Samsung Jet 75 vs Dyson V11: Both of these vacuum cleaners are well-known in the industry and are offered by respected manufacturers. So, which one would be the best choice? For me, I’m superior to the Samsung Jet 75.
The Samsung Jet 75 impressed me because of its high suction power and long run time (up to 60 minutes). It has great cleaning performance, especially efficient at cleaning hard floors. Its self-emptying base station makes it easier to maintain. Finally, its reasonable cost gives it an edge over the V11.
The Dyson V11 is the ideal option if carpets are your primary concern. The LCD display is an appealing addition that makes keeping track of my cleaning progress much easier. However, it comes at a high cost. However, given the company’s track record in the stick vacuum industry, Dyson V11 is also worth buying.

Samsung Jet 75 vs Dyson V11: Differences
Samsung Jet 75 wins 2-1 and ties twice against the Dyson V11. Both have excellent cleaning performance. The Jet 75 works better on hard floors and is more value for money. On the flip side, the Dyson V11 works better on carpets.
Cleaning Performance
The Winner: Tie
Suction Power
According to Samsung, the Jet 75’s maximum power output is an amazing 200 AW (air watts). That’s much higher than Dyson’s V11 (185 AW) and almost as powerful as the V15 Detect, a vacuum that costs twice as much. However, when put to practical use, I think that this suction was more than adequate.
Hard Floor Performance
On hard surfaces, the Samsung Jet 75 excels. I believe that the soft roller is the most crucial factor that contributes to its outstanding performance. It did particularly well with everything from fine to extra large debris of all types, like most soft rollers out there. It’s a joy to use on hard floors. You can also use the Regular head to clean the hard floors, but I found it to be more designed for carpet.
This vacuum could get clogged up when I tried to remove the cereal from the hard floor. But I switched to maximum suction, and the problem was resolved.
The Dyson V11 vacuum has decent performance on bare floors, but it can’t compare to the Samsung Jet 75 because it doesn’t have a soft roller head. To tell you the truth, the Torque drive head of the Dyson V11 does not perform very well while picking up debris from hard floors. Instead, it scatters the debris, especially when dealing with larger debris. It works great for removing finer particles like rice but may require a second pass to remove larger debris like cereal.
Carpet Performance
The Jet 75 also works well on carpets. It is very good at removing small materials such as baking soda, but I sometimes need to make an additional pass to remove larger debris such as sand completely.
For cleaning carpets, the Dyson V11 is also an excellent choice. However, it is marginally superior to the Jet 75. It has no trouble vacuuming debris of all sizes. Particularly, it is a “beast” for sucking up the dirt deep-embed under the carpet.
One problem is that the Samsung Jet 75 might be too powerful for thinner rugs and carpets. The suction from the vacuum is so strong that it lifts the rug close to the rotating head and causes enough resistance to stop the head from rotating. I’m a pretty strong dude, so it doesn’t bother me, but my wife gets an arm workout every time she uses it on the carpet.
Apparently, Dyson stick vacs can fall victim to lifting the thinner rug, too. I see it as a testament to the V11 and Jet 75’s power, and I don’t have issues with thicker rugs and carpets.
Cleaning Modes
Dyson V11 has three suction power modes: Eco, Auto, and Boost. It also comes with the “Automatic adjust suction power” feature that I find particularly useful when cleaning. Specifically, when vacuuming using “Auto” mode, the vacuum will automatically adjust its suction power to suit the type of floor I am vacuuming.
When I first started out and didn’t know how to set the suction exactly, this feature was a lifesaver. However, once I have gotten used to it, I can manually adjust it by switching between the “Eco” mode and the “Boost” mode, depending on whether I am cleaning up light debris or dealing with stubborn messes. Or just when I want the device to handle everything for me, “Automatic adjust suction power” is a handy feature.
The suction also can be adjusted manually to accommodate different types of surfaces through a small slider on the front of the cleaner head.
The Samsung Jet 75 has four different power modes: Min, Mid, Max and WET. The power buttons located right above the handle allow you to toggle between these four available modes. There isn’t a surface detecting system like the Dyson V11 has, thus it can’t automatically change its suction power according to floor type cleaning.
Design & Convenience
The Winner: Samsung Jet 75
Weight & Maneuverability
The Samsung Jet 75’s portability is exceptional. It’s comfortable to use for long periods of time because it weighs only 6.2 pounds, making it somewhat more portable than the Dyson V11.
At 6.7 pounds, the Dyson v11 isn’t too much heavier than the Samsung Jet 75. However, prolonged use may cause discomfort due to its top-heavy design, particularly when used in handheld mode.
Size & Dimensions
The two different vacuums are all of a similar shape, although the Dyson V11 is a little bit taller. This extra length helps me reach places like the shelf easier. The Dyson V11 might be a better fit for taller folks. Except for minor differences in length, operating these vacuums is essentially identical.
