It is difficult to choose the winner between Shark NV352 vs UV725 as they both have a clean design, similar features, reliable performance, etc. I have tested and compared the two models and gave the winning ticket to the Shark UV725 for good reasons.

The Shark UV725 will give you more reach with its 30-foot power cord and maintain good performance at all times. Also, it has LED headlights, which indeed give you an edge regarding cleaning under furniture or in dark places.

The Shark NV360 is also a great option for budget-oriented users. This machine is formidable thanks to its larger dust bin and lighter weight. It is quite similar to the UV725 but works less effectively on bare floors.

Shark UV725 vs NV360: Differences

The Shark UV725 beat the NV360 with a score of 3-2. The first one works well on all surfaces, has a longer power cord, and features LED headlights. Let’s scroll down for more information!

Cleaning Performance

The Winner: Shark UV725.

Vacuum Power

The Shark UV725 has an 800W motor, while the NV360 features a powerful 1200W two-speed motor.

Both deliver exceptional suction power, but the latter will theoretically have stronger suction, which is ideal for deep cleaning.

For general vacuuming, 800W is enough. If you use the NV360, switching to the low-power setting is wise.

Compatible Floor Type

  • Bare Floor Performance ( Laminate, Hardwood, Tiles)

The Shark UV725 has excellent performance on bare floors. It easily picks up minor debris, such as rice, or larger debris, like cereal. One of the things that impressed me was its cleaning performance remains consistent as its dirt bin fills, which is great if you have to deal with several large messes. But I noticed that some minor debris sometimes gets stuck underneath its floorhead, and its brushroll can scatter a small amount of debris and dust around.

The Shark NV360 does a decent job of vacuuming bare floors. It can suck up most small debris, such as rice, without an issue. Yet, it sometimes struggles with pet hair and bulkier debris like cereal because its head may pass over them rather than sucking it up. Bulky debris can also get caught on the brushroll if you use it. The good news is that its suction performance remains consistent as its dirt compartment fills up.

  • Low-Pile Carpet

The Shark NV360 does a fantastic job on high-pile carpets

The Shark UV725 does a great job on low-pile carpets. It can clean large and fine debris, such as baking soda and sand, without arduous. Its vacuuming performance remains consistent as its dirt bin fills.

The Shark NV360 also does a fantastic job on high-pile carpets. It can suck up pet hair without a hassle. It is also effective in picking up most fine debris like baking soda and larger materials like sand, but you sometimes have to make another pass to clean everything.

  • High-Pile Carpet

Both Shark UV725 vs NV360 do a fantastic job of vacuuming low-pile carpets. With these machines, sucking up pet hair will be a stroll in the park for you. They can clean the majority of both larger material, like sand, and fine debris, such as baking soda, without difficulty. That said, sometimes you will have to make an extra pass or even more to fully suck up all debris from the surface.

  • Cars

Both Shark UV725 vs NV360 are acceptable options for cleaning cars. They have a ‘Lift-Away’ design, a special feature of Shark vacuums, making it a breeze to reach and clean tight spots inside a car. You can pick up and carry their canisters with one hand and vacuum with their wands.

In addition, they are packaged with a crevice tool that allows you to deal with messes in tight areas easily. Their hoses aren’t too long, so you’ll probably struggle a bit in cleaning some tight spots. In fact, I used an extension cord to vacuum all parts of my car.

  • Workshop

These Shark machines are not made for workshop use. They are incompatible with liquids, and their internals could get damaged if used for cleaning heavy-duty debris, such as metal shavings.

  • Stairs

Both the Shark UV725 vs NV360 are decent for vacuuming stairs. They have a ‘Lift-Away’ design, allowing you to carry their canister bodies separately from their floorheads while cleaning with their wands. Additionally, these gadgets have a built-in carrying handle, making them easier to pick up and carry.

Design and Convenience

The Winner: Tie.

Weight

As the vacuum will often be carried and moved around, considering the weight is essential.

The UV725 is slightly heavier than the NV360 with its 18 lbs weight. A few pounds of added weight can significantly impact the decision, as you’ll have trouble carrying and moving the machine around with the added weight.

The NV360, on the other hand, weighs about 14 lbs, meaning it is approximately 4 lbs lighter than its rival. This difference does impact reality. If you struggle with carrying your vacuum around, you will have a difficult time with the UV725.

The winner here is the NV360. If you are concerned about the weight advantage, it is the way to go.

Power Cord

The power cord length of Shark UV725 vs NV360 is 30 ft and 25 ft, respectively. As we can see, the former has a longer power cord to provide better coverage at home. That way, it is unnecessary to constantly change plugs to clean more areas, making the whole cleaning process less time-consuming. It is especially useful for users who live in big houses.

Utilities

The Winner: Tie.

Headlights

The UV725 features led headlights

Only the UV725 vacuum has LED headlights that can reflect dust, dirt, cobwebs, and other debris during cleaning. This nice-to-have feature enables you to easily reach under furniture and dark places to clean better whatever you need to clean.

Dirt Bin

The large and easy-to-empty dirt tank of the Shark NV360

The NV360 wins in this category thanks to its 1.2-dry-quart dirt bin, which is larger than that of the UV725 (0.9 dry quarts). The larger the dustbin, the less often you empty it.

Shark UV725 vs NV360: Similarities

Materials and Build Quality

These vacuums feel reasonably well-built. They have a mainly plastic construction, while their wands are metal. So they don’t feel especially sturdy, particularly their dirt bins, which feel somewhat fragile. Also, I found that decoupling their canister from their main bodies was a bit difficult.

Filtration System

Another common feature between Shark UV725 vs NV360 is their filtration system, including multiple layers of filtration and a HEPA filter. So these machines are ideal for people with allergies as they can gather and trap fine dust and allergies, ensuring the purest and cleanest air in your home.

Maneuverability

Both the Shark UV725 vs NV360 have mediocre maneuverability. They have rotating heads, making it easier to navigate between obstacles. However, the bulky shape of their floorheads and dirt tanks makes it challenging to vacuum underneath furniture and tight spaces if you don’t use them in the semi-handheld ‘Lift-Away’ configuration.

Because of their somewhat heavy weight, they were a nuisance when I lifted them over electrical cords and other obstructions. Moreover, I noticed that their floorheads can get caught on rug tassels or very carpets, forcing me to turn them off to pull them out.

Warranty

Another important consideration when buying vacuums is the warranty. I tested many models from Shark and found that they all come with a five-year limited warranty period, and the Shark UV725 vs NV360 are no exception. Remember that the warranty doesn’t cover water damage and accessories that are included in the box.
