The Shark IZ363HT vs IZ361H are identical in most respects. They produce good suction but are unsuitable for deep cleaning. Still, I highly recommend them for pet owners since they can pick up hair with no problem and never get clogged, thanks to their PowerFins self-cleaning rollers. Cleaning Performance
The Shark IZ363HT’s cleaning power isn’t ideal for heavy cleaning duty. It only seemed to be strong enough to pick up dust and dirt on my hard floor, and anything larger than that just got pushed around since its head’s height was quite low and could not be adjusted. Likewise, the Shark lZ361H could also pick up all the fine dust on any surface but failed to capture large debris, huge clumps of dirt, or a big ball of fur.
On my carpet, I found that they weren’t strong enough to deep clean carpets. So I believe they are only great for daily cleaning. If you’re looking for something for deep vacuuming periodically, you’ll probably need to look for something else, such as the Dyson V15.
Both the Shark IZ363HT vs IZ361H shone brightly in picking up hair on all surfaces. They don’t use typical rollers. Instead, their rollers have plastic fins (called PowerFins), which do a great job of preventing hair from getting wrapped around the roller. So I didn’t have to spend much time untangling their brush roller.
Another gripe is that a small amount of hair wound around the tiny front wheels after a couple of uses, and I couldn’t completely remove them, even with a sharp pair of scissors. Keep my fingers crossed that this problem won’t make the machine unmovable one day.

Weight And Maneuverability
The Shark IZ363HT weighs around 7.17 pounds, while the IZ361H is heftier at 7.94 pounds, so they are heavier than average for a cordless stick vacuum. For people with arthritis or weak wrists, maneuvering either of these with one hand may be impossible. They are also too top-heavy. So if you have to do something else while vacuuming, you have to put the unit down.
For me, maneuvering these boys is still a breeze. I could easily lay the machine flat and clean under furniture by twisting my wrist. There are several LED bulbs on the floorhead, which helped me not to miss any dust and dirt.

There is no stand or mount for storage and charging purposes. So far, they are okay in the corner I found for them. Another storage option is to detach the canister body and slot it lower on the wand to minimize the vertical footprint. I love how the vacuum can store itself since I didn’t have to ruin my wall to hang it. My only gripe is that there is nowhere to store the included tools, so I just put them in a cabinet nearby.
Battery Life
The battery life is sufficient for a vacuuming cycle lasting from 30 to 40 minutes. Note that the battery takes approximately three hours to get fully charged. While I think a battery life of more than half an hour is enough for most daily cleaning tasks, I still recommend purchasing a spare battery to avoid downtime.
Dust Cup Capacity And Filters
The Shark IZ363HT vs lZ361H share a 0.34-quart dust cup, which isn’t very big, so I had to visit the trash can a few times to empty it. Emptying the dust cup wasn’t an annoying experience for me.
All I had to do was ensure the trash can covered the dustbin and push down a latch. I like this emptying mechanism more than pushing a release button on the bottom of the cup, which makes my fingers prone to stick dirt. But there were times when the button didn’t flip the door open, and I had to help it.
Another thing that these machines have in common is a washable HEPA filter on the inside of the dust canister. Once it is covered with dust and dirt, the machine’s suction will be diminished. So I recommend cleaning it immediately after you get the job done.

The final commonality between the Shark IZ363HT vs IZ361H is the ability to be reconfigured into handheld vacuums. In this configuration, you can easily clean stairs, inside the car, hard-to-reach areas, and more, with the right attachment.

The duo has a three-way switch that is used to enable/disable the vacuum and toggle between two cleaning modes: one for hardwood/small throw rugs and one for high-pile carpets. The only minor minus is that you have to hold the trigger to keep the machine running at its highest suction. Hence, vacuuming for a long time could be tiring on your finger.
