If you are planning to buy a cordless stick vacuum cleaner, do not ignore two bright candidates, Tineco PURE ONE S11 vs Dyson V8. Both of them offer exceptional cleaning performance.
The Dyson V8 is equipped with a powerful digital motor. It delivers strong suction power to effectively tackle both hard floors and carpets. Its versatile cleaning head effortlessly switches between different floor types, while the filtration system captures allergens and ensures cleaner air. Besides, the V8 also offers a variety of attachments, including a mini motorized tool for upholstery and a convenient hygienic dirt ejector for easy emptying. If you’re looking for a powerful vacuum with impressive cleaning performance, you should choose this one.
The Tineco PURE ONE S11 is a feature-packed cordless stick vacuum that offers impressive performance at a more affordable price point. The S11 features a four-stage sealed HEPA filtration system that captures allergens and releases cleaner air. It also boasts a swappable battery design, allowing for extended cleaning sessions by simply replacing the battery. The S11 offers the user many utilties, providing versatility and convenience.

Tineco PURE ONE S11 vs Dyson V8: Differences
After weighing the differences between these two vacuums, I conclude that the Tineco PURE ONE S11 wins 2:1 and ties three against the Dyson V8. To learn more details, please read the breakdown below.
Cleaning performance
The winner: Dyson V8
Performance on hard floors
The Dyson V8 has a great performance on cleaning hard floors. Its Fluffy cleaner head is specially designed for hard floors. This cleaning head is engineered with a soft woven nylon brush roll that is gentle on hard floors, effectively capturing both fine dust particles and larger debris. This is not only good for cleaning hardwood floors, but it’s also good at vacuuming dirt in crevices.
In addition, the V8 also features a Motorbar cleaner head which performs pretty well on both hard floors and carpets. My tests show that this one goes easy with fine and small debris but struggles with larger debris like cereal breakfast.
As for the Tineco PURE ONE S11, this vacuum comes with a LED Multi-tasker Power Brush, which is designed for various surfaces. The plus point of this cleaning head is the LED lights, which illuminate the cleaning path, and allow you to easily see dirt and debris, even in dimly lit areas. The LED lights help to ensure thorough cleaning and visibility in all corners and crevices.
However, in my tests, this vacuum can only pick up fine and small debris. With larger particles like coffee beans, breakfast cereals, and full-size Froot Loops, it’s really hard for the machine to deal with. Also, the cleaning head sometimes leaves scuff masks on occasion. Although those masks will come off, it’s still annoying.
Performance on carpets
The Dyson V8’s Motorbar cleaner head is a specialized cleaning attachment designed for carpets. This one is equipped with a powerful motor that generates strong suction to remove dirt and debris from carpets effectively. The high-powered suction helps to lift embedded dirt and particles, leaving your carpets looking clean and refreshing.
Besides, this cleaner head has stiff nylon bristles that penetrate deep into the carpet pile, agitating and loosening dirt and debris for better suction. The bristles effectively dislodge pet hair, dust, and other particles from the carpet fibers, making it an ideal choice for homes with pets or high-traffic areas.
The Tineco PURE ONE S11’s cleaning head is also a good choice for cleaning low-pile carpets. Personally, I find this vacuum to perform better on carpets than on hard floors. This cleaning head also has a motorized brush roll that agitates the carpet fibers, effectively loosening dirt, dust, and embedded debris. The motorized brush roll helps to lift dirt from the carpet, providing a deeper and more thorough clean.
Pet hair performance
In this aspect, the Dyson V8 has the upper hand since its cleaning head can resist tangles. The Motorbar cleaner head features 43 de-tangling vanes, which act as a comb to automatically clear wrapped hair from the brush bar as you clean. Unless you have to deal with a large amount of hair, nothing will get stuck on the brush roll.
Additionally, the V8 still offers users a hair screw tool. This is a motorized tool that is equipped with an anti-tangle conical brush bar to pick up long hair and pet hair in small spaces.
Meanwhile, the Tineco PURE ONE S11 is fairly great for cleaning pet hair, but lots of hair wrap around the brush roll after each cleaning task. The tangled hair makes the machine immediately get clogged. Luckily the brush roll is easy to detach by just unlocking the roller lock. Then you can remove the tangled hair by hand or with scissors.
Dirt bin and filtration
Tie
Dirt bin
These two vacuum cleaners share the same size of dust container, about 0.5 liters. In my opinion, a 0.5-liter dirt bin is just right for a stick vacuum cleaner. It’s not too small or too large, but I consider it’s enough that you don’t need to empty it too frequently.
These dustbins are all from clear plastic, which allows the user to see the inside at just a glance. They are easy to empty with the one-touch feature. The process is straightforward and can be done in a few simple steps. The bin release button lets you quickly open the bin and empty the contents into a trash bin without making a mess.
Filtration
Both the Dyson V8 and the Tineco PURE ONE S11 feature advanced filtration systems that aim to capture and trap dust, allergens, and other particles. However, there are some differences between their filtration technologies.
The V8 features a whole-machine filtration system, which consists of two filters: a pre-motor filter and a post-motor filter. The post-motor filter is a fully sealed HEPA filter that traps microscopic particles as small as 0.3 microns, including allergens, pollen, and dust mites. The sealed design helps to prevent particles from escaping back into the air during the vacuuming process, making it an excellent choice for people with allergies or respiratory sensitivities.
The Tineco S11 comes with a four-stage sealed HEPA filtration system. This system includes a mesh filter, a pre-filter, a HEPA filter, and a cyclone system. Compared to the Dyson V8’s system, the Tineco PURE ONE S11’s four-stage sealed HEPA filtration system offers more layers of filtration, so this system filters the air more thoroughly.
