The Tineco Pure One S11 vs S11 Tango: These are two versions of the same cordless vacuum. In short, the Pure One S11 Tango version is better, especially for those who prioritize cleaning hard floors, as it comes out of the box with a soft roller. But if you want to save money and be fine with using the multi-surface floorhead on your floor, the Pure One S11 normal version is also worth considering.

Pure One S11 Vs S11 Tango: Differences

In my opinion, the Pure One S11 Tango is a better purchase as it comes with a soft roller, which is a real bonus for cleaning hard floors. Of course, you will need to spend a few extra bucks for this version.

As you can see, the only thing that the Tango version has over the normal version is the LED soft-roller power brush. In case you don’t know, the soft roller is designed to clean hard floors without the risk of scratching them. The roller is removable and washable.

It seems that this type of floorhead is the only cause of the cost difference between these two versions  (the Tango version is more expensive). So, is it worth it? To my mind, it is a must-have. Who doesn’t have a hard floor in their house?

My tests showed that the multi-tasker power brush pushed a good amount of larger debris, such as cereal and fruit loops, around. Then, when I lifted the brush, a small amount of dirt was shot back to the floor. Meanwhile, the Pure One S11, with the soft-roller power brush attached, could easily pick up all the debris on my hard floor.

But on my carpet, the Pure One S11 could pick up 99+% of the debris with its LED multi-surface power brush. This is an extremely good result for a mid-range cordless vacuum.

Both the cleaning heads are also equipped with some LED headlights that made it easier for me to spot all the debris and dirt in locations with poor lighting. I found it not as effective as the green laser of the Dyson V15‘s laser slim fluffy floorhead, but half a loaf is better than none!

Pure One S11 vs S11 Tango: Similarities

Storage

The Pure One S11 comes with a wall mount, and unfortunately, it is impossible to charge the vacuum without it. I found that I couldn’t plug the charger directly into the battery or the handheld part as I could with some Dyson cord-free vacuums. To charge the vacuum/battery, I had to attach the charger to the wall-mounted charging station, park the vacuum in the wall mount, or remove the battery and place it there.

This can be a bear to those who don’t like drilling into their walls like me. In fact, I always give props to vacuums with self-standing charging stations like the Samsung Jet 90 or the LG CordZero. Even Dyson offers this type of charging station for their stick vacuums, though it needs to be purchased separately.

On the plus side, it has room for three attachments, and I could store the ones I use most: the dusting brush, mini power brush, and crevice tool. In addition, it can charge two batteries at the same time: one installed in the handheld unit and one spare.

Weight and Maneuverability

The Pure One S11 is very lightweight, at just 5.7 pounds. Its weight is approximately that of the Dyson V12, which is designed to be lightweight and compact in mind. And If reconfigured as a handheld vacuum, it will weigh just over 3 pounds. Maneuvering it is easy, thanks to the swivel head, but it can’t lie completely flat on the surface, so vacuuming under some of my tables was a bit difficult.

Battery Life

Battery LifeAuto mode: ≈ 34-45mins
Highest mode: ≈  11 mins
Charge Time≈ 200 mins

The S11 is powered by a removable battery, so you can swap in a new one once the installed one is depleted. I’m quite interested in the transparent casing of the battery, like the handheld part, which gives a clear view of the circuit board inside. And as mentioned above, the S11 model comes with a dual charging station, so you can’t go wrong with an extra battery in hand.

Dustbin and Filter System

The S11s’ dust cup can hold up to 0.6 liters of dirt, and emptying it is easy with the quick-release mechanism.  This model is really a godsend for people with severe allergies since it has a sealed system and two filters: pre-motor and post-motor (HEPA) filters. Both filters are washable, but they will need to be replaced with new filters after repeated reuse. The pre-motor can be washed using the included pre-filter cleaning tool. As for the HEPA filter, you can wash it under the tap and let it dry completely – for at least 24 hours. Click here for the tutorial video.

Utilities

Trigger Lock

Many stick vacuums, especially Dyson ones, are equipped with a trigger. It should be kept pressed continuously to power the vacuum, and once you release it, it will turn off. It should theoretically help extend battery life, but constantly pressing the trigger button will lead to annoyance.

Fortunately, the Pure One S11 has a trigger lock feature, so it’s unnecessary to hold down the trigger to keep it running. Think of activities such as sanding, sawing, and drilling. It is very useful for those who wear jewelry, are a bit older, or have hand problems.

Display Screen And App Connectivity

The Pure One S11 has a circle LED, though it is only a mid-range model. It’s similar to the one I’ve seen on the Dyson V15 but less useful. It will alert when the brush roller is tangled, the air channel gets blocked, the wifi is connected, and it is time to clean the dust sensor

The most special part of the screen is its outer ring, which may change color based on the amount of dust/debris – blue shows that the air has no debris, whereas red indicates more debris.

Another nice-to-have feature is that it can be connected to a smartphone through an app. Yes, not many models offer this feature, even high-end ones.
