In the comparison of the Samsung Jet 70 vs 90, I prefer using the Samsung Jet 90 to the Jet 70 though the latter still has adequate cleaning performance.
It is because the Samsung Jet 90 has stronger suction power and more attachments to enhance the pick-up efficiency on different floor types. Additionally, it has longer battery life and comes with a dual charging station, allowing me to charge two batteries at the same time and also store attachments.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Jet 70 performs decent cleaning performance on carpets and bare floors. However, its large-debris pick-up efficiency on bare floors is great, as the floor head pushes things around. Its battery runtime is quite short for cleaning a whole large apartment. However, it is lightweight and has a nice seal HEPA filtration system like the Jet 90. So, it can be a more affordable product if you only need a vacuum for quick clean-up in short intervals.

Samsung Jet 70 Vs 90: Differences
My final evaluation is that the Samsung Jet 90 wins 3-0 against the Jet 70. It is because the Jet 90 is relatively better in cleaning efficiency, convenience, and utility.
Cleaning performance
Winner: Samsung Jet 90
After testing, I realized that the Jet 90 and Jet 70 series offered quite comparable results in terms of overall quick cleaning, despite the difference in suction power. In the pick-up tests on specific floor types, the Jet 90’s performance was relatively better than that of the Jet 70.
The suction power of the Samsung Jet 90 is comparable to that of the latest Samsung Bespoke Jet, which is around 60 cfm measured at the wand. On specifications, the Jet 70 has less suction power, which is 150 AW, compared to the 200 AW of the Jet 90. Though the difference is not too significant, it still has certain effects on the pick-up efficiency of these vacuums.
For more details, I run cleaning tests using these two vacuums with the regular cleaning head of Turbo Action Brush. Their regular brush action brush floor heads work decently on both floor types but still present some minus in the pick-up efficiency. The results can be demonstrated as follows:
Floor types | Performance |
---|---|
Low to medium carpets | Jet 70 and Jet 90 present decent picking up of small debris and pet hair but leave quite a significant amount of fine particles like sugar and powder on the vacuuming track. With larger debris like cereals, they have a little difficulty in picking up, but the result is adequate. |
High carpets | Their pick-up performance in terms of fine debris is improved, but they are hard to push the vacuum, and the brush rollers often get jammed up and stop spinning after a couple of minutes. |
Bare floors | These two vacuums do a great job of collecting pet hair and small debris. However, with large piles of cereals and big debris particles like popcorn, fruit loop, and kibble, the Turbo Action Brush heads struggle to deal with, requiring the use of attachments. |
Final evaluation: The standard turbo brush floorheads of the Samsung Jet 90 and 70 are good for bare floors and low-to-medium carpet thickness when dealing with small debris and pet hair, but not ideal for super tight pile rugs and high shag carpets and collecting large things. |
However, when using the Samsung Jet 90, I can improve the pick-up performance on bare floors by switching to the included soft-brush floorhead. The soft roller allows me to vacuum larger things like the kibbles and piles of cereals with minimum effort. Thus, if your house is mostly covered with hardwood/bare floors, I recommend getting the Jet 90 with the included soft rollers. This is also the reason why I picked the Jet 90 as the better vacuum in this round.
Nonetheless, when the brush rollers of Samsung Jet 90 and Jet 70 do not feature the anti-hair wrap functionality, therefore, they can easily get clogged up by tangled hair. Fortunately, the rollers are easy to detach, making clipping the wrapped hair easier and less daunting.
Design & Convenience
Winner: Samsung Jet 90
In this category, the Samsung Jet 90 is greater than its competitor due to its longer battery runtime. Specifically, the Jet 90 offers a cleaning runtime of max 60 mins, according to the specifications. In fact, the max runtime I can work with the Jet 90 in the Min mode is about 53 mins. Meanwhile, the max runtime of the Jet 70 is about 30-35 mins in the Min mode.
I showed the real estimated runtime corresponding to each power mode of these two vacuums in the following table. You can take a look at it for reference.
Samsung Jet 70 | Samsung Jet 90 | |
---|---|---|
Runtime | Min: ~35 mins Mid: ~15 mins Max: ~ 5 mins | Min: ~53 mins Mid: ~24 mins Max: ~ 7 mins |
Charging time | 3.5 hours | 3.5 hours |
On the other hand, the Samsung Jet 70 is a bit lighter than the Jet 90, but in general, both of them are significantly lightweight and easy to use and maneuver.
Additionally, their noise level is relatively lower than many vacuums in the same price range. The measured noise level is around 65-74 dB, similar to the dishwasher or traffic sounds.
Utility
Winner: Samsung Jet 90
The display and control buttons of the Samsung Jet 90 and Jet 70 are the same. They all feature digital displays showing alerts and selected modes. Besides, their power control buttons are easy to reach and push.
The major difference in this category is in their attachments and storage. I prefer the Samsung Jet 90 because it has more attachments and a self-standing charging station.
The Jet 90 has the Flex Tool useful for versatile cleaning above-floor in different angles and the soft-roller floor head for higher bare-floor cleaning efficiency. Besides, it includes a standing charging station that allows me to store attachments and charge the vacuum without drilling holes in the wall. Moreover, this charging station has an additional charging dock on its base for recharging the second battery at the same time.
The Jet 70 has similar standard accessories to the Jet 90, including the combination tool, the crevice tool, the turbo-roller brush floorhead, and the mini motorized tool. The Jet 70 comes with a single wall-mounted charging dock, meaning that it is possible to charge one battery at a time.
The full attachment sets of Samsung Jet 70 and Jet 90 are shown in the table below.

Samsung Jet 70 Vs 90: Similarities
Dust bin & Filtration
Both the Samsung Jet 90 and Jet 70 have a dust cup capacity of 0.8 liters. This little dust cup is adequate for daily fast clean-up for me. Furthermore, these two vacuums include 5-layer HEPA filtration systems that successfully remove up to 99.99% of microdust for cleaner air.
Furthermore, they are all compatible with the clean station, which enables you to empty the dust cups with a single button press. This dust-cup dumping method is healthier and more convenient, which is beneficial to people with allergies and asthma problems. The recurring expense, however, might be an issue because you must purchase replacement dust bags.
If you want to get a clean station together with the Jet 70 or Jet 90 vacuums, you can purchase the SAMSUNG Jet 70 + CS Bundle or SAMSUNG 90 + CS Bundle.
