Both Shark UV650 and NV352 are good vacuum cleaners that meet all standard cleaning tasks. But in the comparison of Shark Navigator UV650 vs NV352, I will choose the UV650 as the winner.
The Shark Navigator UV650 is better as it has bright LED headlights and a longer cord. Though it is quite heavy, it is still lighter than many vacuums on the market. Additionally, its cleaning performance on carpets and bare floors is as efficient as that of the Shark NV352.
The Shark Navigator NV352 is relatively lighter and has very good suctioning. However, its cord is much shorter and does not have any headlights. Apart from that, NV352 offers the brush roll shutoff functionality, sealed HEPA filtration, and a good swivel head, all of which are also equipped on the UV650. For these factors, I decided the Shark NV352 is the runner-up.

Shark Navigator UV650 vs NV352: Differences
The Shark UV650 wins 1-0 against Shark NV352 for its LED headlights. Meanwhile, in the categories of cleaning performance, design and convenience, the UV650 and NV352 tie.
Cleaning performance
Tie!
Suction power and control
Though I haven’t got their suction measured, the cleaning test results indicate that their suction power is similar. Many people agreed with me that the suction of Shark UV650 and Shark NV352 is so strong that sometimes they are hard to push and pull on carpets.
Besides, their suction can be adjusted through the suction collar or slider located below the handheld. In this way, I can easily reduce the suction amount to support the maneuverability and pick-up performance on different carpet types.
Brush roll performance
Between the Shark Navigator UV650 vs NV352, the brush roll design is the same. In other words, they have the same bristle brush roller. Their brush rolls work great on carpets and can be turned off in the Bare/Hard Floor setting. Moreover, when being locked in the upright position, the brush rollers are automatically off, which is beneficial when using the hose.
The ability to shut off the bristle brush roll is essential for cleaning bare and hard floors because the scattering of debris can be reduced, inducing effective picking up. Additionally, this can also reduce the risk of damaging the delicate floor like vinyl plank or real wood, helping enhance the age of your flooring.
However, their brush rolls are not self-cleaning. This means when vacuuming hair (pet and human), the amount of hair getting tangled on the brush roll is considerable. Thus, if you have many pets and they shed a lot, be prepared yourself to frequently clip the hair out of the brush rollers to ensure these vacuums function properly.
Floor-type compatibility
The Shark NV352 and UV650 work excellently on carpets and fairly well on hardwood and bare floors.
Specifically, they can clean the carpet very well, especially on pet hair. Their brush-roll bristles give sufficient agitation and dig deep into the carpet to remove all the embedded dirt and hair. Then all of the loose stuff is effectively sucked in with their powerful suction.
On bare floors, they can pick up different-size debris like coarse and fine sand, fruit loop, and hair. However, though the brush roll is turned off, I still noticed a little scattering, possibly due to the airflow that blew the particles around.
Besides, the hair gets stuck on the brush roll and not sucked into the dirt bin until I turn the rollers on. So, I feel that cleaning the bare floor is somehow cumbersome with Shark NV352 and UV650.
Design & Convenience
Tie!
The noticeable differences between Shark Navigator UV650 vs NV352 in this category are their cord length and weight. The Shark NV352 is a little lighter, with a weight of 12.5 lbs, while the UV650 weighs about 13.8 lbs. On the other hand, the cord length of Shark UV650 is much longer, about 35 ft., while that of the NV352 is just 25 ft.
The lighter vacuum will be easier to maneuver on different surfaces, while the longer cord will be more convenient for cleaning because you don’t need to unplug and replug multiple times in one cleaning session. Besides, these two vacuums feature great swivel heads, allowing them to curve corners effortlessly.
Still, there are some details I don’t like about their design. One is that they are top-heavy, so they easily tip over when I stretch the hose. The other is that their electric cord comes out at the bottom. Therefore, I often step on the cord while cleaning and have to bend all the way down to pick it up when moving furniture. Though they have the cord holder, this thing is just not well functioned as the cord easily falls off.
Utility
Winner: Shark NV650
LED headlights
The LED headlight is what makes the Shark UV650 win this competition. Its bright and direct LED headlights illuminate the hidden dirt on floors, especially in dark areas like crevices and under furniture. In this way, I can see all the dirt that I cannot spot with bare eyes. As a result, the cleaning efficiency is more satisfactory.
Shark Navigator UV650 vs NV352: Similarities
The key similarities between the Shark UV650 vs NV352 are the HEPA filtration, dirt bin capacity, and the lift-away canister.
Particularly, their filtration includes the HEPA post-motor filter and the Anti-Allergen Seal, which effectively keeps micro dust and allergens inside the vacuum. Therefore, these Shark vacuums are suitable choices for people with allergies who often sneeze during the vacuuming time.
Besides, both of them have the same dirt cup capacity, which is about 1.2 quarts. This capacity can be small for many users, but it’s enough for me as long as I empty it after every cleaning. Additionally, their canister can be lifted off and carried on stairs easily. Such portable canisters allow me to effortlessly clean above-floor surfaces with less pressure on my back.
