In the debate between the Shark Rocket Pet Pro vs Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe, I’ll refer to the IZ163H and the NV360. So which one is better?
The Shark NV360 is the overall winner. While it’s significantly cheaper than the IZ163H, it has many features that its competitor doesn’t. It is pretty bulky but not heavy, and the lift-away feature adds versatility to it.
The Shark IZ163H, on the other hand, is designed with pet hair in mind. This vacuum also has excellent maneuverability because of its compactness and lightness, making it easy to clean under tables or car seats.

Shark Rocket Pet Pro Vs Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe: Differences
The Shark Navigator NV360 wins 2-1 and ties one against the Shark NV360 IZ163H Rocket Pet Pro. This first one has a larger dust cup and is equipped with many nifty features. Better yet, it is available at a very affordable price.
Design
Winner: Tie
Design and aesthetics are among the biggest differences between Shark Rocket Vs Shark Navigator.
These robust models come from Shark, one of the big guys in the vacuum industry. They are also bagless models, meaning they are equipped with dust cups instead of dirtbags.
But the Shark Rocket Pet Pro is a stick vacuum and can be used as a handheld machine. Meanwhile, the NV360 is an upright vacuum, and you can use it in a semi-handheld configuration.
Also, the Shark Rocket is a cordless vacuum, while the NV360 is a corded one. Each head has its own pros and cons, but I favor the Shark Rocket because it offers unlimited movement when cleaning.
The Shark Rocket can last for 15 to 42 minutes of continuous operation per full charge, depending on the setting used. However, it takes quite a while to fully charge (up to nearly 3 hours). So keep your fingers crossed that it doesn’t run out of battery while cleaning.
As for the NV360, it has a 25-foot power cord, which I generally consider the average length for an upright vacuum cord. It’s not too long, but enough for me to clean my home without changing outlets too often in the middle.
Dust Cup
Winner: Shark Navigator
The dust container of the Shark IZ163H can hold up to 0.13 gal of dirt, while the NV 360 comes with a 0.29-gallon cup. The NV360, no doubt, completely outshines its competitor this round, thanks to its larger dust cup.
These dust cups are made of clear plastic, allowing you to know how full they are at a glance. Detaching them to empty is also very easy.
Dimensions And Weight
Winner: Shark Rocket
The dimensions of the Shark Rocket Vs Shark Navigator NV360 are 26.77 x 10.24 x 9.84 inches and 45.67 x 11.81 x 11.81 inches, respectively.
The first one is quite compact, but it doesn’t have onboard storage for tools and accessories. Hence, finding a separate place to put them is essential. Meanwhile, the NV360 makes the most of its bulky design by delivering onboard storage for the included tools.
The Shark IZ163H weighs approximately 8 lbs, while the NV360 weighs more than 14 lbs. The Shark NV360 is considerably heavier than its competitor, but moving them isn’t as hard as its competitor. Moreover, it has a rotating head and swivel steering for easy maneuvering.
Utilities
Winner: Shark Navigator
Lift-Away
The NV360 features a “Lift-Away,” which allows you to detach the canister from its main body to use it as a semi-handheld vacuum cleaner. It is convenient for cleaning tight areas or cleaning under chairs and tables. However, it is still quite cumbersome even in this configuration.
The Shark IZ163H doesn’t have this nifty feature, but it’s not a big deal as this machine is quite compact and lightweight. Better yet, you can use it in its handheld configuration by detaching the wand.
Brushroll On/Off
The brush roll is helpful for deep carpet cleaning, but it will scratch bare floors. The NV360 has a Brushroll On/Off feature, allowing you to easily turn its brush roll off before vacuuming your bare floors to avoid ruining their glossy finish.
LED Headlights
The Shark IZ163H has three LED lights in the front, allowing you to detect dust and dirt in dark and hard-to-reach places as easily as pie. In addition, this feature makes it easy to notice jewelry, coins, or anything else that could harm your vacuum cleaner if sucked in.
Shark Rocket Pet Pro Vs Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe: Similarities
Filter System
Both the Shark Rocket vs Shark Navigator are equipped with Hepa Filtration to capture most dust, dirt, allergens, dander, and more in the air. Moreover, they have anti-allergen complete seal technology to keep them inside the unit.
Their filters are washable and should be washed with lukewarm water periodically. Otherwise, the suction strength can be decreased over time.
Adjustment Settings
The Shark IZ163H has two floor-type settings: one for small area rugs and bare floors (making the brush roll spin slower) and the other for carpets (making the brush roll spin faster). Its power can also be increased by pulling on the trigger, which is near the handle, to activate the “MAX” mode.
As for the Shark NV360, there are two floor-type adjustment settings: “I” for bare floors and “II” for carpets. It has a suction release control, which should be slid open if you feel it is hard to push this vacuum around on rugs or carpeted floors.
Warranty
Based on the ins and outs of Shark’s warranty, these models come with a 5-year limited warranty. But, to be frank, I wish my machines stay problem-free for a long time even if they are covered by such a generous warranty.
