Samsung Jet 90 vs Jet 75 both belong to the Jet Stick vacuum line from Samsung. Functionally, they are the same, and the only noticeable difference between these two models is the wand’s design and charging base.
The Samsung Jet 75 is a real workhorse. It has powerful suction and two great cleaning heads that make it perfect for cleaning all surfaces. It can even be turned into a handy and effective mop by combining it with a spinning sweeper brush attachment (sold separately). I also purchased a Clean Station separately and found that it actually made emptying the dust cup more hygienic, something those with severe allergies need.
As an upgrade to the Jet 75, the Samsung Jet 90 has all the good features of its predecessor and some new additions. It features a telescoping tube, reducing the vertical footprint for more compact storage. Most strikingly, it includes a self-standing charging station that can be placed anywhere, doesn’t require drilling into the wall, and can charge two batteries at the same time. However, these additional features require extra bucks.

Samsung Jet 90 vs Jet 75: Differences
The Samsung Jet 90 defeated the Jet 75 by a score of 1-0. The winner has a telescoping wand, which makes storage more compact by adjusting the height, and a larger dust cup. In addition, its charging stand can charge two batteries at the same time.
Attachments And Storage
Winner: Samsung Jet 90
Note that I am referring to the Jet 75 Complete and the Jet 90 Complete, which come with the full set of attachments:

Both have an extension wand, but the Jet 90’s wand has a telescoping design that allows you to adjust the length of the vacuum. So you can set the Jet 90 to a lower height so it takes up less vertical space for more compact storage.
The charging station is another difference between the Samsung Jet 90 vs Jet 75. The Jet 75 includes a wall-mounted mount that can house two attachments and store/charge the vacuum. This charging base needs to be attached to the wall, so you will need to drill the wall and can’t easily adjust where it is located.
The Jet 90 has a free-standing base called the Z Station, which has some unique features. It can store/charge the vacuum and hold two accessories. In addition, it also has a slot for a spare battery, so it can basically charge two batteries at the same time, which the Jet 75’s wall-mounted mount can’t.
Samsung Jet 90 vs Jet 75: Similarities
Cleaning Performance
The first thing the Samsung Jet 90 vs Jet 75 have in common is two floorheads: a turbo action brush roller and a soft brush.
The soft brush roller is designed specifically for hard surface cleaning. I tested the Jet 90 with the soft brush on my hardwood, and it was flawless, with a max power of 200 AW. I could handle 100% of the debris I threw at it on this type of surface, which the turbo action brush failed to achieve.
The turbo action brush can basically work on multiple surfaces, but it is best for carpets of all types. The Samsung Jet 90’s and Jet 75’s performance on high-pile carpets was on par with their performance on low-pile carpets. They left a decent amount of small debris in the carpet fibers. Still, they could collect all of the larger ones but drop a small amount of them back after I switched off the machine.
The turbo action brush is not equipped with an anti-tangle system like the Dyson V15, so having a decent amount of hair stay on the roller is inevitable. Fortunately, it is easy to detach the roller to cut off and pull out any tangled hair when necessary. The soft roller can also be removed for easy maintenance.
One of their nifty features is the ability to mop. Combined with a mop head and two microfiber pads, they can be used as mops, which I believe are faster and more effective than many cheap mops available out there, but far behind professional mops.
Battery Life
Samsung Jet 75 | Samsung Jet 90 | |
---|---|---|
Minimum Battery Life | ≈ 11 mins | ≈ 10 mins |
Maximum Battery Life | ≈ 46 mins | ≈ 42 mins |
Recharge Time | ≈ 217 minutes | ≈ 215 minutes |
The battery of these machines can last up to almost an hour, but this estimate is based on the lowest suction level for each. I found that the lowest power setting has more than enough power for most of my daily cleaning tasks. In fact, it’s what I use 90% of the time. But I highly recommend buying a secondary battery to get almost 2 hours of uninterrupted cleaning, which is especially necessary for those who live in large homes.
DUST CUP AND FILTER
Winner: Samsung Jet 90
These machines share a 0.8-liter dustbin. I’m also glad that the dust bin is dishwasher safe so that it can be cleaned frequently for easy maintenance!
However, it is a bit awkward to empty the dust cup, so you should consider buying a Clean Station. This unit makes emptying the dust cup easier, more convenient, and more hygienic – it could solve an unsolvable problem with bagless vacuums: some dust and dirt would be released into my home when I emptied the dust cup. This handy tower is not included in the purchase, but you can always buy it separately.
The filter system on both, including the micro and HEPA filters, can capture 99.999% of microdust, pollen, and other allergens to give your home cleaner air. You should dust the micro filter regularly and rinse them with water once a month. As for the HEPA filter, just remove any dust and debris from it as needed.
Utilities
I love that these vacuums sport a power button instead of a trigger, so I didn’t have to pull the trigger the entire vacuuming time as I did with the Dyson V15. While you won’t benefit from the same battery-saving ability as the system trigger, the power button really helps cut down on hand fatigue. Just remember to turn off the vacuum when you need to pause to do something.
They also share a display screen that shows four modes: low, medium, and max (related to vacuuming ability) and wet (related to mopping ability), as well as alerts about airflow issues, clogs, and a lack of filters. There is no estimated remaining battery life here.
