Finding the best vacuum cleaner for your household can be daunting, especially with all the available options. To make the decision easier, I’ve taken a deep dive into two of the most popular models in the Shark vacuum family: the Shark NV360 vs 380. In this guide, I’ll explore the key differences between these two models, helping you select the one that best suits your needs.
The Shark NV360 is a powerful, versatile vacuum cleaner perfect for any household. The brushroll shutoff feature allows you to transition from carpets to bare floors. Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology and HEPA Filter traps 99% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum. In addition, the swivel steering makes maneuvering around furniture and obstacles easy.
The Shark NV380 is the runner-up, but it is still a perfect vacuum cleaner for any home. It offers powerful suction and a variety of features that make it a great choice for any cleaning job. Plus, its HEPA filter traps dust and allergens, making it an ideal choice for allergy sufferers, and Iift-away technology makes it easy to move around stairs or room to room.

Shark NV360 Vs 380: Differences
In this comparison, Shark NV360 will be the leader with a score of 1-0 and ties three times against Shark NV380. It’s really fantastic to review the differences between them, and the main reason NV360 wins is that it’s versatile when using attachments.
Cleaning performance
Ties!
Suction power
When comparing the Shark NV360 and Shark NV380, the suction power is virtually identical. These two models utilize a similar motor and suction system, which provides both models with powerful suction capabilities.
With a strong motor and a good suction system, both models are well-equipped for the task of removing dirt, dust, and other debris from carpets and hard floors. While the NV380 boasts a slightly more powerful motor, this does not necessarily translate into a significantly more powerful suction power. In fact, the difference between the two models is negligible at best.
Compatible floor type
The Shark NV360 is an incredibly versatile vacuum cleaner, capable of handling both hard flooring and carpets with equal effectiveness. It has been noted to pick up approximately 97% of debris on hard floors, leaving only a small amount behind. Likewise, it has been found to perform admirably on carpets, providing a very good level of cleaning.
The Shark NV380 is an effective carpet cleaner. However, it may not be as efficient on tile or other hardwood floors as one would hope, but for me, it’s fine. Despite this, its price point is still quite attractive, making it a great option for those seeking an affordable cleaning solution.
Pet hair performance
After conducting my tests, I could compare the efficacy of two models of vacuum cleaners: the Shark NV380 and the Shark NV360.
The NV380 proved extremely effective at collecting dog hair from small area rugs; I was amazed by how much it collected.
On the other hand, the Shark NV360 was less suitable for cleaning up hair; due to the long hair of one of my dogs, I had to periodically stop vacuuming the floor to pull or cut the hair out of the brush roll. Removing the hair from the brush roll would become increasingly difficult if I did not do this regularly.
Design and convenience
Ties!
The NV380 is a heavier model at 14.42 pounds but has a larger overall size of 9.06 x 11.40 x 45.28 inches. On the other hand, the NV360 is a more lightweight option at 13 pounds but is slightly smaller at 14.37 x 11.61 x 26.77 inches.
In terms of performance, the larger size and weight of the Shark NV380 may indicate that it has a more powerful motor and suction capabilities, which could make it a better choice for heavy-duty cleaning tasks. However, the smaller size and lighter weight of the Shark NV360 may make it more convenient and easier to maneuver around tight spaces and furniture.
Utility
The winner: Shark NV360
The ability to store attachments onboard in some vacuum cleaners is a very useful feature. It allows you to easily access the tools you need for different cleaning tasks without having to search through a separate storage area or carry them around.
In this case, the Shark NV380 is the better choice because it has the ability to store 2 tools onboard and easily attach them for use. This is very convenient and can save you time and hassle when cleaning.
On the other hand, the Shark NV360 does not have this feature in its refurbished version. Unfortunately, this means you will have to find a separate place to store your attachments, which can be frustrating and make it harder to access them when needed.
Value for money
Ties!
The Shark NV360 and NV380 are great options for those looking for a powerful and efficient vacuum cleaner.
The Shark NV360 has a powerful motor that can pick up even the most stubborn dirt and debris, and the HEPA filter helps to capture allergens and pet dander. The multi-surface brush roll is also a great feature, allowing the vacuum to work effectively on various surfaces. In my personal experience, the Shark NV360 has proven to be a reliable and efficient cleaning tool.
Also, the Shark NV380 offers great value, with features such as a dustbin indicator that lets you know when it’s time to empty the debris, a detachable hose for hard-to-reach areas, and a crevice tool for tight spaces.
Although there will be some limits when using it, like the lack of an LED headlight or its weight, I am still satisfied with its results, and its price is lower than its rival. But, of course, it depends on your needs and how much money you want to spend on a vacuum cleaner.
Shark NV360 Vs 380: Similarities
The Shark NV360 and Shark NV380 are both upright vacuums that are popular among consumers for their versatility and effectiveness in cleaning various surfaces. You’ll see how the two models compare in this section to help you choose.
Bagless vacuum
The benefit of a bagless vacuum is that it is more environmentally friendly as it does not require the constant purchase and disposal of vacuum bags. It is also more cost-effective as you do not constantly buy bags. Additionally, a bagless vacuum allows for easy debris disposal by emptying the dustbin or canister into the trash.
HEPA filter
The benefit of the HEPA filter in both the Shark NV360 and the NV380 is that it captures and removes 99.97% of dust, allergens, and other particles from the air as it passes through the vacuum. This is especially beneficial for those with allergies or sensitivities, as it helps improve your home’s air quality and reduce the risk of respiratory irritation.
