Tineco A10 vs A11: The most obvious difference is probably their appearance. The A11 features a transparent outer plastic shell, so I can admire what is underneath its casing, except for the motor. Even their battery has a semi-transparent casing, allowing me to see the cells’ silhouettes inside. But is the Tineco A11 Hero really better than its predecessor?
The short answer is Yes! The suction power of the Tineco A11 is slightly stronger than the Tineco A10, resulting in slightly better overall cleaning performance, but not significantly. The most obvious improvement is that all A11 attachments are equipped with quick-release system, and it comes with two stronger batteries leading to longer battery life.

Tineco A10 Vs A11: Differences
Cleaning Performance
Winner: Tie
Suction Powe And Floorhead
At the highest setting, the Tineco A10 vs A11 produce maximum suction powers of 110 and 120 air watts, respectively. They are far behind the Dyson V15 (240 AW) and most other Dyson cord-free vacuums, except the Dyson V7 (100 AW).
The duo has a multi-surface floorhead with five small LED lights on the front. This floorhead can be used on any surface, but I found it to be better for carpets. The LED headlights make it easy to vacuum under the furniture or in dim areas.
Hard Floor
Both the Tineco A10 vs A11 easily remove the majority of fine dust and small debris (97%-98%) on this type of surface but struggle much more with larger ones, such as cereal and fruit loops. The A11 picked up more large debris than the A10, but both generally tended to push this type of debris around instead of actually sucking it up.
The Tineco A11 Master comes with a dedicated soft roller, which could suck up anything I dropped on my hard floor. But this soft roller can also be purchased separately and is compatible with both the Tineco A10 vs A11.
Carpet
On my carpets, they also did a decent job of collecting small-to-medium debris and picking up large debris easier, but they still couldn’t remove it all, so I just made a few extra sweeps to clean up the rest. The main reason why the machine didn’t do well on carpets is, in my opinion, that their rollers lack stiff bristles. They use a combination of rubber blades and soft bristles instead.
Hair
The Tineco A10 vs A11 have both picked up all the hair on hard floors and carpets with ease, but there was a small amount of hair wrapped around their roller, which is common with vacuums that don’t have anti-tangle technology. That said, if I do this kind of work frequently, cleaning the roller often would be essential.

Attachments And Storage

They generally share a set of attachments. But the Tineco A10’s crevice and combination tools don’t have a quick-release latch. So I had to put more force into attaching and detaching these attachments since they only relied on friction instead of the lock. In the worst-case scenario, some users complained that the tools were too loose to attach to the vacuum and that they frequently fell off when vacuumed.
Fortunately, all of Tineco A11’s tools have a quick-release system to secure everything in place. Removing attachments was also smoother for me since they slide off easily. If you already own the Tineco A10, you can purchase the A11’s attachments to save money.
Regarding storage, the Tineco A10 vs A11 are on par. They come with a “powerhouse” station, which is essentially a large piece of plastic that holds the handheld unit, cleaner head, wand, battery, and attachments. This storage caddy sits on the floor, different from the wall mount that comes with the Tineco A11 Hero + or Tineco A11 Master +. If you don’t mind drilling anything into your wall, you can purchase the wall mount separately for convenient and neat storage.
Weight And Maneuverability
They have a mostly plastic construction, which makes them very lightweight but feel cheap. In stick mode, both the Tineco A10 Vs A11 weigh around 5 lbs, which is very lightweight. Of course, it is very easy to lift and move them around. When reconfigured into semi-handheld vacuums, they weigh less than 3 pounds.
They both have swivel heads, making maneuvering them around furniture and obstacles very easy. My only gripe is that they can’t lie completely flat, which can prevent them from going further under furniture.
Battery Life (With the Floorhead Attached)
Both the Tineco A10 vs A11 share two cleaning modes: low power mode and max power mode, and how long the vacuum lasts between charges depends greatly on the mode used.
Tineco A10 | Tineco A11 | |
---|---|---|
Battery Life | Max: 6 mins | Max: ≈ 7.5 mins |
Min: 20 mins | Min: ≈31 mins | |
Charging Time | ≈ 4.5 hours | ≈ 3.5 hours |
If attached to a non-motorized tool, such as the crevice tool or 2-in-1 dusting brush, these vacuums can run a bit longer.
Undoubtedly, the Tineco A11’s battery life has increased, but not considerably. Either way, you’ll need to continuously use at least two fully charged batteries to get the job done. The “powerhouse” station has a slot for the secondary battery so that both batteries can get charged at the same time.
Dust Cup And Filtration System
Winner: Tie
The A10’s bin has a capacity of 0.4 liters, which is smaller than the A11’s 0.6-liters dust cup. They share the emptying mechanism: Press a quick release and rely on gravity to pull out all of the dirt. I don’t like this mechanism since it doesn’t help push the dirt downwards like Dyson models, making it a messy task. The whole dustbin can be detached for a thorough cleaning.
Both the Tineco A10 vs A11 have two filters: a pre-motor and a post-motor (HEPA) filter. The post-motor HEPA filter is something that any quality vacuum cleaner should have since it can trap micro-sized dirt, pet dander, mold spores, dust mites, and more. It is a must-have for anyone suffering from asthma or allergies.
Both filters are washable and need to be completely dry before reusing. The included pre-filter cleaning tool allows for hands-free pre-filter cleaning. There is no recommendation on how often to clean these filters, but it is wise to wash them at least once a month.
The A11 has a large dust cup, but I don’t think the 0.2-liter difference is the deciding factor. So I call this round a tie.
Tineco A10 Vs A11: Similarities
On/Off Control
I was glad that both the Tineco A10 Vs A11 have the trigger lock feature, which has surely been on the wish list for many Dyson stick vac lovers for years. Dyson has never implemented this since they think releasing the on/off trigger from time to time will help extend the vacuum’s battery life. This is true, more or less, but holding the trigger down for long periods of time will lead to hand/wrist fatigue.
2-in-1 Vacuum
Both are 2-in-1 vacuums, meaning they can be used as stick vacuums and handheld vacuums. To reconfigure them into handheld units, you have to detach the wand. Attachments can be attached to the end of the handheld unit (or the wand, if you need longer reach).
LED Headlights
There are several LED lights on the nozzle of both, making it more efficient and easier to vacuum under the interior or in poorly lit areas. This is a very important feature, but there are many models, even the expensive ones, that don’t have it, such as the Samsung Jet 90.
