Need a vacuum that tackles microdust to pet hair efficiently? Then, check out my review for the debate of Bissell Cleanview Compact vs Powerlifter 2260! After testing them against different types of debris and comparing their technologies, it’s clear to me that Bissell Powerlift 2260 is the winner!

The Bissell 2260 takes first place thanks to its adjustable head height, strong suction power to tackle different debris sizes, and longer hose and power cord to reach higher or deeper corners, whether under the bed or on top of the curtain. In addition, I find it much quieter than its opponent, and the cleaning performance is significantly better, especially against larger trashes. Highly recommendable if you are looking for an affordable vacuum with high techs!

The Bissell Cleanview Compact came in second place and is well known for its compactness. The vacuum is simple to move about the apartment or room because it weighs just 7.5 pounds. This is a fantastic start if you need a cheap vacuum! But, of course, being cheaper means having less advanced features. Its short cord and hose aren’t for big rooms, and the assembly looks flimsy and cheap.

Bissell Cleanview Compact vs Powerlifter 2260: Differences

Bissell Powerlifter 2260 wins 3-0 and ties twice against Bissell Cleanview Compact. The former boasts a quieter operation and cleans better against larger debris like papers, cereals, or big dust piles. Check out my full review below to know the pros and cons of both devices.

Cleaning performance

Winner: Bissell Powerlifter 2260

Bare floors

Bare floors are no biggie for Bissell Powerlifter 2260, especially against small-medium-sized debris. With its 13.5 inches cleaning path, I don’t have to push and pull the device around too many times for it to pick up all the dirt and trashes. With Bissell Cleanview Compact, the cleaning path width is only 10 inches.

The brushroll shut-off feature is worth mentioning because many families opt for sealed wooden floors for better visual and temperature benefits. In addition, the function is available on 2260, not Cleanview Compact, and it avoids scratching the wax or the surface in general.

I have tested the cleaning performance on bare tile floors and wooden floors for good measurement, and with the brushroll on, the result is more positive with 2260 due to stronger suction and adjustable head height. In addition, I have been able to pick up from dust, leftover snacks, to cereal or small vegetable pieces. I don’t recommend vacuuming wet stuff because the aftermath isn’t good for the floor or the vacuum.

Carpets and rugs

With an adjustable head height, 2260 works great with both low-pile and high-pile carpets, even though it’s inevitable that there is a bit of struggle sometimes when cleaning shaggy ones. Compact Cleanview’s floor nozzle already has a lifted opening, so it doesn’t eat up the high-pile carpet and can work with the material too. But against lower carpets, the suction isn’t the best at all times.

Utilities

Winner: Bissell Powerlifter 2260

Bissell Powerlifter 2260 boasts a 30ft cord and 5ft hose, while the Cleanview Compact’s are only 23ft and 4.5ft. The differences may not seem too big, but you will definitely notice them when working around furniture or when you need to reach the top of your windows’ curtains. In any case, I will choose a vacuum with a longer cord any day.

What I like about both vacuums in terms of utility is the lift-away feature, which is a must for upright vacuums. In addition, it’s possible to detach the floor nozzle from the motor so that users can switch to a crevice or upholstery tool, which is included with the vacuums as a set.

Regarding nozzles, 2260 has a special PetTurbo Tool that removes hair with immense force. It can handle short to long hair really well, even if the strands are stuck on a dense low-pile carpet. This accessory is available for 2260 and models of its same price range only, so you may want to consider that.

Dust container and filtration system

Tie

This pair shares the same filtration system and 0.26-gallon dust container capacity. Bissell employs the same multicycle disk filter on its vacuums, and even though the technique is quite basic, it has been working surprisingly well with all of the vacuums from the brand I own. The case is the same with this pair.

The filtration system requires users to clean the spongy and carbon filters after each use or at least after every 2 uses. These premotor disks keep the dust particles from leaving the dust cleaning to enter the environment once again via the exhaust port. That’s the theory. Practical-wise, I find the air clear from dirt, which reflects through my non-agitated respiratory system.

But, it’s important to remember to replace the filters after 3-6 months of use. The longer you keep them, the less efficient the suction and the more dust exits into the air. I have tried to test their limits, and it’s not a good idea because a dust cloud is forming while I’m vacuuming with the worn-out filters on.

Comfortable Noise level

Winner: Bissell Powerlifter 2260

Bissell Powerlifter 2260 is noticeably less noisy compared to Cleanview Compact. The difference is more highlighted when I work with smaller messes, as the white noise from 2260 sounds soothing while its opponent produces a more screeching performance. Understandably, with big dust piles, both are loud. But, overall, this detail greatly impacts why I prefer working with 2260. It simply is more pleasant to work with on a standard cleaning day.

Price and value aspect

Tie

It depends a lot on your budget, the space you will work with, and the requirements for technologies you have. Therefore, both vacuums have good prices for value in their own way.

If you are willing to invest a bit more and, in exchange, have longer reach to corners, enjoy cleaner and more powerful suction, and use a sturdy device for its price, I highly recommend Bissell 2260. The device is highly advanced than its opponent. The brushroll shut-off feature is definitely a major advantage as it allows users to work with more variable surfaces, which the Clean Compact doesn’t have. The investment is worth it!

But, if you are working with a smaller space and don’t care for large debris, Bissell Cleanview Compact is an economical option. I highly recommend it if it’s your first vacuum and you are just starting out with this type of appliance. It can handle small-medium trashes and microdust with ease. The price is really hard to pass, so if you don’t mind taking a step back with the technology and assembly, I still recommend this model!
