Roidmi X30 Pro vs Dyson V15: After testing both and considering many aspects, I can decide which one is better, and this one is the former.
If you are looking for a stick vacuum with great all-terrain cleaning performance and plenty of bells and whistles without spending an arm and a leg, the Roidmi X30 Pro is your best bet. While not quite as well known as the Dyson V15, this model still captured my heart thanks to its good performance, impressive specs, great set of attachments, and budget-friendly price tag.
Although the Dyson V15 came out as the runner-up here, it’s always been one of my favorites. Its suction power is unmatched, and its cleaning performance on all surfaces is superb.

Roidmi X30 Pro vs Dyson V15: Differences
The Roidmi X30 Pro wins 2-1 and ties once against the Dyson V15. Where the Roidmi X30 Pro really shone was floor cleaning, mopping abilities, weight, battery life, and special features. On top of these, it’s significantly cheaper than the Dyson V15.
Cleaning Performance
Winner: Tie
Suction Power
The Roidmi X30 Pro generates excellent suction power at 155 AW (maximum), which is greater than its predecessor and many other sticks available in the market. But the Dyson V15 still trumpets the X30 Pro with its insanely strong 230 AW suction. In layman’s terms, the Dyson V15 is more powerful than the Roidmi X30 Pro, but that doesn’t mean the second one has bad performance.
Hardfloor
First of all, it is worth noting that the Dyson V15 comes with two different floorheads: Laser Slim Fluffy and High Torque 2.0 floorheads. They are specially designed for two separate purposes: vacuuming floors and deep cleaning carpets. The High Torque 2.0 floorhead can also essentially be used to clean hard floors, but it won’t give the best results.
On the other hand, the Roidmi X30 Pro comes with a V-shaped roller brush that is suitable for all types of terrain. It won’t damage bare floors but still tackle carpets. So you won’t need to change the roller or the cleaning head. This soft roller is water and stain resistant, as well as removable for easy cleaning.
My testing showed that the X30 Pro’s V-shaped roller performs better on hardwood floors than the Dyson V15’s High Torque 2.0 floorhead. The special design of the first one allowed the vacuum to easily pick up all crumbs and dust particles from the floor surface and even inside crevices without making extra passes. The Dyson V15 also had an excellent performance on this type of surface and left nothing behind after just one pass, but it struggled a bit more with stuff in the crevices.
Moreover, the mopping ability of the Roidmi X30 gives the Dyson V15 a run for its money. It’s essentially a 2-in-1 device that allows me to vacuum and mop at the same time, similar to most robot vacuums. The mop head includes two washable mop pads that rotate at 200 rpm and a 240-ml water tank. I mixed a small amount of the cleaning sanitizer liquid with the water and placed it in the water tank for floor testing. And I found it didn’t work as effectively as an actual mop. Anyway, the mopping feature is just extra functionality.
Carpet
With a High Torque 2.0 cleaning head, the Dyson V15 outperformed on both low- and high-carpet surfaces. The X30 Pro still did the job, but its V-shaped roller seemed to be designed with hard floor cleaning in mind: I had to boost the machine up to the max setting for a deeper clean, but pushing the machine is harder.
Hair Removal
Both the Roidmi X30 Pro vs Dyson V15 were great at reducing and minimizing hair wrap issues. There was a small amount of hair stuck on the Dyson V15’s roller since its motorbar head has anti-hair wrap combs. As for the X30 Pro, I didn’t even notice anything stay on its roller at the end of the day, thanks to its unique design.

Weight And Maneuverability
The Roidmi X30 Pro weighs 2.7 kg, making it the lightest stick vacuum in my collection. It felt lightweight and maneuverable in my hand, and I could make the push-and-pull motion continuously with just one hand for long periods of time with no problems.
The Dyson V15 is significantly heavier than its competitor at 6.8 pounds. But frankly, it was still very lightweight and comfortable to use. Maneuvering it is also easy as pie thanks to the rotating head, which the X30 Pro doesn’t have.
Dimensions And Storage
The Dyson V15 is a bit taller than the Roidmi X30, but that doesn’t make storing the first one difficult. Both should be attached to the charging station when not in use for storage or charging.
The Roidmi X30 Pro doesn’t allow you to store any attachments on board, while the Dyson V15 can hold two attachments (thanks to the wand clip). Better yet, the Dyson V15’s also have room for two other attachments.

As you can see, the Roidmi X30’s run-time is longer than the Dyson V15’s. Moreover, it can charge more quickly, which is another plus point for its usability. So I highly recommend it for larger homes. Their batteries can all be charged separately, so you should buy an extra battery so you always have a fully charged battery for seamless use.
Another plus of the Roidmi X30 Pro is that you can plug the charging cord into the charging port on top of its handle. This basically turns it from a corded vacuum to a cordless one.
Dust Cup Capacity And Filters
Winner: Dyson V15
The X30 Pro’s dust cup has a capacity of 0.55 liters, which I consider quite small. I had to make a few trips to my trash can to empty it since its dust cup was quickly filled. This was a little annoying and time-consuming since my trash is located outside. Fortunately, it was very easy to empty this cup without getting my hands dirty. All I needed to do was press the button on its underside to detach it and push the orange button on its side to empty it.
The Dyson V15 comes with a 0.75-liter dust chamber, which is quite large for a stick vacuum. But I still found myself stopping in the middle to empty it a few times, but that’s okay. It is also made out of clear plastic, allowing me to see how full it is at a glance. As for emptying it, I had to slide a red lever to release the latch, and then gravity pulled everything down.
They are fitted with Hepa-grade filters, which can trap most dirt and allergens. These filters can be taken apart and rinsed out.

LCD/OLED Screen
The Dyson V15 comes with a helpful LCD screen, making it a perfect addition to your smart home. It can give the following information:
- Your selected vacuum mode (Eco, Auto, or Boost).
- Estimated remaining battery life.
- Maintenance alerts.
- Particulate data (Number of vacuumed dust particles that are classified by four sizes).
So, apart from the basics, you can be notified of the precise amount and size (10, 60, 180, and 500 microns) of the dirt particles that are sucked by the machine. An onboard piezo sensor is added to detect particle size and quantity in real-time, making the Dyson V15 ahead of the game here.
On the flip side, the Roidmi X30 Pro is fitted with an OLED screen, which informs you constantly about the estimated remaining battery. The remaining battery life is shown as a percentage, which is more accurate. You will be well aware of the remaining battery, how long it will work, and when to charge the vacuum.
Headlight
The photosensitive headlights of the Roidmi X30 Pro are another excellent feature that can help you detect even the tiniest debris in low-light conditions. The Dyson V15’s Laser Slim Fluffy floorhead is also equipped with a green laser for the same purpose, but its High Torque 2.0 floorhead has no headlight.
Attachments
The Roidmi X30 Pro vs Dyson V15, like most others, comes with a variety of attachments to meet different cleaning requirements. To my mind, the Roidmi X30’s attachment set is superior, but the Dyson V15’s is also great.

You can connect the Roidmi X30 to the Roidmi cleaner app on your smartphone, which displays the current battery life, full charge time, the remaining filter life, the total cleaning time, the total cleaned surface, etc. In addition, you can also make some tweaks, such as turning the abnormal tone on/off, resetting the filter life (once replaced or cleaned), upgrading your vacuum’s firmware, choosing the preferred info on the OLED screen, and more.
