Shark Rocket Pet Pro vs Tineco A11 Master: These models are viable choices for those constrained by budget limitations. Let’s embark on a detailed comparison to ascertain which one is better.
Undoubtedly, the Tineco A11 Master is a top-tier choice within its pricing category. Equipped with two cleaning heads and a diverse array of attachments, it showcases remarkable versatility, easily tackling various cleaning scenarios. This one further impresses with its lightweight build and effortless maneuverability. However, its lack of anti-tangle technology can be a drawback for pet owners, dampening its overall appeal somewhat.
On the other hand, the Shark Rocket Pet Pro (IZ162H) positions itself as an optimal solution for pet owners, courtesy of its self-cleaning roller. Also, this model has excellent performance on both hard floors and carpets. In addition, I have found that this model has quite a few disadvantages, such as that it’s relatively heavy, comes with few attachments, and houses a smaller dustbin.

Shark Rocket Pet Pro Vs Tineco A11 Master: Differences
The Tineco A11 wins 2-1 and has one draw against the Shark IZ162H. But hold on, there’s more to uncover. Keep reading for all the juicy details.
Design & Usability
Winner: Tineco A11
Attachments & Storage
Shark IZ162H | Tineco A11 Master |
---|---|
Multi-surface brushroll floorhead Upholstery tool Crevice tool Removal Battery (x1) | Multifloor Motorized Roller Floorhead Soft Roller Brushhair Cleaning Tool 2-In-1 Dusting Brush Mini Power Brush Crevice Tool Filter Cleaning Tool & Spare Pre-filter Soft Dusting Brush Flexible Extension Hose Powerhouse Holder Removal Battery (x2) |
A few more challenges with the Shark Rocket Pet Pro (IZ162H) are its lack of a wall mount and its inability to stand upright independently (this model has a standard wand instead of a MultiFlex one), necessitating leaning it against a wall or a like for storage. Further, the two tools can’t be stored on the vacuum’s body to be easily accessible during vacuuming.
The Tineco A11 Master, on the other hand, comes with a sophisticated charging base called the ” Powerhouse” holder. This base obviates the need for wall mounting, a welcome feature for those who shy away from making permanent changes to their walls. Simply place it on any flat surface near a power outlet and you will have a secure and tidy spot to charge your vacuum and store some accessories.
The Powerhouse also has a charging slot for a second battery, enabling simultaneous charging of two batteries for extended usage. Still, it has a limitation: it lacks sufficient space to accommodate all the attachments. Consequently, some accessories must be stored separately, which might be a minor inconvenience for some users.
Weight & Usability
Weighing in at 5.4 pounds when fully assembled, the Tineco A11 is one of the lightest cordless sticks I’ve had the pleasure of testing. Of course, maneuvering it around or carrying it up and down staircases was a piece of cake for me.
On the other hand, the Shark IZ162H weighs over 7 pounds, putting it in the heavyweight class. Oddly enough, pushing this one around wasn’t as much of an uphill battle as I presumed. Yet, when it comes to frequent moving between floors, it could quickly become a Herculean task for seniors or those with limited physical strength.
These machines are 2-in-1 vacuums that can be used as handheld vacuums in addition to the default stick configuration. With the Tineco A11 in my hand, I could reach and clean overhead areas for extended stretches without any hint of hand fatigue. The Shark IZ162H, on the flip side, required me to swap hands periodically to give one a brief respite.
Both machines could go further under furniture, including some low-seated ones, for a thorough cleaning. Better yet, the LED headlight did a great job of helping me detect any lurking dust and dirt in those dimly lit places, making sure nothing was left unattended.
I also tested another Shark IZ162H version that comes with a MultiFlex wand, allowing me to do this task without bending over! That’s a game-changer, especially for those with back problems.
Battery Life
Shark Rocket Pet Pro vs Tineco A11 is claimed to be able to run continuously without interruption for up to 40 and 60 minutes, respectively. But achieving that remarkable battery life requires the vacuum to be operated with a suction-only tool and on the lowest power setting. In practice, this is an uncommon usage since we usually use the floorhead all the time, which, according to my tests, significantly expedited the depletion of the vacuum’s battery, resulting in a shorter run time than claimed.
Shark IZ162H | Tineco A11 Master | |
---|---|---|
Maximum Battery Life | ≈ 29 mins | ≈ 31 mins |
Minimum Battery Life | ≈ 9 mins | ≈ 7.5 mins |
Charging Time | ≈ 3.5 hours | ≈ 3.5 hours |
Depending on your home’s size, a full charge may or may not be enough for you. Luckily, both of these machines are equipped with removable and interchangeable batteries. This feature provides the advantage of potentially doubling the operating time – just replace a depleted battery with a fully charged one, and you’re back in business, thereby ensuring uninterrupted cleaning.
The Tineco A11 Master comes with two batteries. Meanwhile, if you opt for the Shark IZ162H, an additional battery must be purchased separately.
