Tineco A11 Master vs Shark Pet Pro – In this comparison, I’ll delve into the features, performance, pros, and cons of these vacuum cleaners to help you make a great decision for your cleaning needs.
As its name suggests, the Shark IZ162H Rocket Pet Pro is specifically designed for pet owners who struggle with the mess their furry companions leave behind every day. This model has a specially designed brush roller that is great at resisting tangles. It is also a good option for budget-oriented people who can’t afford the exorbitant Dyson models.
The Tineco A11 Master doesn’t come with many fancy bells and whistles. But considering its affordable price tag, this one is really a bargain. It’s a lightweight stick vacuum that’s easy to use. Better yet, its cleaning performance is generally very good with its wide range of attachments.

Tineco A11 Master vs Shark Pet Pro: Differences
The Tineco A11 wins 2-1 and has one draw against the Tineco A11 Master. The former features a host of useful attachments, while the latter is ideal for pet owners with its self-cleaning roller. That’s just the tip of the iceberg!

Unlike the Dyson V15‘s wall-mounted docking or the LG Cordzero Ultimate‘s free-standing charging station, the Tineco A11 Master comes with a fancy and low-profile charging base called “Powerhouse.” It can be placed anywhere (as long as it’s near an outlet) and requires no bolting to the wall, making it an attractive option for those who resist drilling into walls.
This Powerhouse holder also has room for the spare battery, meaning it can charge two batteries simultaneously. That’s great, but it’s not a catch-all solution. While it can hold the spare battery, it falls short of keeping all the accessories, necessitating the need for another safe place to stow the rest.
The Shark IZ162H, on the other hand, can even stand on its own thanks to its bendable wand called MultiFlex technology. It’s basically a large hinge on the wand that allows the vacuum to bend over forward or even fold in half, literally. In this “Flex” configuration, this model can stand upright without leaning against a wall or being parked in a charging station. If there’s room for improvement, it has no onboard storage for the included tools.
Weight & Maneuverability
Tipping the scales at a mere 5.4 pounds when fully assembled, the Tineco A11 is very lightweight. It felt like a child’s toy in my grip, and coupled with its swivel head, weaving it around obstacles was a piece of cake. When switching to its handheld form, it was exceptionally compact and lightweight, allowing for extended cleaning sessions without fatiguing my hand/wrist.
The Shark IZ162H is slightly heavier at 7.17 pounds, but maneuvering it was still very easy for me. Carrying it up and down stairs isn’t exactly the Hulk’s job, but it might pose a challenge for senior citizens or those unaccustomed to toting around heavy gear. This one is also noticeably lighter in its portable handheld configuration, but I had to alternate hands a few times during overhead cleaning sessions to keep arm fatigue at bay.
Regarding cleaning under furniture, the Shark IZ162H takes the lead with its MultiFlex wand – it allowed me to squeeze under furniture without crouching too far. This feature is definitely a blessing to the elderly or those grappling with back issues. Meanwhile, the Tineco A11 can’t lie completely flat on the ground, making reaching under low-clearance tables a tight squeeze. Both are equipped with useful LED headlights that make it easier to detect dust and dirt in those dimly lit places.
Battery Life
The Shark Pet Pro is claimed to be able to run continuously for up to 40 minutes, while the Tineco A11 Master has a quoted battery life of 60 minutes. But the reality is that there are many factors that affect how long a vacuum cleaner can run, including the cleaning mode, type of surface, type of accessories, and more. I tested each one with the attached main nozzle and found they could never achieve the advertised battery life.
Tineco A11 Master | Shark IZ162H | |
---|---|---|
Maximum Battery Life | ≈ 31 mins | ≈ 29 mins |
Minimum Battery Life | ≈ 7.5 mins | ≈ 10 mins |
Charging Time | ≈ 3.5 hours | ≈ 3.5 hours |
The battery life of this duo is not impressive, so having two batteries on hand is a necessity, especially for those who reside in large homes. Both use removable batteries, but while the Tineco A11 Master comes out of the box with two batteries, the Shark IZ162H only includes one – the spare one needs to be purchased separately. Another plus of the A11 Master is, as I mentioned before, its Powerhouse holder can charge a pair of batteries simultaneously.
Cleaning Performance
Winner: Shark Pet Pro
Suction Power & Floorhead
At the highest power setting, the Tineco A11 maxes out at 120 air watts (AW). Meanwhile, the official specs for the Shark IZ162H’s suction power in AW are as elusive as a needle in a haystack, but from what I could tell, it seemed to be more powerful than its competitor.
