Dyson is revered as the current king of the vacuum niche, and they always make their machines better with each generation. When comparing Dyson stick vacuums to similar products from other brands, I’ve found Dyson wins convincingly in most cases. Can this brand maintain its winning streak in the ongoing battle between the Roidmi RS60 vs Dyson V11? Fortunately, the short answer is yes.
With an exorbitant price tag (approximately $600), the Dyson V11 is considered a luxury vacuum by many. But such is life! You always get what you pay for! If you opt for it, you’ll need to spend top dollar, but you’ll get some cutting-edge technologies that make it more like a spaceship than a stick vacuum!
The Roidmi RS60, the runner-up, is also a costly model. It has powerful suction and comes with a great set of attachments, which can certainly give the Dyson model a run for its money. Its biggest deal-breaker is that it uses a built-in battery, so there’s no way to increase the runtime, and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Roidmi RS60 Vs Dyson V11: Differences
With a score of 3-1 against the Roidmi RS60, the Dyson V11 emerges as the overall winner. It works well on both hard floors and carpets, and its suction can be adjusted automatically, thanks to an advanced sensor. Keep reading for more information!
Vacuuming Performance
Winner: Dyson V11
Suction Power & Floorhead
The Dyson V11’s suction power peaks at 185 AW, lower than the V15 but higher than the V12. As for Roidmi RS60, it seems Roidmi didn’t mention its suction in AW, but I believe it’s on par with the Dyson V11.
The Dyson V11 (Torque Drive) comes out of the box with the High Torque cleaner head, which is designed to handle all floors and surfaces. Unlike its predecessors, it has “a com of fangs” called polycarbonate teeth engineered to remove hair wrap. Likewise, the Roidmi RS60 includes a V-shaped soft roller brush, which Roidmi claims prevents hair from getting tangled around the roller.
Hard Floor
The Roidmi RS60 just worked decently on this type of surface. As for fine and small debris, it picked up almost everything and left a spotless path behind. But as for slightly larger debris, it struggled a bit more – It’s a widespread issue for low-clearance floorheads.
The Dyson V11 could easily tackle most of the debris I dropped on my hard floor. It is worth noting that it easily picked up large debris, which many other models struggle with. The High Torque head has two crenellation-like holes, which allow large debris to be easily picked up instead of piled up in front of the nozzle. If you opt for the Dyson V11 Absolute, you’ll get a soft roller (you can also buy it separately on Amazon) that is really a boom on hard floors.
Carpet
The V11 repeated the feat on my carpets with a top-tier overall score – 97% of total debris was picked up without any problem. But it did feel hard to maneuver in Boost mode, especially on my high carpet. I found it worked better with the auto setting enabled.
The Roidmi RS60, on the other hand, didn’t perform as well on carpets as it did on my hard floors. It seems that the design of its V-shaped roller did not do a good job of stirring up the carpet fibers to pick up the deep-seated stuff.
Hair Test
As mentioned above, both the Roidmi RS60 vs Dyson V11 can combat tangles in this or another way. My tests showed their anti-tangle technology really worked but was not as magical as the manufacturers boasted. There was still a negligible amount of longer hair that stayed on their roller at the end of the day, and of course, removing it was easy.

