Looking for a powerful and innovative vacuum cleaner? Check out the Vorwerk Kobold Vk200 vs Dyson V11 debate. Both brands are known for their innovative technology and exceptional cleaning power, but which one comes out on top? Judging by their cleaning performance and the technologies they employ, Dyson V11’s cordless model is still superior.
The Dyson V11 has a powerful motor with 14 concentric cyclones, providing superior suction and cleaning performance at 185AW, higher than some corded vacuums. It also boasts a longer battery life with up to 60-minute run time on Eco and has anti-tangle characteristics to deal with hair. The device uses a bagless HEPA filtration system with a complete seal standard as well. If you want an efficient cordless vacuum, this one is worth consideration!
The corded Vorwerk Kobold Vk200 provides unlimited run time and consistent cleaning power on all floor types, from bare floors to low-pile carpets. Its maneuverability is smooth and easy, and its flat floor nozzles allow users to clean under low furniture. This model comes with a bagged filtration system, meaning that users with respiratory issues can protect their health from allergens and pollens. The downside is that the accessories are very expensive!

Kobold Vk200 vs Dyson V11: Differences
Dyson V11 wins 2-1 and ties once against Kobold Vk200. It cleans pet hair better thanks to the anti-tangle brushrolls and the lightweight and portable nature of the cordless design. Conversely, Kobold Vk200 has an unlimited run time and is ideal for larger houses. Let’s explore the beauty of each model!
Cleaning performance
Winner: Dyson V11
Bare floors
On bare floors, both models do a good job. I have been able to remove dust, debris, and hair from this type of surface without struggling. And thanks to their edge-to-edge cleaning ability, I can easily pick up stuff in the corners or the edges of my walls. And, unlike most cheap vacuums on the market, these devices don’t push the debris away when the rollers are engaged. Instead, I can see how the suction brings in the particles on its way.
Large debris can’t stand a chance with Dyson V11’s 185AW and Kobold Vk200’s 44.5 l/s suction. There is a catch here, though. Dyson V11 has quite a low profile, so it takes more effort to clean large debris with its High Torque cleaner head. Users need to slide open the small intake gates so that the large pieces enter easier and push slowly so that the cleaner head can adjust its height.
As for Kobold Vk200, its cleaner head already has a high profile, so I don’t have to maneuver it strategically. The device is well-designed for vacuuming large debris.
Carpets and rugs
They clean the best on low-pile carpets and rugs. This is also the type of fabric material that doesn’t show any mobility difficulty. I can glide the devices over the surface and pick up whatever is on the way.
On high-pile carpets, both devices show some struggle. But Kobold Vk200 is easier to maneuver since it comes with a pair of wheels to assist the swivel steering of the device, despite being a tad awkward at times.
But there is a catch here. Kobold Vk200 is not a great choice for houses with pets or long-hair users. I have checked all its nozzles, from the ones that come with the set to those additional options users can purchase outside the box; none of them has an anti-tangle design. Of course, there is a handheld tool designed for cleaning hair and crumbs in upholstery, but it isn’t anti-tangle.
So, if you want to avoid clogging the system, Dyson V11’s anti-tangle High Torque cleaner head and hair screw tool, alongside the straight-line air current with no curves or corners, will perform beautifully.
Filtration system
Winner: Kobold Vk200
The Dyson V11 features a HEPA filter, which is designed to capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, and pet dander. This level of filtration is considered highly effective at improving indoor air quality, especially for those with allergies or respiratory issues. The Dyson V11’s HEPA filter is washable and reusable, making it a convenient and cost-effective option for those looking to maintain clean indoor air.
On the other hand, the Vorwerk Kobold Vk200 uses a bagged filtration system, which captures dust and debris in a disposable bag rather than a filter. The bagged filtration system of the Vorwerk Kobold Vk200 has some advantages over other systems, including the fact that the bag itself acts as an additional filter. This means the air expelled from the vacuum is often cleaner than other filtration systems.
Additionally, the bagged system can be more convenient for those who don’t want to come into contact with dirt and dust. But, while this can be convenient, it does require purchasing replacement bags. Of course, a bag like this can last up to 3 months. After that, users only need to change the bag when it’s full. So it’s not a frequent thing. One purchase per year should give you enough bags to work with.
Design and convenience
Tie
Cordless
Dyson V11 is a cordless vacuum that is designed to tackle smaller surfaces while offering impeccable portability and convenience. Each time I want to do a full cleanup for my apartment, I charge this model for 4.5 hours and enjoy the maximum run time of 60 minutes on Eco mode. On the boost mode, the run time reaches only 9 minutes, though.
So, in case users intend to employ the highest suction power, the run time isn’t ideal for cleaning even an entire apartment. So, the trick is to know the extent of the space and the suitable suction level. With all that said, a cordless device is very lightweight and easy to maneuver. Dyson V11 also is much easier on the wrist than Kobold Vk200.
Regarding power loss, Dyson V11 does a better job than I expected. I believe it must be due to the special technology that Dyson uses with this product line that impedes suction loss, named “fade-free suction.” The technology helps maintain the same airflow consistency throughout the cleaning time from the beginning to the end.
Corded
Kobold Vk200, on the contrary, is a corded device and provides an unlimited power source. This means the device is better designed for larger spaces like a large apartment or a multi-floor house. And since the power never gets cut off, the suction remains strong during the entire cleaning session.
The problem with Kobold Vk200 and its corded design is the same as any other corded vacuum. The long 32.8 ft can be an advantage or the opposite. The good side is that it allows users to vacuum a large space without having to plug and unplug constantly. The bad side is that plug and unplug is still a thing, and the long cord may go around furniture, requiring users to go and pick each part up.
With that said, Kobold Vk200 weighs only 6.6 pounds on its own and 10.6 pounds or more with accessories. So, it’s considerably lighter than most corded devices.
Utilities
Winner: Dyson V11
The Dyson V11 vacuum cleaner comes equipped with Dynamic Load Sensing technology, designed to automatically adjust the cleaner’s suction power based on the surface being cleaned. The technology works by using a sensor to detect the resistance of the brush bar against the surface being cleaned.
For example, if the brush bar meets more resistance on a thicker carpet, the V11 will automatically increase the suction power to ensure optimal cleaning performance. Conversely, when the brush bar is used on a hard floor with less suction, the V11 will decrease the suction power to conserve battery life.
Kobold VK200 comes with a similar technology. In addition, it is equipped with Ultrasonic Sensors, which adjust the suction power of the cleaner automatically based on the type of flooring being cleaned.
What makes Dyson V11 the winner is the set of accessories that come with it in the box. Users get 2 motorized nozzles (High Torque and hair screw), a combination tool, a stubborn dirt brush, and a crevice tool. As for Kobold VK200, its set contains a motorized nozzle, crevice tool, soft duster, and an upholstery tool. Both are versatile, but Dyson V11’s accessories are clearly more advanced.
