Dyson Ball Animal 2 vs Shark Vertex ICZ362H: If I had to choose one, I would lean towards the latter.
The Shark Vertex ICZ362H has excellent performance on all types of surfaces, thanks to a DuoClean floorhead. It also comes equipped with a PowerFins Brush Roll to minimize tangled hair, making it perfect for pet owners. On top of that, there are so many bells and whistles!
The Dyson Ball Animal 2 left me a bit disappointed since it doesn’t have nifty features like LED headlights, even though it is quite expensive. But if you only care about cleaning performance, it is a good option!

Dyson Ball Animal 2 vs Shark Vertex ICZ362H: Differences
The Shark Vertex Corded wins 2-0 and draws four times against the Dyson Ball Animal 2. These two models have comparable cleaning performance, but the first one takes the lead since it boasts many nice-have features.
Type
Winner: Tie
Both the Dyson Ball Animal 2 vs Shark Vertex are upright vacuums, but the first one is corded while the other is cordless.
The Shark ICZ362H, thanks to its cordless design, allows you to move freely around your home without any hassle. It takes more than 3 hours to charge the vacuum fully, and it can run from twenty minutes to over an hour, depending on the selected setting. So I recommend buying a spare battery so your cleaning job won’t be interrupted by running out of battery.
The Dyson Ball Animal 2, on the other hand, has a 3.38-foot power cord. I think this length is more than enough to cover any area you need to clean. But this vacuum would be better if it had automatic cord management.
Cleaning Performance
Winner: Tie
On my hard floor, both the Dyson Ball Animal 2 vs Shark Vertex sucked up small debris and a good amount of larger debris with ease, but the second one seemed a bit better than its competitor.
As for low-pile carpet tests, the Dyson Ball Animal 2 was more effective at removing large debris, while the Shark Vertex ICZ362H was better for fine and small debris.
My high-pile carpet tests showed that both vacuums were equally effective at capturing small debris, but the Shark Vertex was superior at picking up bulky debris.
Regarding pet hair removal, they did a great job of handling pet hair. But the brush roll of the Dyson Ball Animal 2 wasn’t designed to remove tangles, making it a little harder to clear away wrapped hair. Meanwhile, the Shark Vertex ICZ362H easily sent a good amount of hair into its dust cup thanks to a self-cleaning brush roll.
Dimensions And Weight
Winner: Shark Vertex ICZ362H
The dimensions of the Dyson Ball Animal 2 vs Shark Vertex ICZ362H are 42.13 x 13.39 x 16.93 inches and 45.28 x 10.24 x 11.02 inches, respectively. They are still quite bulky, but the Dyson Ball Animal 2 has onboard storage for a few tools, while there is no onboard storage for the accessories on the Shark ICZ362H.
In terms of weight, the Shark ICZ362H is very portable because it weighs only 12.57 lbs while carrying the Dyson Ball Animal 2 around can be a bit of a workout for some users since it weighs around 17.2 lbs.
Dirt Tank And Filter
Winner: Tie
The Dyson Ball Animal 2 takes the lead with a 0.32-gallon dust cup, which is larger than the 0.21-gallon dirt bin of the Shark Vertex ICZ362H. So if a big dust cup is your priority, you won’t go wrong with the Dyson Ball Animal 2.
Both are also equipped with HEPA filters that can capture up to 99.9% of dirt and allergens. These filters are washable, and the manufacturers recommend washing them at least once a month for Dyson Ball Animal 2 and once a year for Shark Vertex ICZ362H. But you should wash them whenever you find them dirty to maintain good suction power.
One thing that the ICZ362H has over the Dyson Ball Animal 2 is that it has advanced anti-allergen complete seal technology to ensure nothing can escape before being filtered by the HEPA filter.
Adjustment Setting
Winner: Tie
The head of the Dyson Ball Animal 2 will automatically change height to fit different surfaces. You can also turn off the brush roll before cleaning your hard floors by pressing a button near the handle.
The Shark Vertex ICZ362H allows you to swap between “Carpet” and “Bare Floor” settings, which only change the speed of its brush rolls. It has three suction power settings: the “Deep Clean” setting (default), the “ECO” setting (energy-efficient), and the “Boost” setting (high-power) for dealing with stubborn debris.
Special Features
Winner: Shark Vertex ICZ362H
Regarding bells and whistles, the Shark Vertex ICZ362H completely outshines its competitor.
Thanks to the powered lift-away feature, the ICZ362H can be used as a semi-handheld vacuum or a stick vacuum. As a result, cleaning hard-to-reach areas and under furniture is a breeze with this machine.
The ICZ362H also has a DuoClean floorhead, which includes a soft roller and a PowerFins brush roll, which help deep clean carpets and maintain the glossy look of hard floors. I call this “killing two birds with one stone!” Its brush roll is specifically designed to minimize tangled hair, which is why it’s called “self-cleaning.”
There are some LED bulbs in front of the nozzle to make dust and dirt more visible, and there is a LED screen on the handle showing the remaining battery life, suction mode, and surface setting.
