Don’t miss my comparison for Dyson V11 vs Philips 8000, two potent vacuums from the famous brands Dyson and Philips! After putting their design, technologies, and real-life cleaning performance up against each other, I have come to the conclusion that the Dyson V11 is the true winner of the faceoff. It beats Philips 8000 mercilessly!
The Dyson V11 is designed to tackle pet and human hair without struggling, and it is one of the cordless stick vacuums with the strongest suction (185AW) on the market at the moment. At 75dB, this model also ranks high on the list of the quietest vacuums, which is good because I believe most users prefer a less stressful cleaning experience with constant noise. The device also has an impressive set of nozzles, some with an anti-tangle design!
As for Philips 8000, I think its biggest advantage is the 360º-suction nozzle. The airflow comes from all directions and offers better edge cleaning. The device also has a HEPA filter that protects users’ health from dust and allergens. However, its suction is nothing compared to Dyson V11, and I find hair wraps around the brushroll easier.

Dyson V11 vs Philips 8000: Differences
Dyson V11 wins 3-0 and ties once against Philips 8000 thanks to its potent suction power and advanced technologies, including the Dynamic Load Sensor, HEPA filter, and multi-cyclone airflow.
Cleaning performance
Winner: Dyson V11
Dust and debris
Dyson V11 and Philips 8000 don’t struggle cleaning small dust and debris. In general, this isn’t a tough material for vacuums to deal with. So what you can expect from this pair is that they don’t take more than 2 rollovers to lift all the small particles off the floor.
Of course, the size of the debris plays a huge role in how these vacuums perform. The smaller the debris is, the easier for Dyson V11 and Philips 8000 to clean. I can see with my own eyes how the tiny dust grains and cookie crumbs get sucked right in by the potent airflow of this pair.
Regarding larger debris, it’s worth pointing out that Dyson V11 can clean better thanks to its high-torrent airflow, but users must learn how to maneuver the device to get the best out of it. Since the floor nozzle of Dyson V11 can self-adjust to the size of the debris, but slowly, it’s best to push the appliance with ease forward and watch the floor nozzle adjust to the type of debris you are trying to clean.
As for Philips 8000’s higher profile makes maneuvering it over large debris easier. But, unfortunately, it doesn’t compensate for its lack of potency when dealing with heavier types. For example, I can work the model against lighter cereals, but not against heavy cookie crumbs or large flower petals.
Hair
Dyson V11 is obviously the better choice for cleaning pet hair. Why? Because Dyson has developed a series of vacuums with anti-tangle accessories to tackle pet and human hair. The design is actually very simple. All Dyson has to do is add a “hair comb” at the back of the accessories where the brushroll constantly brushes over when it spins. The comb efficiently removes the hair strands without employing any special technology.
Philips 8000, however, doesn’t come with this feature. Its brushrolls aren’t anti-tangle, so it’s expected that they can get clogged with pet hair any time soon. I have to manually remove the hair wrapped around the roller after each cleaning session to make sure there is no clogging.
Also, let’s talk about the run time.
With Philips 8000:
- Eco mode: 70 minutes
- Normal mode: 35 minutes
- Turbo mode: 28 minutes
With Dyson V11:
- Eco mode: 60-70 minutes
- Auto mode: 40 minutes
- Boost mode: 9 minutes
Utilities
Winner: Dyson V11
The Dyson V11 vacuum cleaner features advanced technology: Dynamic Load sensor. The sensor is a pressure sensor that is built into the cleaning head of the Dyson V11. It is designed to detect the resistance on the cleaning head and adjust the suction power accordingly. This means the V11 can automatically adjust the suction power when moving from hard floors to carpets, providing the right amount of suction power for optimal cleaning.
Philips 8000 also has its advantage. The device boasts bright headlights that reveal even the tiniest particles.
Filter and dust cup
Tie
Dyson V11 and Philips 8000 are equipped with a HEPA filter, which is the best type there is.
The Dyson V11 uses a fully sealed filtration system that includes a HEPA filter to capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. In addition, this filter is washable, which means it can be reused multiple times and can last up to a year before needing replacement.
The Philips 8000 series also features a HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, making it effective at removing allergens and pollutants from the air.
From what I know, both HEPA filters are washable, so you should keep up with the cleaning schedule to maintain the top performance for your vacuums.
Price and value
Winner: Dyson V11
Dyson V11, with many more advanced features and a much better price, is obviously the one with the better value and price. However, there is no reason not to choose its 14 concentric cyclones, anti-tangle brushrolls, HEPA filter, and Dynamic Load sensor.
Also, if you want to, you can invest the money you would need to spend on Philips 8000 on an extra battery pack for Dyson V11. This will extend the cleaning time significantly and money well spent!