Cleaning Performance
Winner: Shark Rocket Pet Pro
Suction Power & Floorhead
The Tineco A11 Master has a quoted peak suction power of 120 AW. Meanwhile, Shark didn’t provide specific numbers for the IZ162H’s suction power, but my personal experience showed the Shark IZ162H is definitely stronger than its rival.
About the included cleaning heads, the Tineco A11 comes with a pair of nozzles (“Multifloor Motorized Roller Floorhead” and “Soft Roller Brush”), one for hard floors and one for carpets.
On the flip side, the Shark IZ162H includes a unique cleaning head that can work on all types of surfaces. But here’s where it gets even cooler – this bad boy has a self-cleaning roller. Take a closer look; you’ll see it’s equipped with rubber blades instead of typical bristles or a combination of bristles and blades. Shark calls this Dirt Engage technology, which is supposed to be super effective in keeping vacuumed hair from getting tangled up.
Hard Floor
Large Debris | Small Debris | |
---|---|---|
Shark IZ162H | 97% | 100% |
Tineco A11 Master | 100% | 100% |
The Shark IZ162H really impressed me with its performance on this type of surface. It effortlessly sucked up nearly all tiny/small debris and around 97% of larger materials. That’s seriously impressive, especially considering that models without soft rollers usually can’t reach this level of cleaning prowess.
With a dedicated soft roller, it’s no surprise that the Tineco A11 Master passed my test with flying colors – 100% of the total debris, regardless of size, was easily picked up, leaving no trace behind. This one is really a true standout in its class!
Carpet
Large Debris | Small Debris | |
---|---|---|
Shark IZ162H | Low-Pile Carpet: 99% | Low-Pile Carpet: 96% |
High-Pile Carpet: 99% | High-Pile Carpet: 97% | |
Tineco A11 Master | Low-Pile Carpet: 100% | Low-Pile Carpet: 100% |
High-Pile Carpet: 100% | High-Pile Carpet: 93% |
On the low-pile carpet, the Shark IZ162H captured about 99% of the large debris and 96% of the smaller ones on the initial pass, requiring an additional pass to remove the remaining remnants. Likewise, switching to my high-pile carpet, this model left behind only 1% of large debris and 3% of smaller materials. That’s an impressive performance for a budget-friendly stick vacuum.
The Tineco A11 also made me over the moon with its high score across the board. It easily collected all the debris on my low-pile carpet and left behind only about 7% of the smaller debris on the high-pile variant.
Hair Test
This is where the Shark IZ162H really shined, thanks to its excellent anti-tangle capabilities. At the end of the test session, I found a small amount of longer hair left on the roller. That said, the “Dirt Engage” technology wasn’t flawless, but it did its job. Kudos to Shark engineers for delivering a solution that actually works for pet owners.
The Tineco A11, on the other hand, is not equipped with any kind of anti-tangle technology. So I had to put in some extra time and effort to remove the roller and untangle any hair that got trapped. It was a bit of a hassle compared to the Shark IZ162H, but I could get the job done with a little patience.
Dustbin & Filtration System
Winner: Tineco A11
The Shark IZ162H sports a 0.38-liter dustbin, which is noticeably smaller than the Tineco A11’s 0.6-liter dust canister. Let’s be real, a larger dustbin means fewer trips to the trash can, and you won’t have to empty it as often, saving you time and hassle.
Now let’s talk about the filtration system! The Shark Rocket Pet Pro vs Tineco A11 share a fully-sealed HEPA filtration system. Trust me, this is a game-changer, especially for folks with serious allergies. Why? Well, this system ensures that unfiltered air, full of dirt and allergens, is forced to pass through the filters before being released. So all the vacuumed allergens and dirt will never get a chance to sneak back into your home.
The Tineco A11’s filtration system includes a pre-motor filter and a post-motor (HEPA) filter. The pre-filter can be cleaned water-free after each use with the filter cleaning tool, which is designed to use the vacuum’s suction power to suck out all the built-up dust and dirt effortlessly. As for the HEPA post-filter, give it a quick rinse under the tap every three months or so, and you’re good to go. Easy peasy, right?
The Shark IZ162H also uses two pre-motor filters (foam and felt filters) and one HEPA post-filter. All of them are washable and can be reused many times. Regarding cleaning these filters, just rinse them with cold water and allow 24 hours or more for them to dry.
Utilities & Other Features
Winner: Tie
Both the Shark Rocket Pet Pro vs Tineco A11 have no cutting-edge technology or fancy bells and whistles. They also don’t have any high-tech screens. To check out the battery life, I could only rely on the tiny LEDs on the battery.
The Tineco A11, like the Dyson sticks (except the Dyson V12), is equipped with a power trigger. But it does provide an option to lock the trigger in place instead of holding it down all the time – say goodbye to hand fatigue.
The IZ162H features a slide switch for turning the vacuum on/off and switching between two surface-type settings. This only changes the roller’s spin speed while the vacuum’s suction power remains constant. To activate Boost mode, which produces maximum suction, you will need to pull a trigger similar to that of the Tineco A11.
