Tineco Pure One S11 vs S10: The Tineco Pure One S11 is essentially a step up from the Pure One S10. The former brings to the table a superior suite of attachments and the added perk of pairing with a smartphone via the Tineco Life app. While there’s a slight divergence in the claimed suction power, this disparity is imperceptible in actual use.

Tineco Pure One S11 Vs S10: Differences

The Tineco Pure One S11 and S10 share many similarities. But the former steps up the game with a greater set of accessories and the ability to pair with a smartphone for enhanced control.

As you can see, what sets the S11 apart from the S10 is the presence of a hair-cleaning tool, a pre-filter cleaning tool, and an extra pre-filter – all of which are missing in the S10.

It is worth noting that the number of attachments you get varies depending on which Tineco Pure One S11 model you opt for. Specifically, the “Spartan” model falls short of a mini power brush and a pre-filter cleaning tool, whereas the “Tango” version has an additional soft roller brush dubbed the LED Soft-Roller Power Brush.

The hair-cleaning tool comes in handy to detangle the roller. My experience demonstrated that both models had no trouble capturing all the hair or fur strewn across both my hardwood floors and carpets. However, they failed to send all the vacuumed hair into their dust cups – a fair amount of longer hair remained on their rollers. This is a typical hiccup for models that lack anti-tangle technology.

Thankfully, extricating the roller from the floorhead is a breeze with just a coin or a flat-headed screwdriver. Once it’s out, all you need is a hair-cleaning tool or a good pair of sharp scissors to remove all the tangled hair.

Now, let’s talk about the pre-filter cleaning tool. As its name implies, this tool is designed to clean the pre-motor filter by leveraging the vacuum’s suction power to blow away all dust and dirt lodged in it. This tool provides a hands-free cleaning experience, saving you from handwashing the pre-filter under the tap, as is the case with the post-filter.

App Connectivity

As mentioned above, one more edge that the S11 holds over the S10 is its ability to pair with a smartphone via the Tineco app, which can be downloaded from the App Store, Google Play, and the Tineco website.

While some may dismiss this feature as superfluous, I find it to be quite a boon in actual use. It showed me the current battery life, filter status, and dustbin condition. Moreover, it gives me more control over the vacuum’s suction beyond the standard “Auto” and “Max” settings. Specifically, it features a slider that allows me to fine-tune the suction to my liking, much akin to how we commonly adjust the brightness on an iPhone.

Tineco Pure One S11 Vs S10: Similarities

Cleaning Performance

The Tineco Pure One S11 vs S10 effortlessly dispatched all fine and small debris but struggled with large and bulky detritus. The multi-tasker power brush’s clearance isn’t high enough to sweep over all the larger debris – this is a familiar problem for models not equipped with a soft roller. If you choose the Pure One S11 Tango, you’ll get an LED soft-roller power brush specifically engineered to effortlessly eliminate debris of all sizes on this type of surface.

However, the tables turned when I tested them on my carpets. They deftly captured all the large debris and the majority of the small ones. Then anything they missed on the initial pass was swiftly picked up on a second pass.

Weight & Maneuverability

Tipping the scales at about 5.7 pounds, the Tineco Pure One S11 vs S10 are lighter than many other models I’ve tested. Maneuvering it around furniture and obstacles is straightforward, thanks to its compact and lightweight design. Although it doesn’t swivel as well as the Dyson V15, the difference is marginal and shouldn’t greatly impact the cleaning experience.

In the handheld configuration, they are noticeably lighter, and I could spend almost an hour cleaning hard-to-reach and overhead areas with one hand without fatigue. However, one drawback is their inability to lie completely flat on surfaces, making it a bit challenging to reach under low-clearance tables.

Battery Life

Both the Tineco Pure One S11 vs S10 boast an uninterrupted runtime of up to 40 minutes when used with a non-powered attachment. I personally tested each model with the main nozzle and obtained the following outcomes.

Tineco Pure One S10Tineco Pure One S11
Minimum battery life≈ 10 mins≈ 11 mins
Maximum battery life≈ 31 mins≈ 29 mins
Charging Time≈ 3.5 hours≈ 3.5 hours

As evident, neither model reached the advertised battery life when used with the Multi-tasker Power Brush. And if you dwell in a generously sized home, relying on a single fully charged battery may not be enough to complete your entire cleaning session.

The silver lining, however, is that they feature removable batteries. So having a spare battery on hand will ensure uninterrupted cleaning without any downtime. Even better, their wall mounts are equipped with a charging slot specifically designed for backup batteries, meaning you can have two batteries charged at the same time

However, it’s important to note that the second battery must be purchased separately since it is not included with the initial purchase of each.

Dustbin & Filtration System

The Tineco Pure One S11 vs S10 shares a 0.6-liter dustbin with a user-friendly emptying mechanism: simply press the release button on the side, and the bottom door will open, allowing all the accumulated dust and dirt to fall into the trash can below. Occasionally, you can wipe it with a damp cloth to keep it clean. It’s important to avoid washing or wetting the dustbin since it houses a dirt sensor called iLoop.

These beasts definitely score brownie points with people with severe allergies thanks to their fully-sealed HEPA filtration systems. A sealed system is a significant advantage for a vacuum, as it prevents unfiltered air from escaping. The filtration system also comprises a pre-motor filter and a post-motor (HEPA) filter.

The pre-filter serves as the first line of defense, meaning it’s the dirtiest place. As a result, it requires more frequent cleaning, ideally after each use. There’s no need to go through the hassle of manually washing it under the tap. Instead, you can insert it into the pre-filter cleaning tool, attach it to the handheld part of the vacuum, install a spare pre-filter, and activate the vacuum to remove all the accumulated dirt. As for the HEPA filter, washing it with water at least every three months is recommended.

Utilities

User Interface

Both models boast high-tech displays that provide alerts for maintenance and cleaning of essential components such as the brush roll, filter, and air channel. Additionally, they include a dirt indicator loop, which visually displays the actual dirt density in a specific area. I found this feature very useful, as it tells me when I should allocate extra time to vacuum a particular area.

Control Method

The final similarity between the Tineco Pure One S11 and S10 is their trigger system. However, unlike Dyson vacuums, these Tineco models go a step further by incorporating a trigger lock feature, allowing you to secure the trigger in place and give your fingers a break during cleaning sessions. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals with weak hands or those wearing jewelry.
