When it comes to vacuum cleaners, there are a lot of options to choose from. In this article, I will focus on two popular brands: Samsung and Tineco. Specifically, I will be comparing the Samsung Jet 60 and the Tineco Pure One S11.

With Tineco Pure One S11, one of the most noticeable features of this vacuum is its powerful suction. It also has a good battery life, making it ideal for cleaning large spaces. Additionally, the model comes with a variety of attachments that make it easy to clean different surfaces and hard-to-reach areas.

While the Tineco Pure One S11 is an impressive vacuum, the Samsung Jet 60 is not far behind. While it may not have quite as much suction power as the Tineco model, it still performs very well. Plus, the Samsung Jet 60 has a lightweight design and is easy to maneuver, making it a great choice for those with mobility issues.

Samsung Jet 60 Vs Tineco Pure One S11: Differences

After careful consideration, the Tineco Pure One S11 comes out on top with a score of 3-1 against its competitor, the Samsung Jet 60. This is due to its exceptional suction power, extended battery life, and useful additional features.

Cleaning performance

The winner: Tineco Pure One S11

Suction power

Suction power is one of the most important aspects when purchasing a vacuum cleaner. The Tineco Pure One S11 boasts a 130-watt motor, which is above average. The airflow of this machine is impressive, with a maximum of 47 CFM and a minimum of 27 CFM. The suction of this machine is quite satisfactory, especially in removing dirt and debris from carpets.

On the other hand, the Samsung Jet 60 has a 150-watt motor and employs clog-reducing Jet Cyclone technology, providing consistent and robust suction. In addition, the technology used in this machine keeps dirt and debris from building up on the filter. As a result, this machine truly impressed me with its ability to effectively eliminate dirt and grime from carpets.

Nevertheless, it is too early to conclude the winner in the cleaning performance competition because you need to test it on different floors and see their efficiency in reality. And I’ve done this for you below. Let’s scroll down!

Tineco Pure One S11: Dirt sensor

Suction control

The Samsung Jet 60 has a basic suction control system. You can only adjust the suction power using the + and – buttons on the handle. This can be inconvenient if you need to adjust the suction on the fly, such as when switching between different flooring types.

Additionally, the Samsung Jet 60 does not have any automatic suction adjustment features. This means you’ll need to manually switch between the different power modes depending on how much dirt and debris you’re cleaning up.

The Tineco Pure One S11 has a much more user-friendly suction control system. It has an iLoop dirt sensor that automatically adjusts the suction power based on the amount of dirt and debris it detects. This means that you don’t have to worry about manually changing the suction, and you can be sure you’re always getting the best possible cleaning performance.

Besides, the Pure One S11 has a trigger lock that can hold down the trigger for extended periods of time without having to keep your finger pressed down. This can be helpful if you’re cleaning a large area or have a lot of furniture to move around.

Compatible floor type

I know this section will be the part you’re waiting for. So let’s start with the Samsung Jet 60. When it comes to bare floors, the Jet 60 performs satisfactorily. It easily picks up smaller debris like rice but struggles with bulkier materials such as cereal, even when operating in its most potent ‘MAX’ mode.

On low-pile carpets, the Jet 60 performs respectably and is remarkably efficient in suctioning finer debris like baking soda in its ‘MAX’ power mode. However, larger debris like sand may require an extra pass to collect effectively. On the other hand, the Jet 60 excels on high-pile carpets, achieving excellent results in my tests.

Turning to the Tineco Pure One S11, I found it to perform well on wooden floors when it comes to vacuuming small dirt. All dirt was neatly cleaned without being pushed forward. However, larger debris was a different story. The Pure One S11 tended to push larger dirt out in front of the floor brush, creating a mess that required additional effort to clean up.

Additionally, the floor head of this product was not as adept at picking up hard floors due to its low profile and small gates, making it difficult to collect larger debris efficiently. However, fine debris was no problem. Regarding carpets, the Pure One S11 outperformed the Jet 60, effectively vacuuming large and small dirt on both low-pile and deep-pile carpets.

Pet hair performance

My test shall commence with the Samsung Jet 60. This bad boy does a great job at picking up pet hair, but there’s a catch. You need to ensure you pick up any large tufts of hair before vacuuming, as going over a large pile of hair can cause it to get tightly tangled in the floorhead’s brushroll and wheels. It’s a hassle to clean it all up afterward, trust me. Also, if you’re dealing with cat litter, you’ll need to pass over it twice to cover all the ground.

The relevant issue appears on the Tineco Pure One S11. While it did a decent job at picking up hair, much of it stayed on the brushroll, which required a lot of cleaning after the test. Not ideal for homes with lots of hair (like households with pets, for example). I also found that the hair got stuck on the outside of the vacuum head and then came off when I would go over mats, leaving me with random clumps.

