If you regularly read my comparisons, you can see how great Shark NV752 is. It has won quite a few victories recently. This machine offers all the features of a quality vacuum cleaner such as strong suction, durable design, HEPA filtration system, not too noisy, and so on.
And this time, Shark AZ2002 has the upper hand due to its outstanding performance. This device not only contains all the same features as its opponent but also more. In which, the most prominent is DouClean PowerFins with Self-cleaning brushroll.

Shark NV752 vs AZ2002: Differences
After weighing the differences between the two vacuums, I conclude Shark AZ2002 wins 3:1 against Shark NV752 thanks to its cleaning performance and utilities. Read the analysis below to discover more about the pros and cons of each machine.
Cleaning performance
The winner: Shark AZ2002
Compatible floor type
These vacuum cleaners perform well on multiple surfaces, such as hard floors, low-pile carpets, area rugs, and more.
I tested these two vacuums on hardwood floors with different-sized debris including chili flakes, kitty litter, rice, sugar, and cereal. The result is the NV752 that goes easy with most particles, except for Froot Loops. It is almost impossible for this machine to pick up this cereal type with the cleaner head, instead, you need to use the wand.
As for the AZ2002, it can vacuum the debris mentioned above with no struggle. Honestly, it works so smoothly without the nozzle height adjustment function.
On carpets, both machines do a decent job when picking up such types of debris. The NV752 can move quite easily on low- and medium-pile carpets. It is because once you get the brush roll spinning, it will pull the vacuum along. However, it is quite a struggle to move on long-pile and shag carpets. In my opinion, this may be due to the strong suction causing the vacuum to grab the hairs on the carpet and this causes it to roll on such types of carpets.
Similarly, the AZ2002 also performed very well on low- and medium-pile carpets. It just struggles a bit with superfine sugar, the smallest debris in my test. On the high-pile carpet, although it’s still a bit difficult, overall, the AZ2002 moves easier than the NV752.
Pet hair performance
In my experience, these machines handle pet hair at a good level. Comparing the performance between these two models, the AZ2002 works better than the NV752. The Vetex cleans pet hair faster with almost nothing left on its roller brush. The point that makes the difference between the two vacuums is the self-cleaning brush roll of Shark AZ2002. I observed the cleaner heads of both after the pet hair performance test and the results were obvious. The NV752 had quite much pet hair stuck on the brushroll while the AZ2002’s was almost clean.
Dirt bin ANd Filtration

These are all bagless vacuum cleaners. All dust, dirt, and small particles that have been vacuumed are retained inside the dirt container. As a transparent cup, with a full indicator line, it is easy for users to observe. These cups are also easy to empty and clean. Press the release button to separate the dirt compartment, then place it under the trash can, one hand holds the handle on its top, and the other hand press the second button to open the bottom lid of the dust cup so all the dirt will drop out into the trash.
In terms of size, they are large enough that you don’t need to empty them too frequently. The AZ2002 has a slightly larger dust cup capacity than the NV752.
Filtration
Both Shark NV752 and AZ2002 share the same filtration system. Each system comes with two pre-motor filters and one post-motor filter. All of the filters are washable and easy to access. You can rinse them in water and let them dry for at least 24 hours before putting them back into the vacuum.
The post-motor filter is a HEPA filter, which is great for filtering dust and reducing odor. It is located on the front, just above the cleaner head of the vacuum cleaner. This filter traps 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns in size, including dust, pollen, bacteria, and more. Therefore, it is perfect for those who have allergies or respiratory problems.
Two pre-motor filters are located under the dirt compartment, one is a foam filter and the other is a felt filter.
Design and convenience
The winner: Shark NV752
Build quality
Like the majority of upright vacuum cleaners, most of the parts on these machines are made of plastic, but overall they’re still pretty sturdy.
These two vacuums are about the same size but the AZ2002 is slightly larger and heavier, which is negligible.
In addition, they also have the same body style. All control buttons are located on the handle. However, the NV752 is added by the manufacturer with LED lights on it. I like this design because of its convenience. No matter what attachment tool you use, your path is always illuminated.
Maneuverability
The maneuverability on both vacuums is quite good. They have advanced swivel steering and a decent turning radius. They also can recline and lay nearly flat against the floor which is helpful to clean under furniture.
They all come with a 30-foot power cord, long enough for you to clean a large room without seeking another outlet. Their hoses are of normal length, the AZ2002 is 5.5 feet, and the NV752 is 6 feet. I have come across many other vacuums with much longer hoses like this one.
The special feature of the machines is the lift-away mode, which allows them to function as a handheld vacuum. This function helps to reduce weight and increase the flexibility of the machine. This feature is very easy to operate, press the button on the top of the dirt compartment and then lift it up, and done.
Noise level
All upright vacuums make noise, and so do these.
After testing the noise level of the two machines on a low-pile carpet, I concluded that the NV752 is quieter than the AZ2002. Specifically, the NV752’s noise level is 75.2 dB, while the AZ2002’s is 77.5 dB. Both have slightly above-average noise levels. Just to give a sense of magnitude, they may sound a little louder than a normal conversation. Note that the noise level may vary depending on the vacuumed surface and the suction mode you choose.
Utilities
The winner: Shark AZ2002
One point that enhances the ability to pick up the dirt of the AZ2002 is the distinct cleaner head design. This machine comes with two brush rolls. One is a soft roller and the other is a spiral rubberized roller with added power fins. These brush rolls work together to dig deeper into carpets while making direct contact and gently cleaning hard floors. In addition, these roller brushes are self-cleaning, helping to prevent tangles when picking up human and pet hair.
Meanwhile, the NV752 is only equipped with a standard traditional, so it is a bit less convenient.
Shark NV752 vs AZ2002: Similarities
Overall, Shark NV752 and AZ2002 share many similarities in both their external appearance and internal structure. Among them, the most striking similarity is the Powered Lift-Away function.
