Dirt Devil Endura Reach Vs Max: Differences

Dirt Devil Endura Max is the winner in this wonderful competition with an impressive score of 2-0 and ties once against Reach model. It’s mainly due to its versatile and easy maneuverability. You can learn more in the following sections. So, just scroll down now!

Cleaning performance

The winner: Dirt Devil Endura Max

Endura Max: Cleaning performance

Suction power

As a user of both the Dirt Devil Endura Reach and the Dirt Devil Endura Max, I can confidently say that the suction power of the Endura Max is much stronger than the Endura Reach. The Endura Reach, despite its quite good suction power, requires multiple passes over the same spot to clean it properly, which can be quite frustrating and time-consuming.

On the other hand, with its good suction power, the Endura Max requires the user to move it slowly over the spot to pick up dirt and debris effectively. Although this process takes a bit more time, it provides a much better cleaning experience as it can pick up dirt and debris that the Endura Reach misses.

In my opinion, if you’re looking for a vacuum that can provide an effective cleaning experience, the Dirt Devil Endura Max is the better option, as it has stronger suction power and can pick up dirt and debris more effectively.

Brush-roll system

I have noticed a significant difference in their brush-roll system. The Endura Reach has a single-wheel structure, which makes maneuvering it on different terrain challenging. On the other hand, the Endura Max has a double-wheel structure, which allows for better maneuverability and ease of use on different surfaces.

The double-wheel structure of the Endura Max makes it easier to clean carpets, hard floors, and even furniture without worrying about the vacuum getting stuck or being difficult to move. The additional wheel provides extra stability and support, making it easier to clean those hard-to-reach places.

Compatible floor type

When it comes to compatible floor types, the Devil Endura Reach is more suited for hardwood floors and low pile rugs, while the Dirt Devil Endura Max is not as effective on these surfaces. The Endura Reach does a great job on hardwood floors and low-pile rugs but is not recommended for regular carpets.

On the other hand, the Max does not really perform well on carpets or rugs, as it tends to blow out fluff now and then. The vacuum cleaner also struggles with hardwood floors, causing bits to scatter around and making cleaning difficult. I have found it easier to use a microfiber mop or dustpan and brush to clean up the bits before using the hose to suck them up.

Pet hair performance

I have used the Dirt Devil Endura Reach and the Dirt Devil Endura Max, and they both have great pet hair performance. The Endura Reach has good suction that can pick up pet hair with no problem. Occasionally, the brush roll will get clogged with hair, so it must be cleaned out.

The Endura Max is great for handling dog hair, especially my beagle’s wiry hair. Its strong suction and brush roll can easily handle even the most difficult pet hair. Because the Endura Max is designed for pet hair that is more difficult to pick up, I find that it offers a better user experience than its rival.

Cleaning path

Regarding the cleaning path, the Dirt Devil Endura Max has a clear advantage over the Dirt Devil Endura Reach. The Reach has a cleaning path of 11 inches, which can be a bit restrictive for larger spaces.

On the other hand, the Endura Max has a cleaning path of 13 inches, making it easier to clean larger areas in a shorter amount of time. This is especially beneficial for those with larger rooms or open floor plans. In addition, the larger cleaning path of the Endura Max makes it a more efficient vacuum and allows for quicker cleaning times.

Floor-height adjustment

I found that the Dirt Devil Endura Reach and Endura Max vacuums have different floor-height adjustment features. Unfortunately, the Endura Reach has no settings for carpets or hardwoods, and I have to add weight on top to get decent suction on low carpets or hardwood floors. With the Endura Max, however, it has four levels of adjustable height settings, so I can adjust it appropriately depending on which floor type I’m vacuuming.

In my opinion, the adjustable height settings on the Endura Max make it the better choice for user experience. It allows me to ensure I get an appropriate suction level for whatever surface I’m vacuuming. Additionally, it’s more convenient not to add weight as with the Endura Reach. The adjustable height settings of the Endura Max give me the flexibility to adjust my vacuum accordingly, which makes cleaning much more efficient.

Design & Convenience

The winner: Dirt Devil Endura Max

Dirt Tank

The Endura Reach holds 1.5 liters of dirt, while the Endura Max holds 2 liters. The main benefit of having more capacity is that it allows you to vacuum longer without having to stop and empty the bin, thus saving time and effort. The Endura Max offers greater capacity, meaning it’s better for vacuuming larger areas and for longer periods of time.

If you’re looking for a vacuum cleaner perfect for quick clean-ups or smaller spaces, then the Dirt Devil Endura Reach is the way to go. But the Dirt Devil Endura Max is better for you if you have a larger home or are looking for a vacuum cleaner that can handle more floor space without frequent bin emptying.

Maneuverability

The Endura Reach weighs 9 pounds and has a 20-foot cord, while the Endura Max weighs 11 pounds and has a 25-foot cord. The Endura Reach also has a shorter hose at 5 feet, while the Endura Max has a 10-foot hose.

Endura Max has a longer cord and hose, which provides greater reach and versatility in cleaning large areas. The Endura Max’s hose makes it easier to clean hard-to-reach areas, such as high shelves and ceilings. The extra length also makes it possible to clean larger rooms without unplugging and moving the vacuum.

In terms of maneuverability, the Endura Reach is a good option for those who need to navigate around tight spaces and furniture. However, the competitor is better for those who need to clean larger areas and hard-to-reach spaces.

Endura Reach: Attachment

I have tested both vacuum cleaners and have experienced the issue with the attachments. Both models come with a 2-in-1 Dusting and Crevice Tool and an extension wand tool, but the wand tool has a tendency to dislodge from the holder on the right side when moving the vacuum, which can be very annoying. This can cause the wand tool to catch on the rug or floor, making it difficult to maneuver.

In terms of the extension part for cleaning between couch cushions and baseboards, it does not clip in but rather slides in with a somewhat tight fit. Unfortunately, it has a tendency to come out, no matter how gently it is used. This can make it frustrating to clean those hard-to-reach areas effectively.
