In my experience, between Samsung Jet 70 vs Dyson V15 Detect, the winner is the Dyson V15 Detect, which I consider an ideal option for whole-home deep cleaning.
The Dyson V15 Detect has more powerful suction and greater picking-up efficiency on carpets and bare floors than its rival. Moreover, its cleaner head has a hair-detangling brush roll design, so it addresses the tangled-hair problem perfectly. The laser light on the Dyson V15’s fluffy cleaner head is effective in revealing dust on floors. Its advanced dust sensor allows the vacuum to adjust its suction power for higher cleaning efficiency.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Jet 70 is a lightweight, portable vacuum for basic cleaning tasks. Its suction is good for picking up hair and fine debris. However, it is not ideal for sucking in large things. Its brush roll can easily get hair tangled, but it is easy to remove and get cleaned. Besides, its battery life is not long enough for deep-cleaning large houses but is sufficient for cleaning small homes and stairs at short intervals.

Between Samsung Jet 70 vs Dyson V15, the Dyson V15 wins 2-0 against the Jet 70. It is because the Dyson V15 Detect performs greater cleaning effectiveness and features more advanced utility.

Suction
On paper, the Dyson V15 has a much stronger suction than the Samsung Jet 70. I think the reason for that powerful suction is in the cyclone system. Specifically, although both vacuums have the multi-cyclone system, the Dyson V15 has more cyclones (18 cyclones) to generate force than the Samsung Jet 70 (9 cyclones).
Besides, the technology and motor of each brand contribute to the difference in their suction power. But it is a whole other story related to engineering, which is out of the scope of my reviews.
Both the Samsung Jet 90 and Dyson V15 have 3 modes of suction power, which can be generally divided into 3 levels: minimum, medium, and maximum. The medium level on the Dyson V15 is also called Auto mode, and its maximum suction level is the Boost mode.
Floor-type compatibility
In general, the Dyson V15 and Samsung Jet 70 are compatible with different floor types, including area rugs, low and high carpets, and hardwood, tile, and vinyl floors. However, I see that the Dyson V15 performs more excellent cleaning efficiency than the Jet 70.
Particularly, the Dyson V15’s pick-up efficiency can reach 100% on bare floors and ~99% for deep carpet cleaning. Besides, with large debris like cereals and fruit loops and fine debris like sand and flour, the Dyson V15 can pick up efficiently without any trouble. It is also a great vacuum for pet hairs as it pulls up all embedded hairs in my carpet while the brush roll is still clean.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Jet 70 is good on bare floors and low-pile carpets or rugs, but on thick rugs, it seems difficult to move. For picking pet hairs and small-size debris like sand and grass, the Jet 70 does a good job. Nevertheless, it is not good for picking up bigger things. When I used it to clean up dog kibbles on the floors, it pushed things around rather than sucking them in.
Brushroll system
Besides the strong suction, the design of the cleaner heads and brush rollers of the Dyson V15 contributes significantly to the impressive cleaning efficiency of the Dyson V15. The included cleaner heads of the Dyson V15 are the Laser Fluffy and the De-tangling Digital Motorbar. These cleaner heads are interchangeable to optimize the cleaning performance on different floor types.
The Laser Fluffy cleaner head of the Dyson V15 is specially designed for the bare floor. Its soft brush roller cleans everything on the floor perfectly. Flour, sand, grass, hair, cat litter, dog kibble,… are sucked into the dust bin effectively.
The Digital Motorbar cleaner head, on the other hand, features a bristle brush roller combined with an effective hair-detangling mechanism. With the detangling design, it can address the hair-wrap issue, making it an ideal option for pet owners.
Moreover, this Digital Motorbar cleaner head of the Dyson V15 can be used on both carpeted and hard floors, as it is possible to adjust its nozzle gate. When I need to improve the seal suction on the floors, keeping the gate close is a good option. But when I want it to pick up larger debris, I often get the gate open for higher efficiency.
Meanwhile, the package of the Samsung Jet 70 includes just one cleaner head, the Turbo Action Brush. This turbo brush can work well on carpets and okay on bare floors. As I mentioned, the Jet 70 has difficulty picking up large debris, which can be improved by using the soft brush roller.
The Samsung Jet 70 does not include a soft-brush floorhead, but you can buy this Soft Action Brush floorhead type separately to optimize the cleaning efficiency on bare floors.
However, the brush rollers of the Jet 70 are not self-cleaning. Therefore, they are prone to hair-wrap issues and get jammed easily when not maintained properly.
Dust bin & Filtration