What about the included cleaning heads? The Tineco A11 Master comes with two floorheads: Multifloor Motorized Roller Floorhead and Soft Roller BrushHair: one that works best on carpets and one designed specifically for hard floors. My cleaning tests showed that the A11 Master worked well on all types of surfaces with this pair of floorheads (more on that later).
The Shark IZ162H includes only one multi-surface floorhead, including a roller that is redesigned to prevent tangles from hair and debris. Its roller is armed with yellow rubberized fins instead of bristles or a mixture of rubberized fins and bristles (which can be found on Shark IZ462H‘s DuoClean floorhead).
Hard Floor
Both the Tineco A11 Master vs Shark Pet Pro proved to be quite the workhorses on my hard floor. The Tineco A11, with its specialized soft roller, easily picked up all the debris in its path on the first go. The Shark IZ462H wasn’t to be outdone either, sucking up all the fine and small debris easily, but it did kick a smidge of the larger debris forward. Considering these are mid-range stick vacuums, these are great results.
Carpet
The Tineco A11 also performed excellently on my low-pile carpet, leaving nothing behind after the first pass. However, when it faced the challenge of the high-pile carpet, it left a smidge (around 7%) of fine and small debris in its wake, necessitating a few more passes to pick up the rest.
As for the Shark IZ162H, I was over the moon with the scores it achieved across the board. It practically devoured all the large debris on my carpets easily and left only a tiny fraction of the smaller debris—6% on the high pile and a mere 4% on the low pile.
Hair Test
This is where the Shark Pet Pro really shined. Both easily picked up all the hair and fur on my surfaces, but the Shark IZ162H was better, thanks to its self-cleaning roller. I found that the angled plastic fins on its roller did a good job of detangling wrapped hair on it – only a few long hair strands remained at the end of the test session. The roller is non-removable, but I could remove the base cover to remove the remaining tangled hair.
The Tineco A11, on the other hand, doesn’t have any kind of anti-tangle technology, so it took me a few extra minutes to untangle its roller. Thankfully, the brush roll could be easily detached from the floorhead, making detangling a breeze.
Dustbin & Filtration System
Winner: Tineco A11 Master
The Tineco A11 and Shark Pet Pro dustbins can hold 0.6 and 0.32 liters of debris, respectively. Emptying them was a breeze since I simply needed to push a button or slide a latch, making the process quick and hassle-free. They can also be completely disassembled from the vacuum for a thorough rinsing with water once they get really dirty. Just ensure they are completely dry before putting them back into the machine for use.
The Shark IZ162H has a seal filtration system called “Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology,” which prevents unfiltered air from escaping. This system also includes two pre-motor filters (foam and felt) and one post-motor (HEPA) filter. All of the filters are washable and can be reused many times. Two pre-motor filters should be washed with only water once a month, depending on how often you use the vacuum. Meanwhile, the post-filter must also be washed under the tap at least once a month, depending on your usage.
The Tineco A11, on the other hand, also features a fully-sealed HEPA filtration system with two filters. Instead of rinsing the pre-filter with water, just stick it in the pre-filter cleaning tool, put the spare one into the unit, and then run it to suck out all the dust and dirt. As for the post-motor (HEPA level) filter, just give it a rinse with water.
Utilities & Other Features
Winner: Tie
Both the Tineco A11 Master vs Shark Pet Pro don’t have special features or cutting-edge technologies. You won’t find high-tech screens displaying battery levels on either of them. Instead, there are three LED bars on the battery that indicate the remaining battery life.
Regarding control methods, the Tineco A11 follows in the footsteps of Dyson sticks by employing a trigger mechanism. However, it offers a handy clip that can lock the trigger in place, allowing for continuous vacuuming without the need to hold down the trigger and avoiding hand fatigue. To switch between power modes, just press a button that sits on top of the handheld unit.
The Shark IZ162H uses a slide switch that turns the vacuum on and off and toggles between two surface-type settings: hard floor and carpet. Changing between these settings only changes the roller’s speed instead of the vacuum’s suction. It also has a trigger, like the Tineco A11’s, but is used to activate “Boost” mode, which is useful for tackling stubborn messes. This one doesn’t have a trigger lock feature, but the intermittent use of the Boost mode shouldn’t pose a significant inconvenience.