Dirt bin and filtration

The winner: Samsung Jet 60

Dirt cup capacity

A vacuum cleaner with a larger dustbin size can be a huge advantage, especially for those with larger homes or spaces requiring more frequent cleaning. The Samsung Jet 60, for example, has a dustbin capacity of 0.8 liters, which is 0.2 liters larger than the Tineco Pure One S11. This may not sound like much, but it can make a big difference in cleaning efficiency.

Filters

The Tineco Pure One S11 boasts a 4-stage HEPA filtration system that captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, ideal for eliminating fine dust and allergens. However, the filtration system required frequent cleaning to maintain effectiveness.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Jet 60 features a five-layered HEPA filtration system that is fully sealed. This system is incredibly efficient in preventing the release of allergens and fine dust into the air. It seems more effective during testing than the S11’s filtration system. Not only did it require less frequent cleaning, and it was more adept at capturing dust and allergens for cleaner, purer air quality.

Design and convenience

The winner: Tineco Pure One S11

Weight and noise level

The Samsung Jet 60 emits a sound that hovers around 68 dB, while the Tineco Pure One S11 offers a range of noise levels, with the low setting at 60 dB and the max setting at 75 dB.

As someone particularly sensitive to loud noises, I can say that the Tineco Pure One S11’s low setting is noticeably quieter than the Samsung Jet 60. However, when I needed a little extra power, the Tineco’s max setting was louder than the Samsung’s standard sound level.

Moving on to weight, the Samsung Jet 60 is a bit on the hefty side, weighing in at a substantial 5.96 pounds. On the contrary, the Tineco Pure One S11 is much lighter, tipping the scales at a mere 3.53 pounds. I love the lightweight of the latter, especially when I’m lugging around a vacuum during a long cleaning session. Every ounce counts.

Battery

Another important aspect I want to discuss in my comparison is battery life. Although Samsung Jet 60 has a detachable battery, it falls short in running time. On low power, it can only provide nearly 40 minutes of use, and at its maximum, it only gives you 7-10 minutes.

To make matters worse, if you need an extra battery to extend your cleaning session, you must buy it separately. This can be quite a hassle and an added expense. Despite the convenience of having a detachable battery, the Samsung Jet 60’s battery life is quite disappointing.

Tineco Pure One S11, on the contrary, has a 2,500 mAh battery, which is a considerable improvement from the Samsung Jet 60. It also comes with a detachable battery, but like its rival, it only comes with one.

However, if you do happen to have an extra battery, you can extend your cleaning time to about 80 minutes. This is quite impressive and gives the Tineco Pure One S11 a leg up on the Samsung Jet 60. Regarding run time, the Tineco Pure One S11 provides a low of 40 minutes and a maximum of 10.30 minutes,

Storage

With the Samsung Jet 60, I appreciate the flexibility of storing and charging the vacuum with the 2-in-1 Charging Station. The device is designed to be mounted on the wall or used as a stand-alone charger with a removable battery, making it easy to charge your devices on the go.

However, the wall unit’s design is a bit perplexing as the wire is very short, making it difficult to reach the ground without an extension cord. It seems strange to me that the wall charger would have such a short wire, especially given the possibility of wanting to hang it in a closet or other location without easy access to an electrical outlet.

How about Tineco Pure One S11? Its wall mount has a clear advantage as it allows for the separate charging of a spare battery. However, recharging the battery can be somewhat inconvenient if you prefer not to use the wall mount.

The charger cannot be directly attached to either the battery or the handheld unit, meaning that you must either connect the handheld unit to the wall mount or remove the battery from the unit and place it in the wall mount. This process can be a little frustrating as it requires additional steps.

Utility

Smart features

I expected the Samsung Jet 60 would have some smart features like an app or LCD display, but it doesn’t. This was a bit disappointing, but in its price range, it’s still understandable.

The Tineco Pure One S11 stood out to me with its unusual but welcome feature – the Tineco Life app. This app lets you connect your phone to the vacuum over Wi-Fi, which is handy when tracking your cleaning progress. The pairing process is straightforward, and the app itself is responsive and exhibits minimal lag.

In terms of LCD displays, the Tineco Pure One S11’s display adds a fun and satisfying element to cleaning. The display shows dirt detection colors around the perimeter, changing from red to blue as you eliminate the dirt. While some may argue the usefulness of this feature in the long term, I found it to be a great way to keep me motivated during the cleaning process.

Attachment

The Samsung Jet 60 comes with a Jet Fit brush floorhead, a motorized miniature turbo brush pet tool, a crevice tool, and a combination tool. It’s a great choice for those who need a powerful and efficient vacuum for everyday use.

The Tineco Pure One S11 offers a mini power brush, a two-in-one dust brush, and a crevice tool. It’s perfect for those who need a vacuum for pet hair, as it doesn’t get tangled in fur. It also comes with a soft parquet brush, which makes it an ideal choice for those with wooden floors.
