On the hunt for a budget-friendly cordless stick vacuum? Check out my side-by-side showdown of the Tineco A11 Tango vs S11 Tango – you’ll find it right up your alley!
Both the Tineco A11 Tango and S11 Tango are budget-friendly machines that are lightweight and come with a ton of accessories. But the second one takes the lead with its nifty LED screen and iLoop smart dust sensor, which fine-tunes the suction power according to the detected dust density.

Tineco A11 Tango Vs S11 Tango: Differences
Like two peas in a pod, the Tineco A11 Tango and S11 Tango are strikingly similar. However, the S11 Tango pulls ahead with its fancy display, and the sensor automatically adjusts its suction. Of course, these conveniences require extra bucks.
Utilities
Winner: Tineco S11 Tango
Auto Mode
The number of vacuums I’ve tested that can self-adjust their suction can be counted on the fingers of one hand. For instance, the Dyson V11 is fitted with a dynamic load sensor, allowing it to self-adjust its suction to suit the type of surface best. The Dyson V15 and V12 can fine-tune their suction as well according to the number of dust particles, thanks to an onboard piezo sensor.
Likewise, the S11 Tango has a debris/dust sensor to adjust its power according to dust and debris density, which is also displayed on its LED screen (more on that later). It’s one of the very few mid-range sticks that have this punch.
Display Screen And App Connectivity
The S11 Tango also has an LED screen, which is a widespread feature on high-end models. It shows some alerts regarding congestion and wifi but lacks the most important one – the remaining power of the battery. Fortunately, the smart screen of the Tineco S15, its successor, does show a battery percentage indicator.
App connectivity isn’t a feature I typically see on stick vacuums as well, but it’s just a nice-to-have feature instead of a must-have one. I just want everything to be shown on the screen.
Tineco A11 Tango Vs S11 Tango: Similarities
Cleaning Performance
With the highest power mode enabled, the Tineco A11 Tango vs S11 Tango produce peak suction power of 120 AW and 150 AW, respectively – there is not much of a difference here. Both also come with a soft roller (LED soft-roller power brush) and a regular roller (LED multi-tasker power brush).
On my hard floor, these machines performed equally well with the soft-roller power brush attached and the max setting enabled. They easily picked up almost all the debris, including the fine and large ones, which were inherently difficult to handle. This is an impressive result for these budget-oriented models.
Regarding carpet cleaning, they are on par again. They captured almost everything in the forward pass with their well-designed multi-surface floorheads. The only problem with these cleaning heads was that they couldn’t completely remove all the hair from the roller, requiring a bit of untangling after the test.
Design And Usability
Attachments And Storage

Pre-Filter | Yes | Yes |
Hair Cleaning Tool | Yes | Yes |
Wall-mounted dock | Yes | Yes |
Adaptor | Yes | Yes |
Extra battery | No | No |
Both the Tineco A11 Tango vs S11 Tango share a wall charging station. Installing it is easy, and it needs to be located near an outlet to be able to charge the vacuum when it is placed there.
The charging/storage station only has room for three attachments, so I put the three most used, including the crevice tool, the 2-in-1 dusting brush, and the mini power brush, in there and put the rest in a nearby cabinet.
Drilling into walls is a nightmare for me, and if you’re like me, it is wise to purchase a “Powerhouse.” It is basically an accessory holder that is placed on the ground instead of being attached to the wall – so there are no holes in your lovely wall.
Weight And Maneuverability
Both the Tineco A11 Tango vs S11 Tango are highly portable stick vacuums, weighing 5.4 pounds and 5.7 pounds, respectively. They are among the lightest cord-free vacuums I’ve touched because of their mostly plastic construction.
Their internal circuit boards can be clearly seen through a transparent casing. I’m quite interested in this design because it reminds me of the fictional technologies in the Transformers blockbuster series that once created a global craze. This design is even applicable to their detachable, rechargeable 2500mAh lithium-ion batteries.
Changing directions and maneuvering these machines is a breeze, thanks to the swivel head. They can’t lie quite as flat as the Dyson V15 or Samsung Jet 90, but they get very close.
These machines can be converted into portable vacuums quickly and easily by separating the handheld part from the wand. In this configuration, I could attach various attachments and accessories to clean any hard-to-reach area.
Battery Life
Tineco A11 Tango | Tineco S11 Tango | |
---|---|---|
Battery Life | Min mode: ≈ 34 mins | Auto mode: ≈ 32-48mins |
Max mode: ≈ 8 mins | Highest mode: ≈ 10 mins | |
Charging Time | ≈ 210 mins | ≈ 200 mins |
As mentioned above, both the Tineco A11 Tango vs S11 Tango are powered by 2500mAh lithium-ion batteries, which are detachable and rechargeable. That’s why there isn’t much difference between them regarding battery life and charging time. Each comes with only one removable battery, and you can purchase a spare if you want.
Their charging station can charge two batteries simultaneously, so I didn’t have to charge them alternately as I did with the Dyson vacuums. I consider this a big plus. The slot for the extra battery sits neatly on top of the charging station. It would be better to be able to plug the charger directly into the handheld unit or battery to charge them instead of having to park them at the charging station.
Dust Cup And Filtration System
Tineco A11 Tango vs S11 Tango dust canisters have a maximum capacity of 0.6 liters, and emptying them is easy with the quick-release mechanism. I recommend avoiding holding the dust cup too high above the trash can to avoid the formation of a dust cloud when emptying it.
People with severe allergies certainly know how important a sealed system is to a vacuum. If you are one of them, you should thank Christ because these machines have such a sealed system. Its filtration system includes a pre-filter, which can be washed hands-free using the pre-filter cleaning tool, and a post-filter (HEPA), which should be periodically rinsed under running water. They can be reused numerous times before being replaced by new filters.
Trigger Lock
Having to hold down the trigger to power the vacuum is the approach used in almost all the Dyson stick cord-free vacuums, except the Dyson V12. It really is a double-edged sword since it helps extend the run time, but many users end up with tired fingers/hands/wrists.
Tineco has solved the problem by adding a trigger lock on both the Tineco A11 Tango vs S11 that keeps the vacuum running continuously without holding down the trigger during the entire vacuuming process. Why is this system important? As for non-sealed models, allergens and dust can escape, more or less, before being captured by the filters – this isn’t good for people with asthma and allergies.