For the cleaning and maintenance of the filtration system, the Dyson V8 provides the user with washable and reusable filters. You can rinse them under cold water and let them dry for at least 24 hours before putting them back into the vacuum. This convenience will help you save on replacement costs. Meanwhile, the Tineco PURE ONE S11 comes with three filters, but only the HEPA filter is washable.
Battery
The winner: Tineco PURE ONE S11
Battery
The Dyson V8 and the Tineco PURE ONE S11 both use lithium-ion batteries, which are commonly used in cordless vacuum cleaners due to their high energy density and long-lasting performance.
The Dyson V8 offers varying battery runtimes depending on the cleaning mode used. In the regular cleaning mode, it can provide up to 40 minutes of continuous cleaning time without any attachments. On low power with the cleaning head attached, that number drops a little to 33 minutes. When using the motorized cleaning heads on the MAX mode, the battery life is reduced, providing approximately 9 minutes of runtime.
However, you will get more vacuuming time in real life since the Dyson V8 has a trigger-based operation, which means the vacuum only runs when you press and hold the trigger.
With The Tineco PURE ONE S11, in regular mode, it can provide up to 40 minutes of runtime. When using the MAX mode, the battery life is shorter, offering approximately 10 minutes of continuous cleaning time. The vacuum also features a trigger lock function, allowing you to lock the trigger in the on position for continuous cleaning without having to hold it down.
The biggest difference here is that the Tineco PURE ONE S11 comes with a slide-out battery, which is super easy to remove and replace at any time. Meanwhile, you need to use a screwdriver to remove the battery of the Dyson V8.
Battery charger
Both the Dyson V8 and the Tineco Pure One S11 are equipped with a wall-mounted charging dock, which can be used to store and charge the unit at the same time. With the Tineco S11, the docking station has two places, so you can charge it and charge another removable battery at the same time. As a result, you can get double cleaning time without any interruptions midway. However, keep in mind that each Tineco S11 machine only comes with one battery, so if you need to buy more backup batteries, you need to pay more.
In terms of charging time, the Dyson V8’s battery takes about 5 hours to charge fully, while the Tineco S11’s battery takes only about 3.5 hours for that.
Design and convenience

Maneuverability
The Dyson V8 and the Tineco Pure One S11 are all designed to offer maneuverability and ease of use.
First of all, both machines offer cordless operation, allowing for unrestricted movement and maneuverability. You can use these vacuums in many other places without a cord tangling, which is a big plus as a stick cordless vacuum cleaner.
Secondly, they feature swivel steering, which enables smooth and agile navigation around obstacles and tight spaces.
When it comes to their weight and dimensions, the Dyson V8 has a slimmer profile and slightly lighter weight, which may offer a slight advantage in maneuvering under low-clearance furniture. In contrast, the Tineco Pure One S11 may offer enhanced maneuverability with its wider cleaning head, covering a larger surface area with each pass.
In addition, you can use these two machines as a handheld vacuum. They come with a detachable wand that allows you to easily convert it from a stick vacuum to a handheld vacuum. This versatility makes it ideal for cleaning not only floors but also various surfaces, furniture, stairs, and even your car.
Storage
Both the Dyson V8 and the Tineco PURE ONE S11 offer a convenient and space-saving storage solution. They come with a docking station that can be mounted on the wall. The docking station serves as a charging dock for the vacuum, allowing you to store and charge the vacuum simultaneously easily.
The docking station also provides a dedicated space to hold the various attachments and tools, keeping them organized and easily accessible. Simply mount the docking station to a wall surface in a convenient location, and you can neatly store and charge your Dyson V8 when not in use.
Noise level
The noise level of both the Dyson V8 and the Tineco PURE ONE S11 can vary depending on the cleaning mode and the specific task being performed. However, generally speaking, cordless stick vacuums tend to produce less noise compared to traditional upright or canister vacuums.
The Dyson V8 is known for its relatively quiet operation. In normal mode, it produces sound levels of around 63 decibels (dB), which is similar to the sound of a normal conversation. In Max mode, the sound level can increase to around 72.8 dB, which is quite tolerable.
The Tineco PURE ONE S11 also offers a relatively quiet cleaning experience. In Max mode, the sound level can go up to around 68-69 dB, which is quieter than the Dyson V8.
Please note that these noise levels are approximate and can vary based on various factors.
Utilities
The winner: Tineco PURE ONE S11
Smart app
The Tineco Pure One S11 comes with smart app integration, while the Dyson V8 does not. This feature allows you to connect the vacuum to your smartphone via Wi-Fi. Through the app, you can access additional cleaning modes, view real-time performance data, monitor battery life, and receive maintenance reminders. This smart functionality provides a convenient way to control and customize your cleaning experience.
LED display
The Tineco PURE ONE S11 is equipped with an LED display and touch controls on the handle, providing easy access to important information and control settings. Meanwhile, the Dyson V8 only uses a simple control switch. The display shows real-time battery status, selected cleaning mode, and alerts for maintenance or blockages. The touch controls allow for seamless switching between cleaning modes and adjusting settings during use.
ILoop smart sensor
The iLoop Smart Sensor is an intelligent technology on the Tineco PURE ONE S11 that automatically detects the amount of dirt and adjusts the suction power accordingly. It ensures efficient and optimized cleaning by dynamically adjusting the suction power based on the cleaning needs of different surfaces.
This feature helps to prolong battery life and ensures thorough cleaning performance. Additionally, the iLoop Smart Sensor helps to prevent the vacuum from getting clogged by detecting and adjusting the suction power when it senses excessive debris or blockages. This smart sensor technology enhances the overall cleaning experience and helps to maintain optimal performance.