The Dyson V15 Detect and Samsung Jet 70 have the same dust cup capacity, about 0.8 L. Their filtration systems are completely sealed HEPA filtration and can filter about 99.99% of microdust particles (0.3 microns).
Besides, the Dyson V15 Detect has an upgraded version with the HEPA post-motor filter for capturing 99.99% of 0.1-micron dust particles, in addition to its advanced whole-machine filtration. So, if you want to get better filtration, you can check out the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute.
On the other hand, the Samsung Jet 70 has a compatible clean station that can be purchased separately. The benefit of using the clean station is that I can empty the Jet 70’s dust cup without touching the dust content and being exposed to dust clouds, which I really like. The significant con of this clean station is that I have to buy packs of dust bags periodically.

Maneuverability & controls
The Dyson V15 is top-heavier than the Samsung Jet 70. So, I often use the Jet 70 to clean my stairs as it is easier to lift and move. Moreover, they can easily transform from stick vacuums to handheld vacuums with attachments for conveniently cleaning sofas, blinds, and other above-floor surfaces.
Besides, when using the Jet 70, I can easily swap my hands in the middle of the cleaning without having the vacuum stopped. It is because the Jet 70 has a single-touch power button. It means I just touch the power button one time, and the vacuum is on until I turn off the power button.
Unlike the Jet 70, when using the Dyson V15, I have to hold down the power trigger during the whole cleaning for it to vacuum. This sometimes makes my hand tiresome.
Noise level
In my experience, the Jet 70 is slightly quieter than the Dyson V15 in the max mode. However, the tested levels of noise of Dyson V15 and Jet 70 are lower than 80 dB. The fact that the Dyson V15 has a higher noise level is understandable. It is because this vacuum has more powerful suction than many other stick vacuums on the market.
Battery
The Dyson V15 has a longer battery life than the Samsung Jet 70. I have shown the runtime and charging time of each vacuum in the table below.
Apparently, the Jet 70’s battery runtime is significantly shorter than that of the Dyson V15 in three power modes. So, I think the Jet 70 is not a good option for whole-house deep cleaning, especially when your house is large. It is more suitable for daily cleaning with short intervals.

The Dyson V15 has a laser light on the fluffy cleaner head, which is exceptional in spotting dust on bare floors. Meanwhile, the cleaner heads of the Jet 70 do not feature any light, so the Dyson V15 is the winner of this round. With the laser headlight of Dyson V15, the minuscule dust on the floor is readily visible, making cleaning the hard floor far more pleasurable. So, if your home has mostly bare floors, the Dyson V15 is a great vacuum to pick.
Intelligent dust sensor & display
The dust sensor that can calculate the amount and size of dust particles to optimize the solution power, adjust the brush roll action, and give a scientific report on the LCD screen is a unique feature of the Dyson V15. This makes the Dyson V15 stand out in the vacuum market and, yes, better than the Jet 70.
Apart from that, the LCD screen of the Dyson and the LED display of the Samsung Jet 70 all show the runtime countdown corresponding to specific modes. So I can know how much time is left to recharge the battery.

The attachments of the Samsung Jet 70 are a standard set with 3 cleaning tools. Meanwhile, the Dyson V15 offers more attachments for greater cleaning versatility. Therefore, I will choose the Dyson V15 as the winner of this round.
