Shark Rocket Pet Pro vs Shark Navigator Lift-Away Speed: Which One Is Your Best Bet?

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Read more

In the debate between the Shark Rocket Pet Pro vs Shark Navigator Lift-Away Speed, I’ll refer to the ZU560 and IZ163H, respectively. And my better option is the first one.

The Shark ZU560 offers excellent suction thanks to its powerful 1200-watt motor. It is somewhat bulky but not heavy at all. The large dust cup and the lift-away feature also add to its convenience.

The Shark IZ163H is also a great option thanks to its compact and lightweight design. Better yet, it comes with LED headlights, HEPA filters, anti-allergen complete seal technology, and more.

Shark Rocket Pet Pro vs Shark Navigator Lift-Away Speed: Differences

The ZU560 wins 3-1 and ties ones against the IZ163H. It comes with a more powerful motor, has a larger dust cup, and comes with a generous warranty.

Type

Winner: Tie

The ZU560 is an upright vacuum that can also be used as a semi-handheld vacuum thanks to the Lift-Away feature. Meanwhile, the IZ163H is a stick vacuum and can be used in a handheld configuration as well.

The ZU560 is a corded machine, while the IZ163H is a cordless one. I like the second one since it gives me unlimited movement.

The IZ163H can last from 15 to over 40 minutes, and it takes almost 170 minutes to fully charge, so it may not be suitable for a huge house. The ZU560’s range is limited by a 25-foot power cord. This cord is not too long but enough for me to clean large areas without finding an outlet to plug it in repeatedly.

Motor Power

Winner: ZU560

One of the most striking differences between these machines is the motor power, which directly affects their suction strength.

The ZU560 has a powerful 1200-watt motor, which produces excellent suction. Meanwhile, the Shark IZ163H’s suction engine is much more underpowered, at just 181 watts, which makes this machine more economical since it’ll help you save energy over time.

Dimensions And Weight

the zu560 has a large footprint
The ZU560 has a quite large footprint

Winner: IZ163H

This is where the IZ163H shines, thanks to its compact and lightweight design. The IZ163H measures 26.77 x 10.24 x 9.84 inches and weighs 7.94 lbs, while the dimensions and weight of the ZU560 are 45.67 x 12.01 x 11.93 inches and 13.01 lbs, respectively.

So if you’re looking for something that’s not bulky and heavy, the IZ163H is the way to go. But to be frank, the ZU560 is quite a bit lighter for a bulky upright vacuum, and lugging them around won’t be a muscular exercise for you.

Dirtbin Capacity

Winner: ZU560

It is safe to say that the IZ163H’s compact size is both a blessing and a curse. It makes maneuvering easier but sacrifices dust cup capacity. Specifically, the IZ163H’s dirt bin can only hold up to 0.13 gallons of dust and dirt, while the ZU560 has a 0.30-gallon dust cup. For me, the 0.13-gallon cup is too small.

Utilities

Winner: IZ163H

Noise

According to my noise test, the IZ163H and the ZU560, on average, generated 72.1 dB and 76.1dB, respectively

As you can see, the IZ163H is considerably quieter than its rival, and it’s the perfect option for early morning vacuuming. You can also use the ZU560 for this purpose, as long as you vacuum in an enclosed room with partially or entirely closed doors to avoid disturbing others.

LED Headlights

The IZ163H has three LED headlights in the front.  I consider it a useful feature that a good vacuum should have, and I bet you will see eye to eye on this point of view when you have to work in low-light areas. The headlight makes dust and dirt in these areas more visible, so missing them is impossible.

Lift-Away

the handheld configuration of the iz163h
The handheld configuration of the IZ163H

The ZU560, like many of its siblings, features “Lift-Away.” Simply put, it allows you to detach the canister from its floorhead to use it as a semi-handheld vacuum. That way, cleaning hard-to-reach areas is a breeze with its wand.

But I don’t think this feature makes the ZU560 outshine the IZ163H. The IZ163H is inherently very compact and lightweight, not to mention it can be used in a handheld configuration.

Warranty

Winner: ZU560

Both the ZU560 and IZ163H carry a 5-year limited warranty. It is worth mentioning that the ZU560 is dramatically cheaper than the IZ163H, so I believe this warranty is the icing on the cake of the first one.

Shark Rocket Pet Pro vs Shark Navigator Lift-Away Speed: Similarities

Filters

With HEPA filters, these vacuums do an excellent job of capturing almost all dirt and allergens and a good amount of airborne particles. Combined with the anti-allergen complete seal technology, these machines ensure that what comes out of them is nothing but fresh and clean air.

Included Tools

Since both machines are from the same brand, their included tools are somewhat the same:
