Another review is ready! This time, I will put 2 practical stick vacuums, Bosch Unlimited 7 vs Dyson V15, up for comparison. Dyson is a worldwide renowned brand with advanced technologies for its residential vacuum lines. At the same time, Bosch is more commonly known for its other home and garden appliances like lawnmowers or powered drills. With such a great gap in product lines, it’s not hard for Dyson V15 to surpass Bosch Unlimited 7 in this debate.
Dyson V15 is designed with some of Dyson’s latest technologies being launched in 2021, which is quite recent. Its most advanced feature is the laser sensor that can detect even the smallest dust particles, directing users in their daily cleaning. But for me, the function that attracts me the most is the 14 concentric cyclones design that accumulates a total of 230AW suction on boost mode. Paired with HEPA filtration and maximum 60 minutes run time, this one is worth the investment!
Being the runner-up, Bosch Unlimited 7 has its own advantages. The foldable wand attracts me the most since I don’t have to sit down and hurt my back while cleaning under sofas or my bed. The vacuum also weighs only 6.2 pounds and has an extra battery pack to extend the run time from 40 to 80 minutes. However, it is slightly noisier, and the suction can’t compare to Dyson V15. The price also isn’t the best if you buy the full set.

The Dyson V15 is a cordless stick vacuum cleaner with 14 concentric cyclones technology and a laser sensor for advanced cleaning performance. The 14 cyclones work together to create powerful centrifugal forces that capture even the smallest dust particles and debris while maintaining strong suction throughout the cleaning process. This technology allows the V15 to capture up to 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.
The V15’s laser sensor is another innovative feature that sets it apart from other vacuum cleaners. This sensor detects even the tiniest particles on the floor and illuminates them, making it easier to spot and clean them up. The V15’s High Torque cleaner head also automatically adjusts to different floor types to optimize cleaning performance.
The V15 also comes with various attachments and accessories, including a crevice, mini motorized, and combination, making it a versatile and effective cleaning tool for various surfaces and spaces.
Bosch Unlimited 7
The Bosch Unlimited 7 is a cordless stick vacuum cleaner with a powerful motor and high-performance cleaning technology. It has a maximum suction power on turbo mode and is strong enough to pick up even the most stubborn dirt and debris from various surfaces. But it isn’t Dyson-strong.
It takes me only one rollover or twice to clean a bare floor with Dyson V15. Then, I noticed that the dust and debris don’t have to go under the floor nozzle to get sucked up. When I bring the nozzle close, the suction is potent enough to pick up debris about an inch away from the intake port.
With Bosch Unlimited 7, I definitely have to go over the trash pieces, but it also only takes one or two rollovers to clear the floor and carpet.

Each vacuum has convenient features that the other may not have. For example, the V15 comes with a wide range of attachments and accessories, including a crevice tool, Laser Slim Fluffy™ cleaner head, digital motorbar, combination tool, hair screw tool, etc., making it a versatile and effective cleaning tool for a variety of surfaces and spaces.
It also is equipped with laser green light that reveals every dust particle on the floor. Bosch Unlimited 7 also comes with headlights, but they are LED bulbs and white, so sometimes, when I clean light-colored grains or powder, the light blends with the dust, making it harder to detect debris.
In exchange, Bosch Unlimited 7 has the foldable wand that I love! I don’t have to double down to reach low furniture anymore. Of course, it still requires some posture cooperation, but it causes me less back pain than working with vacuums with fixed wands, like Dyson V15. There are many trade-off factors here to consider.
Noise level
Winner: Dyson V15
Dyson V15’s highest noise level is 76dB, while Bosch Unlimited 7’s max noise level is 82dB. So, there is a small gap here. In general, if possible, I always advise users to get vacuums under 80dB if they aren’t fond of this white noise. But keep in mind that the stronger the suction, the higher the noise. So if you set the cleaning mode of Bosch Unlimited 7 to Eco or normal, the sound shouldn’t be too ear-ringing.
In conclusion, if you are sensitive to loud noises, it’s still advisable to go with Dyson V15 for its 71-76dB noise level.
Price and value

Dyson usually comes out with more expensive models, which causes users to raise their eyebrows, wondering if the vacuums are worth the investment or not. And in this case, it definitely does. The multi-cyclonic suction, HEPA filtration, and multiple nozzles target different surfaces and debris, including hair screw tools, dusting brushes, and combination tools.
Being a mid-end vacuum itself, Dyson V15 can’t give away an extra battery pack for free. Users have to invest a bit more money if they want to extend the cleaning time. But if you own an apartment or small house, its 60-minute run time on ECO mode is still impressive. On turbo, it runs for 10 minutes. And the charging time is 4 hours.
As for Bosch Unlimited 7, I find it to be quite overpriced when it comes to the full package with all the accessories and an extra battery pack. It’s as expensive as some of the most expensive Dyson vacuums, which is surprising. And with its standard technologies, the sturdy assembly and the foldable wand aren’t convincing enough for me to invest such a large sum in it.
But, regarding the standard package with fewer accessories and only 1 pack of battery, I believe the price is fair. With each pack, we charge for 5 hours to get a maximum of 40 minutes of run time. On boost mode, it also lasts only 10 minutes.
