There is no doubt that in the intense battle between the Samsung Jet 60 vs Dyson V15, the Dyson V15 comes out on top. These two cutting-edge vacuums have a lot to offer, but the V15 ultimately takes the lead.
Dyson V15 offers something a little different than other vacuum cleaners in terms of battery life, as well as superior performance on all types of surfaces. Its smart automatic surface detection system changes the suction power based on the surface, making it a powerful cleaner that can be used on a wide range of surfaces.
On the other hand, the Samsung Jet 60 still has its merits. It is a lighter vacuum and operates with less noise, making it a more convenient choice for some users who prioritize ease of use and portability.
Samsung Jet 60 Vs Dyson V15: Comparison Chart
Samsung Jet 60 Vs Dyson V15: Differences
In this comparison between Samsung Jet 60 vs Dyson V15, Dyson V15 won 3-0 and drew once. This is due to the Dyson V15’s better cleaning performance and convenience. Check out the detailed analysis below.
Cleaning performance
The winner: Dyson V15
Suction power
When it comes to suction power, both the Samsung Jet 60 vs Dyson V15 offer a range of settings, but the Dyson V15 takes the lead in terms of overall performance. Air capacity (AW) indicates the total suction power of the vacuum, factoring in the motor, battery, and vacuum design. The higher the air capacity, the stronger the suction.
With its three vacuuming settings (Boost, Auto, and Eco), the V15’s powerful motor generates an impressive 230 AW of suction force. I put it to the test with pet hair, dirt, dry grains, and more, and the vacuum cleaner exceeded my expectations. With just a couple of passes, I managed to clean every surface with ease.
On the other hand, the Samsung Jet 60 provides three vacuuming settings as well (Max, Med, and Low), but its maximum suction power is a bit lower at 150 AW. In this comparison, the Dyson V15’s higher air capacity makes it a more powerful choice for tackling various cleaning challenges.
Compatible floor type
When I put both the Samsung Jet 60 vs Dyson V15 to the test, I cleaned various types of debris, including sugar, grains, and cat food, on three different types of floors to see how well each vacuum performed.
For the Dyson V15, I found that on hardwood floors, it removed an impressive 100% of all four types of debris. When it came to low-pile carpets, the V15 managed to remove 99.4% of the total debris. And on thick carpets, the vacuum picked up 98.8% of the total debris. Overall, the Dyson V15 performed exceptionally well across all floor types.
In contrast, the Samsung Jet 60 had slightly different results. On hard floors, it removed 74.5% of all debris when dealing with grains. On low-pile carpets, the Samsung Jet 60 Pet eliminated 97.5% of debris across all types. And when tested on high carpets, the vacuum managed to remove 99.4% of all types of debris. In contrast, it didn’t perform as consistently as the Dyson V15, but the Samsung Jet 60 still did a commendable job.
After comparing both vacuums, I can say that the Dyson V15 seems to be the more versatile choice for various floor types. However, the Samsung Jet 60 also has its merits and can still provide satisfactory cleaning performance on different surfaces.
Dust bin and Filtration
Tie
The Dyson V15 has a dust cup with a capacity of 0.78 liters. Emptying the V15’s cup is quite simple – just slide the red lever, and all the debris falls straight into the trash bin below. This easy-to-use mechanism makes disposing of dust and dirt a hassle-free task.
On the other hand, the Samsung Jet 60’s dust cup has a slightly larger capacity of 0.8 liters. To empty the Jet 60’s dust bin, you need to unscrew the top cap and then dump the cup’s contents into the trash. While it’s not as convenient as the Dyson V15’s mechanism, it’s still relatively easy to do.
Both the Samsung Jet 60 vs Dyson V15 are equipped with washable HEPA filters, which help to ensure clean air is circulated back into the room. I found that washing the filters once or twice a year is ideal for maintaining their effectiveness and ensuring the best possible use of these vacuum cleaners.
Design and Convenience
The winner: Dyson V15
Battery
As a user who has had experience with both the Samsung Jet 60 vs Dyson V15, I can attest that battery life plays a significant role in determining the convenience and efficiency of a cordless vacuum cleaner.
When it comes to the Dyson V15, I was impressed with its battery life, providing up to 60 minutes of runtime on the lowest setting. This allowed me to clean my entire house without needing to recharge the battery, which was a huge plus for me.
On the other hand, the Samsung Jet 60 fell a bit short in this regard, offering a slightly shorter battery life of around 40 minutes on its lowest setting. While this is still a decent amount of time for most cleaning tasks, I found myself needing to recharge the battery more frequently during extended cleaning sessions.
In my experience, the Dyson V15’s longer battery life made it more convenient and efficient for cleaning larger spaces or tackling more time-consuming tasks. However, if your cleaning needs are less demanding, the Samsung Jet 60’s battery life might be sufficient for your requirements.
Storage
With the Dyson V15, I found the storage solution to be quite convenient. The vacuum comes with a wall-mounted dock that not only charges the device but also keeps it and its accessories neatly organized, making it easy to grab and start cleaning whenever I need to.
On the other hand, the Samsung Jet 60 doesn’t offer a dedicated storage solution. This meant that I had to find a place to store the vacuum and its accessories separately, which could be a bit of a hassle, especially if you have limited space in your home.
In my experience, the Dyson V15’s storage solution made it easier to keep everything organized and ready for use. At the same time, the Samsung Jet 60 required a bit more effort in terms of storage and organization. If having a convenient and tidy storage system is essential to you, the Dyson V15 might be the better option.
Noise level
While using the Dyson V15, I noticed that it operates at a noise level of around 72 dB. It’s not overly loud, but you can definitely hear it working as you clean your home. If you have pets or family members sensitive to noise, they might be a bit bothered by it, but it’s generally tolerable.
On the other hand, I found the Samsung Jet 60 to be a bit quieter, operating at a lower noise level of about 68 dB. It’s not a huge difference, but it’s enough to be noticeable. I appreciated the slightly quieter operation when cleaning around my home, especially during early mornings or late evenings when I didn’t want to disturb others.
Utilities
The winner: Dyson V15
LED headlights
The Dyson V15 boasts a Slim Fluffy Laser cleaning head that is equipped with an illuminated green laser. This feature came in incredibly handy as it revealed hidden dust and debris that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. I was honestly surprised by the amount of dust that was lying on the floor, invisible to the naked eye. The LED headlight made it much easier to spot and clean those areas effectively.
On the contrary, the Samsung Jet 60 does not have this feature. While it’s still a decent vacuum cleaner, I found that the lack of LED headlights made it a bit more challenging to detect and clean those hidden, dusty areas. Consequently, the overall cleaning experience felt less thorough and satisfying compared to the Dyson V15.
LCD Screen
The Dyson V15 comes with an LCD screen that offers a lot of helpful information during cleaning sessions. It displays the current cleaning mode, estimated remaining battery life, maintenance warnings, and even data on the dust particles being vacuumed. Thanks to its Piezo sensor, the V15 can count and classify the particles it picks up into four different size groups. I found this feature quite impressive and useful, as it helps me understand cleaning efficiency and adjust my cleaning strategy if needed.
On the other hand, the Samsung Jet 60 does not have an LCD screen. While this doesn’t necessarily affect the vacuum’s cleaning performance, I did miss the extra information and convenience provided. Without an LCD screen, it’s harder to gauge the Jet 60’s battery life, maintenance needs, or the effectiveness of the cleaning process.