The Jet 75 comes with a telescopic wand that may be lengthened or shortened depending on the cleaning task. This may be an amazing addition because it allows you to choose the precise length required to access a difficult area. However, in my opinion, I saw no reason to have the telescopic wand. It wouldn’t fit on the stand unless it were retracted first. And it was ridiculously short if it wasn’t fully extended. So it just seemed like an extra step with no obvious benefit.
Battery Life & Charge Time
There will be no specific number of hours of battery life because it depends on many factors, especially the suction mode you use. Each device can run for up to 60 minutes in Eco (on the Dyson V11) or Min (on the Samsung Jet 75) mode.
When using them in maximum power mode, you will notice the difference. Now, the Samsung Jet 75 has the upper hand because it can operate for 10 minutes in “Max” mode. While the Dyson V11 has a shorter run time, of just 8 minutes.
Still, the Jet 75 has a shorter charging time. The Samsung Jet 75 has a battery that can be charged to full capacity in 3.5 hours. For the Dyson V11, that time is 4.5 hours.
Dust Bin
The Winner: Dyson V11
Dust Bin Capacity
The dust bin on the Dyson V11 and the Samsung Jet 75 are both sizable enough. They have a 0.75-liter and 0.8-liter capacity, respectively.
If such a capacity is too small and does not satisfy you, the dirtbag inside the Clean Station of the Samsung Jet 75 has a capacity of 2.5L, which will meet your requirements. This capacity is similar to that of a standard-sized upright vacuum cleaner.
You may now ask, “What exactly is Clean Station?” Keep reading because I will explain everything in the coming sections.
Empty The Dustbin
The V11’s dustbin is very easy to empty. Whereas, emptying the Jet 75’s dustbin is slightly more hassle if you just buy the vacuum without the Clean Station.
I usually use vacuum cleaners that feature a dustbin with a pop-up lid that is very easy to empty the bin. However, the the Jet 75 does not like this. First, you’ll need to remove the dirt bin from the vacuum. Then remove the filters. It’s not tough at all; it’s just different from what I am used to do. And, to be fair, there are more steps involved than when using a bin with a pop-up lid.
With the Dyson V11, cleaning the dust bin is more of a “point and shoot” process. On the side of the dust container, you will find a lever that can be pulled to open the lid. The bin can will then be propelled forward, opening the canister and releasing the contents.
Clean Station
I decided to buy the Jet 75 with the optional Clean Station base because I thought it would be more convenient. And I am so happy I did since, as I’ll explain above, the Jet 75’s emptying process is a bit of a pain if you just buy the vacuum on its own.
When I emptied the Dyson V11’s dirt bin, some dust would fly back into my house. The Clean Station aids in preventing this problem with the Samsung Jet 75.
The clean station is a truly forward-thinking concept. It eliminates the need for additional sweeping after emptying the vacuum. Consider the Clean Station, a standalone vacuum cleaner designed to clear the trash from the Jet 75. All you have to do is simply take the dustbin off and set it on top of the Clean Station. The Clean Station will then open the dirt bin and vacuum up all the debris inside.
I think you should give Clean Station a try. When paired with the Clean Station, the Jet 75 is frequently less expensive than the Dyson V11 while still providing comparable performance.
Utilities
The Winner: Tie
Display
Both the Dyson V11 and the Jet 75 have digital displays that provide additional details about the machine. However, the V11 has a more user-friendly interface.
The Dyson V11 has a cutting-edge LCD display that can be found behind the motor. Several important information, such as the cleaning mode and the estimated remaining run time, are shown on this screen.
The Jet 75 has a handy OLED display on the handle that tells you which suction mode you’re now using. While I appreciated Samsung’s minimalism, I really desired a battery life indicator like on the Dyson V11.
On/Off Controls
The controls of these two vacuum cleaners are also worth mentioning because they are of two different concepts. And I won’t conclude which is more dominant as it is a matter of personal preference.
The Samsung vacuum has buttons for on/off use, which may be more convenient for some. It has three buttons: one for powering it on and two for selecting different power profiles. The display makes these buttons even more intuitive to use.
Some people would prefer a trigger-style switch on Dyson V11 so that the device is only active while the user is holding it.
I really like that the Samsung Jet 75 has a physical power button. As a trigger-operated vacuum cleaner, the Dyson V11 required constant trigger pulls. It wasn’t until I tried the Jet 75 with a power button that I realized how much I detested the trigger. Use of it for extended periods of time causes arm fatigue.
Price & Value For Money
The Winner: Samsung Jet 75
When compared to other premium stick vacuums, the Jet 75’s pricing, battery life, and cleaning performance, all make it a great buy. When compared to the Dyson V11, Samsung’s Jet 75 is much more affordable, typically costing $100 less. It’s a steal compared to competing vacuums, which can’t even come close to matching its performance. Compared to the more expensive Dyson V11, the Jet 75 is a very attractive option.