Attachments & Storage

The Roidmi RS60 comes with a magnetic wall charger that makes wireless charging a snap. If you’re using a newer iPhone (iPhone 12 or later), you’ll know that it can perfectly attach to the MagSafe Charger for charging, and the same goes for the Roidmi RS60. Just attach the vacuum to this charger when not in use, and it will stay neat and organized there for the next cleaning.
There is an adhesive pad on the back of this magnetic wall, so it is unnecessary to drill and screw it onto the wall. There is an adhesive pad on its back, so it is unnecessary to drill and screw it onto the wall, allowing it to score brownie points with those who don’t like drilling walls, like me. It would be better if it could also hold a few attachments like Roborock H7‘s wall base.
The Dyson V11, like its siblings, comes with a wall charging base that provides a safe storage spot for the vacuum and two attachments. By default, it must be wall-mounted (which requires a bit of chiseling and drilling) near an outlet for charging and storing the vacuum, but that’s not the only way. You have another option to charge the vacuum without the dock being wall-mounted – just plug the charger directly into the battery.
Weight and Maneuverability
The V11 Torque Drive shares the same proportions as the previous Dyson stick, the Absolute, but it is heavier at 6.68 pounds. Maneuvering it on surfaces and around furniture was a breeze for me, thanks to the swivel head. Cleaning under furniture is also easy, thanks to the low profile floorhead, but I had to stoop to do it, which is a deal breaker for people with bad backs. It felt a bit top-heavy in my hand, which became most apparent when I used it as a handheld vacuum to reach higher.
Weighing in at about 6 pounds, the Roidmi RS60 is among the lightweight cordless vacuums available out there. In the default stick configuration, it was very maneuverable and easy to lift up or reach under my tables and sofas. It can also be reconfigured as a portable vacuum by detaching the dustbin from the pipe and main nozzle. I worked with this handheld unit for a long time without hand fatigue, but many users claimed that the handheld mode was too heavy to hold for cleaning top areas.
Battery Life
Roidmi RS60 | Dyson V11 | |
---|---|---|
Maximum Battery Life | ≈ 61 mins | ≈ 54 mins |
Minimum Battery Life | ≈12 mins | ≈ 9 mins |
Charging Time | 2.5 hours | 4 hours |
The Roidmi RS60 vs Dyson V11 are both advertised to have impressive run times of up to 70 minutes and 60 minutes, respectively. But, when using the main nozzle attachment, which is typically required for a thorough cleaning, I observed a slight decrease in their operational times.
The Dyson V11 uses a click-in battery system, allowing for effortless removal and swapping. So if you have a mammoth-size house, investing in a spare battery makes sense to ensure uninterrupted cleaning sessions. Thankfully, purchasing an additional battery is a breeze on Amazon or Dyson’s official website.
The Roidmi RS60, on the other hand, uses a built-in battery, and that’s a big pro, in my opinion. So it is my hope that Roidmi engineers incorporate removable batteries into their future products.
Dust Cup & Filtration System
Winner: Dyson V11
The Roidmi RS60’s dust canister has a capacity of 0.55 liter, which is 35% larger than that of its predecessor. This is a welcome improvement, but it should be larger. Emptying it is a bit complicated: remove the tool, take the dust cup off, and press a release button to let all the dust and dirt go.
The Dyson V11’s 0.75-liter dust cup is easy to empty thanks to its “point and shoot:” mechanism, and I rarely found myself poking around to empty it and get my hand dirty. Just grab a red lever on the side and make a few up-and-down movements to eject all the contents. It can also be taken apart completely for thorough cleaning. I found the lever is quite fragile, and if it breaks, I must buy a new dustbin. So keeping my finger crossed that this doesn’t happen!
The Dyson V11 boasts a fully-sealed filtration system. So all the dirt and allergens will be routed straight to the HEPA filter on the top of the handheld unit, where they will be captured. This HEPA-grade filter is advertised as can trap 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, so it guarantees the air coming out of this unit is very clean. It is best to rinse it once every 1-2 months. Remember that it is taboo to add a wet filter to the machine – I recommend purchasing another filter to say goodbye to downtime.
As for the Roidmi RS60, those with severe allergies will also benefit from its sealed system and HEPA-grade filter. But it seems it’s harder to buy a backup filter.
Utilities

Mopping Ability
Here it is! The mopping ability is really the icing on the cake of the Roidmi RS60. With the mop head attached, the Roidmi RS60 can be used for mopping floors. It is worth noticing that this attachment is mounted close to the back of the main nozzle so that this machine can vacuum and mop simultaneously. Not many models, even high-end ones, can do that.
This feature is one of the things that makes it more expensive than other Roidmi stick vacuums. With that in mind, you might wonder, “Is wet and dry function worth the extra money?” In my opinion, the answer is No.
This function is just good for giving your floor, which isn’t very dirty, a quick mop. It doesn’t create any scrubbing action and isn’t compatible with any detergents, so it will struggle to remove stubborn stains. That said, it is far from replacing specialized floor mops in disinfecting your floors, but I’m glad it’s here.
Digital Screen
The V11 is the first Dyson stick vacuum with a fancy LCD screen, and I found it really useful instead of just being there to make the Dyson V11 more expensive and look more modern. It lets me know how much runtime the vacuum has left before asking to be charged, the selected power mode, and when the filter needs to be cleaned. It also alerted me when blockages occurred (thanks to a pressure sensor).
The Roidmi RS60 also features an up-front OLED screen that shows the remaining battery and the power mode used, making it a good reminder while vacuuming. It can also be connected to an app that displays the remaining battery life, filter maintenance, cleaning time, dust container capacity, and even calories you burned while vacuuming. I don’t really consider vacuuming part of a workout, so this feature isn’t very useful to me, but yayy!
Power Modes
The Dyson V11 has three modes: Eco, Auto, and Boost – the second one is what makes it stand out among the earlier dyson models. In Auto mode, its cleaner head can automatically increase or decrease its suction based on the surface type detected by the dynamic load sensor (DLS) for optimal performance. This futuristic technology definitely helps optimize battery life, as I didn’t need to set the vacuum on boot mode the whole time.
The Roidmi RS60 has three suction power settings: Min/Med/ Max. There is no mode where it can automatically adjust its suction.
Control Method
The Dyson V11 requires constant holding down a trigger to keep it running. This design is definitely Jekyll and Hyde: It helps preserve the machine’s battery life because it only uses power when you’re cleaning, but your hands will get tired quickly. I would be happy if all the future Dyson models had a trigger lock feature like the Tineco Pure One S12.
Turning on/off the Roidmi RS60 and controlling it is very ergonomically pleasing. All the buttons were placed near where I placed my thumb. Still, the power button is a bit lower than the one used to toggle between modes, which I’m unsure is the proper placement.
LED Headlights
There are LED lights on the Roidmi RS60’s nozzle, which is a game changer when I need to clean under the bed or cabinet. It helped me see very clearly the amount of dust there and also tell if I have vacuumed everything. As for the Dyson V11, it has no headlight at all, and you need to spend a bit more on the V15 or the V12 to get “Laser Detect” technology.
