In the debate between the Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet vs Dyson 3, the second one wins overwhelmingly.
The Dyson Ball Animal 3 is an upright vacuum with great performance across my tests, and it could handle everything I tossed at it with ease. In addition, it is equipped with various utilities, especially the adjustable Motorbar – a great upgrade from the predecessor. It, no doubt, is the best Dyson upright vacuum ever manufactured, and even among the best models I’ve tested.
The Bissell Cleanview Swivel is also formidable. Even though it lacks an anti-allergy (HEPA) filter, it is still a great choice for those who have shedding pets, as it can easily remove hair from all types of surfaces.

Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet Vs Dyson 3: Differences
The Dyson Ball Animal 3 overwhelmed the Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet with a score of 5-0. But that doesn’t mean the second one is terrible. Let’s read on to explore!
Cleaning Performance
Winner: Dyson Ball Animal 3
The Bissell Cleanview performs well on bare floors. It can remove all pet hair and a good amount of small and large debris. However, it tends to send large and small debris in different directions, and it can take extra passes to vacuum everything.
On low-pile carpets, the Bissell Cleanview does a good job. It can pick up all pet hair, just like on bare floors. It struggles a bit to pick up large debris, and it has a bit harder time picking up small debris like baking soda, but it can still capture most of the debris. During testing, I noticed that debris could get stuck in the hose.
The Bissell Cleanview is also decent on high-pile carpets. It has little difficulty with both small and large debris on this surface type, but it can suck up pet hair easily. Just like on low-pile carpets, debris can also get stuck in its hose.
The Dyson Ball Animal 3 performs superbly on bare floors with the motorbar head set to the far right position. It easily clears small and bulkier debris with no loss in suction performance as its dust cup fills up.
Plus, with the Motorbar floorhead set to the middle position, the Dyson 3 easily removes fine debris and larger material on this surface type. Finally, setting the floorhead to its rightmost configuration enables it to capture fine material and larger debris with ease.
Maneuverability
Winner: Dyson Ball Animal 3
The Bissell Cleanview has a rotating head, but it doesn’t really help maneuver the machine better. Moreover, its dust cup is somewhat bulky, and it can block you from getting underneath your chairs and tables.
On the flip side, the Dyson Ball Animal 3 has better maneuverability thanks to its ball-shaped articulating mechanism, making it easier to maneuver around obstacles than its competitor.
Design and Convenience
Winner: Dyson Ball Animal 3
Dimension and Storing
The dimensions of the Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet vs Dyson 3 are 44.09 x 13.78 x 12.80 inches and 42.13 x 11.10 x 15.24 inches, respectively. As you can see, the first one is taller and wider than the other.
Generally, these machines are somewhat bulky, which is both a curse and a blessing. They can take up a lot of storage space and struggle in tight spaces. Fortunately, they make the most of their bulky design by allowing the included tools to be stored onboard.
Weight And Storing
Surprisingly, the Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet is bulkier than its competitor, but it’s lighter (14.11 lbs and 17.46 lbs, respectively). Although these machines may seem heavy, picking them up and carrying them is not a daunting task, thanks to a built-in handle. I had no problems carrying them from room to room or up and down stairs.
Range
The cord length of the Bissell Cleanview is 26.9 ft, long enough for you to clean large areas without switching outlets too often. The Dyson 3 offers an even better range with a 35-foot power cord. Note that you will have to wrap these power cords manually, which only takes a few seconds.
Dust Cup
Winner: Dyson Ball Animal 3
The Dyson 3 comes with a 0.45-gallon dust cup, while the cup of the Bissell Cleanview has a capacity of 0.26 gal. The good news is that these cups are big enough for me to clean the whole house without having to empty them in the middle.
Utilities
Winner: Dyson Ball Animal 3
Noise
Apart from my vacuuming tests, I also measure how loud these vacuums are while running. I did this by having a noise meter set from about 3′ away.
My testing showed the Dyson 3 to generate about 59 dB, which is similar to that of a dishwasher or conversation. Meanwhile, the Bissell Cleanview Swivel is significantly louder, with an average noise level of 77 dB. Be aware that the precise noise you receive from each machine may differ slightly from the results above depending on the particular surface.
So, it goes without saying that if cleaning in the morning is part of your daily schedule, the Dyson 3 is your best bet.
Accessories
In most cases, a vacuum cleaner is packed with tools and accessories that will help you effectively clean different surfaces. So let’s see what you can expect to get when you buy Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet Vs Dyson 3:

There is a quantitative difference, but not significant. So no one wins here.
Brushroll On/Off switch
The Dyson 3 has a switch that allows you to turn its brushroll on or off as needed. Unfortunately, its competition lacks this nice-to-have feature.
Why is it useful? Brushroll is useful for deep cleaning carpets but runs the risk of scratching fragile surfaces like bare floors. That’s why many vacuums have a Brushroll On/Off switch that enables you to turn off the brushroll before cleaning bare floors.
Power Adjustment
On the front of the motor bar of the Dyson 3, there is a slider that allows you to lower or raise “gates” on the front of the cleaning head. Depending on the switch position, the cleaning head will create a tighter or looser seal, resulting in weaker or stronger suction.
The left position is ideal for medium-pile carpets and rugs. It is also the best option if this vacuum is difficult to push through your carpet. Meanwhile, one of the most common complaints about the Bissell Cleanview is difficulty pushing through some carpets because of excessive suction, and there is no way to adjust the suction.
If you are cleaning low-pile carpets, the position in the middle is the one you should choose. And finally, the far right position is best for ground in dirt and hard floors.
Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet Vs Dyson 3: Similarities
Alternative Configuration
The Bissell Cleanview can be used in a half-held configuration with the wand and crevice tool attached. Likewise, you can use the Dyson 3 as a semi-handheld vacuum by leaving it completely upright, causing suction to divert through the wand.
Overall, even when used in semi-handheld mode, these machines are still quite bulky. They are far from being as convenient as the Shark “Lift Away” Vacuum.
Build Quality
Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet vs Dyson 3 are mainly made out of plastic, and they feel flimsy overall. But many users reported that they can last up to 7 years. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they will stay nice for a long time.
