you can see, the battery life of the Tineco Pure One S12 vs Samsung Jet 90 are neck and neck. Their charging stations, as mentioned above, can charge two batteries at once, so having a second battery to increase run time makes sense.
One of the greatest things about the S12 is that it comes with two removable and interchangeable 2500mAh batteries. With two fully charged batteries, the S12’s runtime is more than enough for most users’ needs. As for the Jet 90, you must buy the spare battery separately to double the running time.
Dustbin And Filtration System
Winner: Tie
The Tineco S12 features a 0.6-liter dust cup, which is easily emptied with the push of a button. But due to the position of the pre-filter, I had to give stuck hair and debris a tug to remove everything.
The Jet 90’s dust bin is slightly larger at 0.8 liters, and it would be better if emptying it wasn’t cumbersome. The emptying process was slightly complicated and a bit longer than I expected: I had to detach it from the unit, twist off the microfilter, remove the cyclone cluster, and empty the dustbin into the trash can. Fortunately, Samsung has devised a solution to this: the Clean Station.
Using it is simple: lift up its top lid, detach the 90’s dust bin from the vacuum, and place it on top of the tower, and all the dirt and dust will be sucked down into a single-use bag. Once the bag fills up, typically after two to three emptying cycles, a new dust bag will be required. For those with severe allergies, the Clean Station seems like a nice-to-have addition unit since it prevents dirt and dust from flying around when emptying the dustbin.
Regarding the filtration system, the Jet 90 features a 5-layer filtration system that is claimed to capture up to 99.999% of microdust particles. This system includes cyclone and micro filters, which are washable, and a HEPA filter, which, in my opinion, should not be washed under water. Instead, you should remove all the dust and debris from the HEPA filter as needed.
The Pure One S12’s filtration system includes a pre-filter, which can be regularly cleaned using the pre-filter cleaning tool, and a HEPA filter, which should be washed under running water for at least every three months. It also has a sealed system, making it ideal for people with allergies or asthma.

On/Off Control
As with many other cord-free vacuums, the Tineco S12 has a trigger switch that must be pressed to power the machine. But unlike the Dyson stick vacuums, there is a switch used to lock the trigger into the on position. Hence, I could keep the vacuum working continuously without holding down the trigger. This feature is useful for flecks with weak hands or wearing jewelry, and Dyson engineers should apply it to their models down the line.
The Jet 90, on the other hand, includes some physical buttons. The biggest button in the center is used to turn the vacuum on and off, whereas two smaller buttons on the sides are used to switch between three cleaning modes.
Cleaning Mode
Apart from the auto mode mentioned above, the Tineco S12 gives users more control over the suction generated. Specifically, there’s a slide behind the LED screen, which you can use to fine-tune the suction power to your liking. I haven’t seen this type of suction adjustment before.
The Samsung Jet 90, on the other hand, has three vacuuming settings (Min, Mid, and Max) and one mopping setting (Wet). The wet mode is activated when the machine is attached to a mop attachment (sold separately). Yes, the Jet 90 can be used as a mop, but I found it far from replacing a professional mop.
Display Screen
Like its predecessor, the Tineco Pure One S11, the S12 features a larger circle LED screen that dominates the top. It still has an iLoop dust indicator, a loop that can change color depending on the density of dust and dirt and shows alerts regarding blockage and maintenance. However, it goes one step further with the current suction level and the battery level.
The Jet 90 also features a digital screen that shows the current cleaning mode and some alerts. However, it lacks the estimated remaining battery life – the most important thing for a cord-free vacuum.
